Brand is out for 2 days now. I had a lot of matches playing him myself and playing against him.
But its still too early to write a full guide. So this ist just a rough guideline for beginners i wrote after 2 days of fooling around with different item combos ans skill sequences. I will update it from time to time wehen i got more expirienced with Brand.
I tried my best but my english isnt that good. I hope its understandable.

At first it's important to know that each of Brands abilities has an extra effect on the target or targets around if your target is "ablaze".

You can set your target ablaze with hitting it with one of your 4 abilities. Every spell you cast while your target is ablaze will have an extra effect.

More information about spell usage in the next chapter.

Brand launches a ball of fire forward that deals magic damage. If the target is ablaze, the target will be stunned for 2 seconds.

After a short delay, Brand creates a pillar of flame at a target area, dealing magic damage to enemy units with the area. Units that are ablaze take an additional 25% damage.

Brand conjures a powerful blast at his target, dealing magic damage to them. If the target is ablaze, the conflagration spreads to nearby enemies.

Brand unleashes a devastating torrent of fire, dealing damage each time it bounces. If a target is ablaze, Pyroclasm's missile speed increases.


Brand's spells light his targets ablaze, dealing 2% of their maximum Health in magic damage per second for 4 seconds.

Great Passive! You'll get many kills with that, especially in early game. It's like an automatic ignite and hunts down enemies you wouldnt get without tower diving or ghost.

Skill Sequence

My skill sequence seems a little bit weird, but it works great for me!

I try to max Pillar of Flame and Sear first (where Pillar of Flame ist most important). Conflagration along the way because i just use it so set enemies ablaze/stun or kill low-hp running enemies.

If you got your enemy stunned by Conflagration > Sear, Pillar of Flame is the spell which will do the most damage. Its also good in early game teamfights when your Pillar of Flame is maxed first & boosted by AP.

Spell Usage

As already mentioned, every spell has an extra effect if the target is ablaze. Thats the key to slay your enemies! [[Sear]] will stun your enemy for 2 seconds if he's already ablaze. [[Pillar of Flame]] will do 25% additional damage if your target is ablaze. [[Conflagration]] will spread if the target you cast it on is ablaze. Brands Ult, [[Pyroclasm]], is a hughe fire ball that bounces around between nearby enemies. Always set your targrt ablaze before using Pyroclasm. That will speed up the ball and avoids that enemies escape. The other spells extras can be combined as you need them. [b]Wanna kill a group of minions?[/b] Depends on how strong your spells already are. [b][[Conflagration]] stronger than [[Pillar of Flame]]:[/b] Set one ablaze with [[Sear]] or a few with [[Pillar of Flame]] and spread [[Conflagration]] by hitting a minion ablaze with it. [b][[Pillar of Flame]] strogner than [[Conflagration]]:[/b] Set one ablaze with [[Sear]], spread [[Confligration]] and kill em with [[Pillar of Flame]]. [b]Battleing an enemy[/b] Try to harass and annoy your enemy with [[Pillar of Flame]]. If these both are on CD by killing minions you can harass with [[Conflagration]]. If the enemy is ablaze always try to stun and harass more. [b]If it����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������´s getting serious here is how it works:[/b] In my Build [[Conflagration]] is maxed at the end because i just use it to set enemies ablaze. Do that with your enemy, throw [[Sear]] after him to stun him for 2 seconds and place the [[Pillar of Flame]] under him. That will usually get him to 25% -35% hp if he had 100%. Finish him with auto attack if his movement speed is not too good or kill him with the next ability which is free from cooldown. Of course you can ult too. 1v1 combo: [[Conflagration]] > [[Sear]] > [[Pillar of Flame]] > Autoattack/Ult/next free Spell In Teamfights stay a little bit behind your mates. You dont have a lot hp ! [[Place Pillar of Flame]] under em, stun focus targets and ult if tehre����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������´s at least one who would die from it. You can save running mates too by setting them ablaze and stun em with Sear. Always stay safe! Its your advantage that most of your enemies will underrate the damage of your full combo. Wait until they get too greedy, turn around while stunning and rape ����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������´em!

Summoner Spells

Lots of you will call me noob for that choice but i dont care.

For Champs like Brand in my opinion the best choice is


Why? Well..
With spells like Ignite, Smite, Exhause etc. you might be able to get one kill from an escaping enemy..
With Heal/Clarity you have the ability to stay longer in a lane and dont have to go back to base cause you're low on hp or mana. You can prevent the creep waves from slowly raping your tower while you are at the base/running back. Also Heal can save your life many times, and you may kill the attacking enemy when YOU are escaping cause you suddenly are back at 50% hp (as often seen in the first blood fights top and bot lane) ;)

The more AP the better. Simple.
But dont forget that all depends on the enemy champs and their style of playing.
Sometimes a little bit HP, Mag Res or Armor is better than AP or AD.

Follow the common builds for other AP Champs and buys items suiting your enemies
(AP+Mag Res., AP+HP, AP+Mag Pen.,).

I always owned with the following build order:

Some AP and Manareg is always good

Speed & Magic penetration

For AP and additional penetration

Always a good choice. AP, HP & slow

The more, the better ;)

Good late game choice. Armor and Magic resist + revive every 5 mins.



You dont need the mana! You don����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������´t have enough for the passive. If you skilled like me you����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½������¯����¯�¿�½������¿����¯�¿�½������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������´ve got clarity. That sould be enough if you get low on mana. I never had mana problems.
