hi and welcome to my guide to darius.

you have to know that this build fits my play style as a very aggressive Darius. this means you will get kills following this guide. but you will also lose some time farming doing this.

I have done a quite alot of darius games top in the past few days. but there was this problem... i had no idea how to build him. so i started experimenting myself. not being able to find a good working build. so i started off building everything. from pure tank to pure ad. but those builds just didnt work out. but now i finaly got something that works pretty wel. atleast it works for me.

the runes i use are pretty standard. i use ad quints / marks flat armor seals and 5 flat magic resistance runes and 4 magic resistance per levels.

i use the flat ad as a nice bonus on your q. since that thing gets insane damage from those runes at early levels, also you're being able to last hit allot easier. and of corse your ulti scales with bonus attack damage. so overall the best damage increase. you can also use armor penetration, but i find these working not so good since you get allot of armor penetration on your e ability already

flat armor seals are good for turret diving etc. pretty standard.

my mr runes are a little diffident since i use a mix of flat magic resistance and magic resistance per level. i do this because the flat mr runes where nerved and the mr per level runes werent touched at all. and a quick calculation states that you're already getting more effect out of your mr per level runes at level 9 and that's the point where you start going out of lane vs the more magic type of enemy's.

i use 22/8/0 mastery's
i prefer these mastery's above 9/21/0 mastery's (stil a very good option and considereble if you want alot more durebilety)

if you play a 22/8/0 mastery build you get a couple of things that are very good for darius. first you get a nice ad per level out of deadliness. you get 6 armor pen , overall 1.5% increased damage, and this insane 6% damage increase when someone is lower than 40% hp. this means that you will get 6% extra damage on every ultimate you do. and you will be able to kill them more quickly. at level 6 you will have 400 damage in stead of 380 on your ultimate because of this 6%. this means that you are certain you will kill your enemy if he has 4 bars of hp left.

at early game you start off with boots of speed and 3 health pots. to get in range for q's and auto attacks more quickly. then when you go back the first time, you wanna get upgraded boots or some dorans blades. the boots choise depend on the enemy. if you have a magic enemy like rumble top. you get mercury treads. if you have a ad champion like riven/ad nidalee, get those ninja tabis. after that you want to buy 2 dorans blades. these give very good damage and a nice ammount of health. build a wriggles after or a hexdrinker if the enemy team has alot of magic damage. next thing you wanna do is build a phage for the slow and a zeal for the movementspeed. build this into a trinity force. (be sure not to sell your dorans blades in the proces since mana or abiletypower isn't worth that lost dorans blade.) so after you got that. you can start building havy damage items. like infinity edge. then you want to build some more defensive item like warmogs, a frozen maulet is also a good option. but you already have a slow on your w and on your trinety force... so i prefer a warmogs.

as last item there are a few choices:
atma's impaler
maw of malmorteus

and you should sell your wriggles if you have a bloodthirster since you wont need that much lifesteal, and a atma's impaler is better than a wriggles at that point.

early kills!

at early game you start off with boots of speed and 3 health pots. you do this so you can hit your q more easy on the enemy without having to much trouble with sustaining. also you wanna get those auto attacks on your enemy to make sure your passive stacks. try to get your enemy as low as possible as fast as possible, (you can lose some hp in this process so be sure to chuck those hp pots) then when you're enemy is around 300 hp. and you reach level 2. pick up that apprehend. and pull him towards you. auto attack him wait with the q untill he is running out of range so you get that 50% more damage off. than use the ignite. (if your enemy flashes flash after him. so you can do 1 or 2 more auto attacks.) that should be enough to kill the enemy.)

this is what happens most of the games. so i am sure you can do this aswell :D
