Beefy Jungle Trundle - Trolling like a boss
Hello everyone and welcome to my(first) guide here on MOBAFIRE, featuring Trundle, the cursed troll. I will guide you through how I play Trundle, as well as some tips and tricks. I just want to point out that English is not my main language so there might be some strange sentences or words in the text, although I'll of course read it through before posting.
Enjoy!

Summoner spells
Flash is argueably the best summoner spell in the game. It can take you out of dangerous situations in a flash(awful joke) and can let you catch up to fleeing enemies. Only real downside is it's long cooldown.
A must for any jungler. Will help you out very much and give your team a useful tool when trying to steal baron i.e. Do not play a jungler without it!
Situational spells
Ghost can work just as good as flash. It wont take you over a wall but it'll make you able to outrun everyone in almost all situations. Comes with a lower cooldown than flash too.
Works okay too. The damage decrease is nice and the slow will make cathing up to enemies or fleeing a breeze. Can work.
The rest
I do not see why you should use these spells on Trundle. Taking ignite for someone like Mundo is okay I suppose but you'd rather let someone else do that. No, stick to the spells above.
Item Sequence
My first finished item is Wriggle's. It gives attack damage, armor, lifesteal and a very potent and usefull passive. Even more, it gives you a free ward to place, which respawns when the ward times out. Very very good item for Trundle.
Will be built into a frozen mallet. Gives a nice bonus to your attack damage and health and a chance to slow ain't that bad either.
Great pair of boots. Magic resist is useful and tenacity will help alot(add it to your W and you are almost untouchable).
Now we're talking. This will make you very hard to stop and to flee from. And you will be quite tanky already.
I usually rush this item after the mallet to add to my already great survivarbility. Health regen will help you during the calm times in the game.
Great item for Trundle. Armor? Yes please, and, some nice critical strike chance too. An this is not all. It will convert 2% of your maximum health to attack damage. With your mallet and mog, this will provide a great bonus to your damage output.
Even more damage for the troll and lifesteal to increase your sustain. One of the core items in this build.
At this time I usually sell Wriggle's and buy IE instead. This will give you crazy damage, paired together with a nice increase to your critical strike chance.
Other items
Feel free to try other items if you don't like this setup, altough I think this works best.
Some items I could consider would be:
If the enemy team comes with heavy magic damage then this item would do fine. A nice shield is in there too.
Often overlooked, but it features nice aerial splash damage, attack damage mana and health regen. I would not usually use this but it may work, depending on the situation.
Whenever an enemy unit near Trundle dies, he heals for a percent of their maximum health.
A great passive. It will help you out in the jungle and farming a lane might heal you up quite much. Note that you don't have to kill the enemy. It just need to diin the range of "Decompose" for it to count.
Trundle bites his opponent instead of attacking for his next standard attack, dealing 30/45/60/75/90 (+ ) physical damage. This attack increases Trundle's Attack Damage by 20/25/30/35/40 for 8 seconds, with his opponent losing half of this amount.
Cost: 40 Mana
Your main ability, should be maxed out immediately. It will give you a free basic attack if timed correctly and will move you slightly forward. The damage increase is is nice and the decrease ist just as good. Longer duration than the cooldown so keep at it.
Trundle affects target location with his curse for 8 seconds, gaining 20/25/30/35/40% Movement Speed, 20/30/40/50/60% Attack Speed and 20/25/30/35/40% Crowd Control Reduction while on it.
Cost: 60 Mana
Always try to fight ontop of this. Attack speed is very useful and the crowd control reduction will make you very hard to stop. It should be maxed out by level 13, taking one point on level two to help out your jungeling.
Trundle creates a plagued beacon at target location, becoming impassable terrain and slowing all nearby enemy units by 25/30/35/40/45%.
Cost: 60 Mana
Great for crowd control and to completely seal of a passage for a short time. It is mostly a utility spell though, so max it out last. Although one point should be grabbed early to make ganks easier.
Trundle immediately drains a target of 100/175/250 (+0.6) Health and 15/20/25% of their Armor and Magic Resist, and then drains them again for the total of these amounts over the next 6 seconds. Trundle gains these stats for himself while the target is being drained.
Cost: 75 Mana
A very powerful ultimate. Can bring down the defences of a tanky enemy and will also buff yours. The health stolen is also a nice bonus and might just save your *** in a tight moment.
This is how my skill sequency looks like: If you would like to gank earlier, think about grabbing pillar of filth on level three instead.
Immediately start by using Agony on the tankiest enemy. This will boost your defences while draining his/hers. Use Contaminate on the area where the battle takes place and try to stay on it. Block of single targets from their team with Pillar of Filth and keep lunging towards the enemies with Rabid Bite. Your health, armor, lifesteal and Decompose should keep you alive.
Trundle is very durable with this build, but, he's not invincible. Don't engage in stupid positions or when you are alone unless it's basically a free kill. A smart opponent will know how to kite you and lure you into his/her team. Use your brain instead of your muscles.
I hope you enjoyed reading and that you are full with ideas how best to troll your opponents. Have a pleasant day!
Sincerely, BananKisEn!
