Pre Intro

I would like to thank everyone who supported me, and forced me to make this Riven guide. I'm going to go out and say this: Riven is NOT A TANKY DPS! Do you dare write a guide, with Atmogs? On what grounds? She has no steroid, meaning she can't be tanky. Unless you waste extra item slots on tanky items. In which case, I am disappoint.

Introduction

Riven, the sexiest champion in the game, by far my current favorite. Easily one of the best DPS in the game, but the problem, is the everything else, not a lot of damage early, not a lot late, unless either fed or the enemies are dumb. The skill it takes to use Riven, is beyond me, I still can't do the combo right, but then again, I don't think anyone can. But it's a very easy combo to learn. Simply put, she revolves around it. I could sum it up here, but I have the rest of the guide to do that, so let us... COMMENCE!

Runes

Runes:

MARKS: Flat Attack damage, needed for early game, makes passive, Broken Wings and Valor much more effective, Ki Burst, is already too effective as is.

SEALS: Armor, never enough.

GLYPHS: Attack speed, much needed early game, flat AD isn't useful, because it gives about 2 AD.

QUINTESSENCES: Health quins allow amazing early game survivability. If you get first blood you can blame it on these awesome runes.

Masteries

22-0-8

Oh, this is sweet, like chocolate, and sugar, having a threesome with marshmallows. This mastery page will literally, make you unstoppable. Havoc, is just too OP! Good hands, so you can rain righteous death from the sky upon your defeat, by waiting six seconds less to come back and catch them with their pants down at baron or in your jungle. Bonus exp masteries always a good thing when you're the same level as solo.

Items

Doran's Blade: Some AD, Hp, and lifesteal very early on, very useful to almost every AD.

Mercury's Treads: Since Riven is a very close and personal champion, some tenacity works well when engaging the enemy and slashing the **** out of them.

Trinity Force: I'm not going to cover every item I buy, because all of them give the same bonuses except in smaller sizes. Gives all of Sheen, Phage, and Zeal too. Very nice combining with your passive. Best thing I've ever seen, go try it.

Black Cleaver: This... This is just too much. There's a point, when you just make the enemies rage quit, getting this... is that point. The armor debuff works well with your skills, seeing as how they're all AD.

Frozen Mallet: Great Hp, and a small bit of AD, the guaranteed slow is amazing. Makes you a bit tankier, seeing as now you don't die before you can see the enemies.

Bloodthirster: The only lifesteal you need on anyone, plus 100 bonus AD. I smell a GG soon.

Banshee's Veil: Some MR, survivability and a shield that can block any skill. Feel free to dash right into your enemies and rape them.

Skill Sequence

Runic Blade: Very simple, upon spell cast, next auto attack deals bonus damage based on current AD.

Broken Wings: Your Q skill. A chain hitting, 3 strike close ranged combo, ending with a short knock-back. Very fun and easy to chain with:
Q > Auto Attack > Q > Auto Attack > Q > Auto Attack, is the basis for the skill combo.
It'll get more advanced as we learn the skills. But it's like dancing, it takes a lot of practice, but you can't forget it.

Ki Burst: Your W skill. A small AoE stun, with really good damage and scaling. I think this is your best skill, so maxing it first is a no brainer. Your new combo will go like this:
Q > Auto Attack > Q > Auto Attack > Q > W > Auto Attack.
Sure you miss out on one auto attack at the end, but it's well worth it

Valor: Your E skill. It's like Shen's Shadow Dash and Feint combined, minus the taunt. Small dash, with a shield, good for engaging with. Combo should look like this:
E > Auto Attack > W > Auto Attack > Q > Auto Attack > Q > Auto Attack > Q > W > Auto Attack.
Same as before, except using the passive to keep the chain going for as long as possible.

Blade of the Exile: Absolute heaven on earth. For the next 20 seconds, you are god, do what you will. Increases AA range, skill range, gives 20% AD boost and the ability to cast Wind Slash once. There is a misconception about her ultimate, and it's that people think that using Wind Slash ends the buffs, well it doesn't. I don't recommend using it first though.

Wind Slash: Deals heavy damage based on targets current Hp also is a ranged AoE, so kind of hard to hit. But doing so, is very nice.

Final combo:
R > Auto Attack > E > Auto Attack > W > Auto Attack > Q > Auto Attack > Q > Auto Attack > Q > W > Auto Attack > R.

Throwing in the Summoner Spells below make this combo even more devastating.

Summoner Spells

Exhaust: Do I really need to explain this one?

Flash: Better gap closer, seeing as you don't have a reliable one. And escape from anything by going through a wall? Yup...

Ghost: Substitute for Flash, however I do prefer the above rather than this.

Ignite: For when they get away with just 4 Hp, or if they rely on lifesteal/spellvamp/healing, to shut them down.

Two odd ones next, but both are viable still

Fortify: Many people tower dive, and many people take the tower lightly. Using this will make them think twice about that.

Rally: Yes, Rally.. I've tried it, fairly useful in a solo top/bot lane. Yes Riven can solo lane.

Pros / Cons

PROS:
WAY TOO OP!
SEXIEST CHAMPION IN THE GAME.
VERY POWERFUL IF USED RIGHT.

CONS:
SQUISHY.
CANNOT TANK.
LOW DAMAGE EARLY.
STILL SQUISHY.
USUALLY NEEDS FEEDING TO GET BUILD.

Creeping / Jungling

She can jungle with ease, if you know what you're doing.

Start at wolves, go to ghouls, then golems, then blue, then whatever else is still alive, I don;t care, go find someone else to jungle your Riven for you.

See a wave of minions? Q and E should do the trick.

Teamwork

No team needed, but some team useful. Having a lot of CC to make up for yours is very good, any one will do. Her best lane partner by far is Leona. So much CC, some much tankiness. So helpful if you can't solo lane.

FAQ

Q: Why not max Q.
A: Best scaling for bonus AD out of all her skills, and instant damage is the best type of damage. Plus I need CC.

Q: Why do you need blue buff? You have no mana!
A: Cooldown Reduction = 25 seconds on Blade of the Exile/ Wind Slash.

Q: Why not 1v1 that Fiddlesticks?
A: I hate Fiddlesticks, only person who can 1v1 Jax and Xin zhao, without going back.

MORE TO COME!
