Introduction

NOTE: THIS GUIDE IS INCOMPLETE

One of the perennial favorites of summoners in the League of Legends is the Freljordian beauty known as Ashe. She is a direct descendant of Avarosa - one of three legendary sisters who each claimed dominion over the scattered tribes dwelling in the icy tundra of northern Valoran. Ashe mirrors her ancestor's unparalleled mastery of the bow, earning her the title of ''the Frost Archer'' the way Avarosa did during her era. Ashe is a literal Princess amongst her people, though she prefers to be addressed by outsiders as her tribal title rather than any form of royal moniker. There are those in Freljord, however, that would prefer to address Ashe as the ''late'' Frost Archer; the other two tribes that are descendants from the Three Sisters are historically sworn enemies of Ashe and her people. Having survived more than one assassination attempt in her life, Ashe is always aware of her surroundings regardless of where she is.

Ashe originally came to the Institute of War in service of the League summoners, seeking enough influence and favor to finally bring peace to her realm - one that has endured civil strife since Avarosa and the Time of the Three Sisters. With countless victories under her belt, she has started to put the influence she has earned in the League to use. Rumors abound that Ashe has begun to associate herself with fellow champion Tryndamere outside of the Fields of Justice. While she denies such talk as frivolous, all eyes will remain on Ashe now that her success in the League may finally allow her to restore lasting peace to her people.

''It's a good idea to spread out. Ashe can hit five birds with one arrow.'' -- Tryndamere

This guide is based on the Ashe: Carry ranked games with a larger emphasis on early game and some optional items that, i believe, would work really well on ashe.

Runes

Greater Mark of Desolation
Pretty self-explanatory, some ArP to get past the base armor of the weaker champs.

With these runes, you should have very few mana problems if you use your volley properly and avoid spam early game.

This will lower the cd for your ulti, volley, and hawkshot so that you can spam them.
Greater Quintessence of Desolation
some more ArP to get past that base armor and do awesome damage :D

Items

Core Items:

Item order and explanation:

Vampiric Scepter:
This item offers great survivability and builds up into your wriggle's lantern. With the upcoming nerf to the dorans' items, this item is your best choice(in the upcoming patch, the dorans' items will increase in cost so that u cant buy it along with a potion).

Boots of Speed:
Getting boots at this point will help you maneuver to get in your volley shots and avoid enemy hits. Without them, you could be killed because of your slow move speed. when you return to get boots, you should get some wards if the enemy team has a jungler or stealth champ(eve, twitch, shaco).

Wriggle's Lantern:
Wow.... just wow this item is amazing. Its beyond me why more people don't get it when laning. You have your armor which does wonders early game. if you are facing a physical champ, their damage will be greatly reduced. The damage will make your skills hurt, they will probably have to return to base or risk dying by you. Life steal combined with the proc will make you impossible to harass. 500 + attack damage *0.14 lifesteal= alot of health returned to you(you also get the minion kill; a good bonus :D). The active: you can put a ward wherever you want(this will save you the hassle of buying wards and it will probably save your live many times).

Boots of Swiftness:
These boots are great from saving allies, getting into and away from battles, and kiting people. Boots of mobility are also viable, but i'll talk about that later.

Doran's blade:
These are great for a little extra damage boost and some more survivability. If you are being fed or are having no trouble dealing with your enemies, you can skip this.

The Brutalizer:
Great damage and ArP help you dish out damage to your enemies. The cd is great for spamming your ulti and volley in team battles. The price says it all, 1337.

Recvurve Bow:
Builds up to Stark's fervor, but it gives you attack speed, boosting your damage and allowing you to apply your slow faster and more often.

Stark's Fervor:
With Stark's Fervor, you're a great tower killer, with lots of vamp, and pretty high dps because of the ArP. At this point, you should have around 140-150 attack, 60 ArP, and around 1.2 attack speed. you should be hitting people pretty hard. most champs will have about 50 armor right now, so it will take you 10% less damage to kill people combined with 150 attack and 1.2 attack speed; thats alot of damage. around 200 dps with normal attack, around 250 with volley, and 425 with your ulti will bring people down very fast.

The Black Cleaver:
With the recent change to the black cleaver, this item is a must for ashe. 15 armor reduction per stack, a great 55 attack, and 30 attack speed will give you a crazy dps boost.

The Bloodthirster:
To get this, you need to seel your Doran's Blade. If your enemies haven't started stacking armor, they will after they see you hit them with this. You get a massive 100 attack and 25% lifesteal, need i say more?
