WHY YES EARLY GAME GOD GREAT ROAMER GREAT DIVER MID|TOP|JGL FLEX |
"The mountain is not always high, it's not always a mountain" -Atreus Is an ordinary man, that through his perseverance climbed mount Targon to claim the power of the gods and became a Pantheon. |
WHY NOT BAD WHEN BEHIND POOR TEAMFIGHTING |
Stack up Mortal Will by attacking and casting spells. When ready, your next Comet Spear, Shield Vault or Aegis Assault becomes empowered.
|
Comet Spear is the main source of damage and waveclear, critically striking those below 20%.
Tap to thrust, dealing full damage to everyone and refunding half of the cooldown. Hold to throw, but fully damage only the first target and no cooldown is refunded. If empowered, comet spear will hurt some more (20-240). |
Shield Vault get's you close and personal, stunning your foe for a second.
If empowered, your next attack is a triple strike, which applies 3 on hit effects and grants 3 stacks of Mortal Will. |
For 1.5 seconds, deal damage in front of you, and negate all non-tower damage if the source comes from that direction, including Ahriβs returning Orb of Deception which does true damage and hits you from behind, and Karthu's Requiem despite being global.
However, if the source gets behind you, itβs going to hurt and you canβt just turn around, worse you move at full speed only forward, back or sideways slows you by 25% In the end, youβll gain speed and slam for massive damage, higher than non-eQ, so definitely donβt miss it. Recast to slam sooner for maximum burst. |
Go up to charge Mortal Will and then come crashing down like a meteorite 3 seconds later, dealing damage along the way.
|
does massive AoE damage and makes you invincible for almost 3 seconds. Perfect for teamfighting and skirmishing with multiple people.
Itβs great for duels as well, however not against champions that can easily get into your back, such as Irelia or Renekton, because most of the damage comes from Aegis Assault and they can easily avoid it. |
The spear relies on empowered Comet Spear instead so it makes more sense to cancel Aegis Assault early in this combo if needed.
|
Start a combo for short trades from 3 or 4 stacks of Mortal Will
|
If youβre fed or building pure lethality, assasinate a squishy target. This takes less than 3 seconds, but if you fail to oneshot, you wonβt have much steam left to fight.
|
Best combo for finishing low hp targets that are around 40 % or less.
|
is more important, than just blindly following the combos.
imagine a fight against Darius. He wants to stack his passive and then execute you with his ultimate. In this case, blocking it will be your best bet, so you would do the shield as usual but at 5 stacks youβd keep auto-attacking until youβd have to block his Noxian Guillotine. On the other hand, you would use Aegis Assault earlier if he would do so too. Simply if thereβs something you really want to block, replace E with auto attacks in the combos. |
Always keep in mind the Comet Spearβs execute . Delay the final Q in the combos if you can get your target below 20%. Donβt delay for longer than is the cooldown of the melee Q.
|
It can be tricky to clear waves efficiently because the Comet Spear hit box is so thin, try using attack champions only button to move into position, you have to try this for yourself to really feel the difference.
|
Warmup for action and charge up Mortal Will by exercising your thrusting skills. The mana cost is low so it shouldnβt matter.
|
Use Ignite asap if looking for a kill, to make it easier for them to reach execute threshold.
|
Itβs not that manly but if you need to emmm tactically retreat, use [[grand starfall for a way out. Taking damage during the channel wonβt stop you but CC will so be carefull.
|
To use or not to use Grand Starfall back to lane you might wonder. Iβd say if thereβs no other available play at the moment, ulting back to prevent losing more than a canon wave or enemy getting tower plates is completely fine. You can use the tempo from it to make a roam after anyways.
|
is another important aspect of your gameplan It means to leave your lane to put pressure elsewhere. Before visiting your neighbors, try to reduce the traveling cost whenever possible by pushing out your lane first. The faster you push ,the more time you have to go sightseeing.
The roaming equation? Ask yourself how much you can gain for what cost! Usually it's just better to fake the roam, by going into fog to hide on bush. This'll still put pressure on your opponents without you having to break a sweat. |
Always start with a Q, then usually W lvl 2 and E level 3,
Lvl 1 you have the edge over most melee champions. Slowpush the wave and poke with Comet Spearβs, preferably empowered ones whenever possible. You should be winning the race to LVL 2 so be ready to quickly level up Shield Vault and go all in. By level 3 there will be a huge canon wave crashing under enemy tower and you can look for a tower dive, or use this priority to roam. Against a ranged champion, you might have to wait till lvl 3 to start going ham. If theyβre really strong lvl 1, just look to safely farm and poke with Qs. You are most likely going to get pushed, so call your jungler and look for an opportunity to go ham. Most ranged champions should die to a shield combo with ignite from full health. |
After the laning phase, your objective is to gain priority in a side lane and then to outnumber enemies with Grand Starfall around the map. 5 on 5 team fights are not where you shine that much, so if possible avoid them, but if thatβs not an option, remember that using Aegis Assault properly is the biggest difference-maker.
Now I know it feels really manly, but always ulting into 5 people is not a great idea. If your team has a real tank, that can really engage, donβt feel bad about taking the fight slow as the longer it goes, the lower the healthbars go and thats when your Comet Spear can truly shine. |
