No PEEL, heavy cc, shielding or heals. Either you or your adc gets hooked you die - unless you rush a Zhonya's for when you're hooked to allow your ADC to walk up.
Alistar
Play it safe and poke as usual, if he can't walk up he isn't much of a threat due to brand not being a hard engage support. But if you do get bashed into them he has no good and consistent CC or PEEL ability to escape.
Bard
Out-poke him, don't stand close to walls. Easy match-up - his lack of presence in lane allows you to get fed off pressure.
Braum
Rush a haunting guise, pick him off before the adc, or else your damage will be spread due to braum's kit - can leap and block your stun from not being ablaze - but other than that he doesn't engage or pick you or your adc off so you'll be safe to out-poke.
Galio
Easy to poke but if you get taunted it can be a problem - just play safe and poke and it should be an easy lane.
Janna
Full combo melts her but her shield in the first few levels are annoying - just wait it out and you'll find yourself on top.
Karma
Her poke is better than yours for the first few levels due to her empowered q - but when you get a few levels your full combo destroys her hp.
Leona
Leona's engage is a tough one. But her CC isnt enough due to your all in damage. But level 6 this changes and her cc instantly becomes enough. Bully as best you can pre 6 or it's doomed.
Lulu
Kill her, waste her shield, hard shove and pressure her. Her shield and damage are problems but with a little pressure you should be able to poke her to death.
Lux
One. Shot. Her. Just like you do to ezreal. Her root isnt a problem due to it's range.
Morgana
Her spell shield is no problem due to you having 3 good spells. Sure she blocks your stun and then you hit her with e, w which does crazy damage still because you're playing brand... Her root is annoying due to the duration especially be careful if her ADC has high burst such as kai'sa.
Nami
Heals it all back as well as decent engage. Go for all ins and dodge her slow firing stun.
Nautilus
Alot of cc and engage - mobility is good but kite-able which is what makes it winnable.
Pyke
You sit behind minions and poke - his kit doesn't allow him to do anything about this due to his range especially compared to your w.
Rakan
Hard engage - very annoying. Do your best to full combo trade and keep your distance.
Sona
Full combo all in wins you lane - her poke and heal is annoying in the neutral until the engage.
Soraka
Heals. It. All. Back. Rush Morello instead of Liandry's or Rylai's.
Tahm Kench
No mobility, so you should be able to kite - but do respect his damage. It can be more than you expect.
Taric
Easy to poke and kite - you are much longer range than him - have fun with this easy lane.
Thresh
Hook is annoying but not as bad as Blitzcrank. It's hard to escape post 6 due to his slow on his ultimate and his flay, but usually your all ins should be fine as long as you and your adc target their adc.
Veigar
His stun at max range is roughly the range of your w so it's hard to poke. You get picked off post 6 due to his annoyingly high damage and you can't do anything but cry. Try to control bushes and all in him kiting his abilities due to all of them being skill shots - apart from his ult. Which is why you bully pre 6.
Vel'Koz
Probably out-pokes you but your all in trades are better. At level 6 you will win the all ins despite his menacing looking laser as long as you have an adc who can right click properly.
Yuumi
Healing stops your entire kit as well as her w. Being on the champion brand's ult doesn't bounce in the laning phase but late it means 1 less bounce and more damage on the carries. Her engage is hard to deal with and you'll most likely have to play it safe and hit poke from afar.
Zilean
Decent poke, peeling and engage and of course an annoying ultimate - try to out-poke him and all in pre 6 before his ult wastes your mana. You should out trade him on all ins but the cc and ult is a problem.
Zyra
Long distance poke - a matter of positioning and general landing of your w for poke to win lane. She wins the engages due to her more extensive cc kit (mainly her ult).
Ezreal
70% of his health with your lvl 3 combo.
Ashe
High poke and gives vision, allows you for all ins due to the vision and constant slows - allows you to rush morello instead of rylai's after liandry's due to her impairing movement anyhow.
Draven
High DPS, better for PEEL or hard engage supports.
Ezreal
Medium DPS with good mobility - better for tank supports and heavy cc supports due to being squishy.
Jhin
High burst and follow up - brand hits a full combo Jhin can follow up either with a root, slow or use of his ult. Very good with brand many quick 1 shot off of a jhin root or brand stun.
Jinx
High DPS and works better with Engage supports. But due to her slow and follow up are good for brand to get in range for a full combo.
Caitlyn
High poke. Follow up is very nice.
Kai'Sa
High burst allowing for a nice follow up - very quick kills off of a kai'sa ult for engage or a brand stun.
Lucian
High burst but has no cc to engage on - brand's lack of cc means that it's a very clunky lane. His only means of follow up would be his dash.
Miss Fortune
High burst and a slow - good for poking as well. Lot's of lane bullying in store.
Sivir
Tristana
Follow up is insane due to her rocket jump and her dps as well as burst both complement each other in the form of bombs.
Twitch
Weak early game but makes up for it late game - brand can pressure through the early game till twitch becomes relevant and they can make for quite the burst damage combo.
Vayne
Relatively weak early game made up for brand's early game pressure - her condemn helps in brand's lack of cc.
Xayah
Her root makes up for brand's lack of cc and her constant dps is nice for trades. A good root on a gank for example can lead for a victorious 3v2.
Yasuo
High mobility - can engage instead of brand - but is a melee champion so requires the all ins. Brand has good all in but lacks cc meaning they target yasuo pre 6 and you lose the 2v2.
Kog'Maw
Slow and high range - good for poking and long engages.

Kog'Maw
Slow and high range - good for poking and long engages.
Brand is a damage heavy AP support and you will despised by many as you burn them even after you die. What makes brand so strong is his all in potential on top of his poke in the laning phase allowing him to snowball very far ahead. This allows him to carry games as his late game is very strong due to his team fight potential with his ultimate and passive.
Brand is best played with ADCs with good follow up from a range such as Kog'maw, Jhin or Caitlyn.
The gameplan to carry is simple - win lane by pressing w.
Hit your full combo of E Q W. Sometimes press R to set them ablaze - stun the damage with your q and then deal even more damage with your w and passive.
You as brand should be looking to support your team kill - his objective taking is very poor due to his early game mana consumption and late game tower damage. He can take drakes and baron quite well due to his combo being damage heavy but he can't take towers - your best bet with Brand is to stick to your lane for the most part and keep good vision on the river where drake is. This is how you control the objective. You as brand should encourage your team to be as greedy as possible and convince your ADC to attack tower as much as possible without respect for the enemy jungler just because brand's damage is stupid and easy to pull off. You yourself can't take towers so let your team do that as you w, e the caster minions. Get your spell thief quest completed in 7 minutes due to your w's range being unavoidable if placed correctly and win the game due to unfair teamfight damage.
