Introduction

Welcome to my build on Ashe, The Frost Archer. This is my second build, and this is my unique way of playing Ashe as an effective, useful carry.

How I Counter Ashe's Cons

Ashe is extremely squishy.
I get Phage early in the game to help counter this, and later on completing Frozen Mallet. Also, i like to get another defensive item such as Guardian Angel or Banshee's Veil .

Not the best Survivability
For this i like to get Boots of Swiftness and Phantom Dancer. this gives alot of movement speed, which allows you to leave fights/ escape quickly. Flahs and ghost also attribute to this.

Runes

Greater Mark of Desolation I go with standard Armor pen marks to increase damage output, and help vs tanks. Not to mention the fact that with armor pen, squishy champions, such as Twitch, can have their armor reduced to 0 making your attacks deal even more damage.

Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration I use these because of Ashe's mana problems. they help alot since Ashe doesn't have a large mana pool, and because she can use her mana up EXTREMELY quickly.

Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction With these, you will be able to spam Volley with a pretty short cooldown, and the fact that your Enchanted Crystal Arrow (Ult) will easily have around a 45-50 second cooldown, which allows you to use it alot more often.

Greater Quintessence of Desolation Pretty much the same as marks. great for doing more damage :D

Masteries

I go with standard 21/0/9 masteries. I put a point in Archaic Knowledge for your ult, and Madred's Bloodrazor, which does magic damage. I go full 21 points to get Havoc, which helps a TON!
in Utility, i like the mana talent instead of the buff duration because of Ashe's mana issues.

Skill Sequence

I max out Volley because it is your main spamming skill; to harrass, and distribute your frost arrows.
Frost Shot i max out second. it helps alot for escaping, and slowing down champions which guarantee you a kill.
Hawkshot this skill is so useful..when i see people never use this, it makes me cry. At rank 5, you can basically see baron from your base. this helps a ton for map awareness, and the extra gold per kill is just a cherry on top! It is also useful to use before your ult to see where a enemy champ with low health is, so that you can kill him with your ult.
Enchanted Crystal Arrow this is your ultimate. It's amazing! Use it to save an ally, get an edge on another champion, or cap off a running champion.

Summoner Spells

with summoner skills, i think the only viable options are
Flash - your get the hell out card. get away from that chasing champion, or get that last bit of distance to get a kill.

Ghost - useful for getting to your allies fast, or escaping. pretty useful.

Exhaust decent if you feel confident in your survival abilities, but if you only use for the slow, its not worth it since you have Frost Arrow frost arrow.

I feel that all other summoner abilities are inferior to play an effective Ashe.

Items

I start with Boots boots of speed, and 2 icon Health Potion=16 health pots. these help you get in and out of ganks, and they give you a little boost into the build.

Zeal Next, i build a zeal. this also contributes to your attack speed, crit, and movement speed. basically a great overall item.

Phage is after the Zeal. this helps with your survivability a lot, and the extra slow is nice.

Boots of Swiftness are the boots you get after the zeal and phage. if needed, you can always purchase this earlier/later in the game, this is just where i usually get it.

B.F. Sword your first big item! this lets you hit like a boss. zeal, phage, and a B.F. sword all help to make you extremely deadly mid game.

Infinity Edge this item is amazing for Ashe. with the crit from your passive, and your zeal, your damage and crits hit extremely hard.

Phantom Dancer This is pretty much necessary with your Infinity Edge. its not an expensive upgrade from Zeal, and the stats that the Phantom Dancer upgrades, is amazing.

Frozen Mallet here is where my build differs from others. The frozen mallet is a great choice for Ashe. the Slows stack, allowing for even greater movement slow. The HP and damage are also awesome for Ashe.

Madred's Bloodrazor is another great item. With your attack speed, this helps alot with fighting tanks. 5% of total health per hit, with around a 1.7-1.8 attack speed and you can rip through almost anyone. The attack speed and damage are great for launching those frost arrows even faster and stronger at your target.

6th item choice:
Black Cleaver this is good for if you are having a great game, and want a little bit more armor penetration.

Bloodthirster this is awesome if you want to go for just raw damage and lifesteal

Banshee's Veil is extremely helpful if you are still having survival issues against magic users (Ryze, Vladimir, etc.)

Guardian Angel is a great 6th item. being able to be reborn if your focused in a fight, along with the extra armor and magic resistance make this item epic!

Gameplay

Mid is preferred. If someone else needs mid, an outside lane is still effective.
Stay in the back of fights. Take out the enemy carries, and bring your team to victory!
use your Hawkshot often. It is an amazing scouting tool for your team!
