Champion Build Guide

Introduction

Hi, i am YiOlaf from EUNE and i'm playing Ranked (Solo/Duo) mode from Season 6.
I am Gold 3 right now but i'm aiming for the Plat. I'm playing from Season 9.
is an underrated champion for toplane and I like it because it have damage, lifesteal, a lot of hp and 1v5 carrying potential.

PROS - CONS

Pros

+ lot of damage
+ lot of lifesteal
+ 1v5 potential
+ can comeback in late if got kills

Cons

- weak earl
- low mobility
- got a lot of hard matchups

Runes

Conqueror scales with your W Purge . The bonus damage is good for early and lifesteal stacks with Death's Dance and Spirit Visage .
Triumph gives you heal after killing somebody and gives you the chance to do the second kill.
Legend: tenacity gives you more tenacity and it helps you because you dont have mobility.
Last stand gives you more damage to can 1v1 enemies in lane and it gives you more lifesteal one you have Death's Dance .

Demolish helps you pushing more because can split with his W Purge .
Bone plating helps you trading and fighting easier in early game.

Summoner Spells

Flash is essential for because Ghost is not as same powerful on .
With Ignite you can win easier fights against early champs like or or you can take Ignite if the lane opponent have a lot of healings in early.
You can take Teleport to make roams to help your team or if you have on lane an extremely late scaler like to stay in lane as much as possible to farm and push more than the enemy can.

Items

Doran's Blade is good for start for every damage dealer, but if you are a good at farming and reach 100 farm i recommend you Cull because it gives you bonus gold and don't have such a powerful early game.

Black Cleaver is the best first item for because of his passive. Death's Dance scales very good with your W Purge especially at lvl 9. About the boots: Mercury's Treads are very good because they give tenacity and dont have soo much mobility, but Ninja Tabi are a good option against a full AD team.

You have to take Bramble Vest if the enemies have healings to reduce it. Spectre's Cowl is good when you win a fight or a trade because it gives healing regeneration.

Thornmail is good against a lot of AD and if enemies have lifesteal. Spirit Visage in combo with Death's Dance gives you the heal you need to survive a 1v2 or 1v3.

Guardian Angel is good because your job is to go in them and because you dont have mobility is very hard to escape a teamfight. Warmog's Armor gives more hp and it's good against true damage. Frozen Mallet is a great item against range or assasins like who can escape from you, because it scales with your W.

Ability Explanation

Echoing Flames is the reason he is so dangerous to fight against him.

Corrosive Charge can be used as a poke ability.

Purge is the ability which make him unkillable after lvl 9, but be careful after casting it you will be slowed when you attack somebody. Try to select you target using on him another ability.

Disdain is the ability which give you shield and stun in a dash. Try to combine it with Flash .

Fear Beyond Death is the perfect ability to can finish somebody and after continuing your doom of terror killing everybody else when they are feared

DON'T FORGET: Your power spike is at lvl 9. Try to farm and not to die and after lvl 9 you can fight everyone.

Lane Phase / Early Game

In early game is not very powerful. If you fight against poke champion like you can poke him too with your Q Purge . Take advantage of your range and try to farm from a safe distance trying to use just 2 or 3 hits from your Passive Echoing Flames and keep thhe other 4 for trades and fights. Try to make circles around him to hit all your available Passive Echoing Flames hits. You can use your Flash after your E Disdain to escape silly situations or to catch someone you cant reach, because you dont have mobility.
Against early champion like or you need to stay as def as possible until you make lvl 6 or 9 when you can try to 1v1 if you want to. Against late champions i recommend you to take tp to can stay as much as possible in lane or roam ather lane to make kills and get fed faster than you can to take early advantage.
Try to farm until lvl 6 and after you can fight if you want to.

Mid Game / Team Fighting

After reaching lvl 9 and max your W Purge you can fight everyone. However, don't think you are Superman so try not to dive enemies.
If you are against a hard push champion like after destroy the first tower try to demolish the second one too to can take advantage i case he won't help his team and will push continuously. If you are against someone who take care of his team destroy the first tower and go to help your team.
If you are fed and can 1v2 or 1v3 and your team can win teamfights without you, i suggest to push as much as you can on top and after split on other lanes. But if your team cant handle the fights in 4 go to help them and if winning try to split when enemies are dead. If you are losing try to do as much Objectives like Baron and Drakes as you can.

Late Game

If game goes to late you have to be full items as fast as you can. If you are full items try to give kills to your team to help them take more items. If you have n hard engage champion in team like or let them engage, but if you are the only tank in the team use your Flash and your E Disdain to engage.

REMEMBER: If they have assasins like or try to protect your adc because you can defeat assasin easy and after going for the enemy adc if possible.

Conclusion

Urgot is an underrated late champion and it is played well can 1v5 in every rank.
