Introduction
Here I will explain to you my rune choices and what they will help you to do.
Marks: Greater Mark of Strength x9
Why did I pick these? They are good for getting early kills and this will be essential for the expensive item choices. They also help you with last-hitting minions at top lane, which is an essential part of playing in a solo lane.
Seal: Greater Seal of Resilience
These were chosen in order to survive against those nasty early ganks from an enemies jungler and generally just to survive. They are a must have and I take them whenever I play solo top.
Glyph: Greater Glyph of Shielding
These were yet again chosen in order to survive. Although early game they are pretty much useless, in late game, well, that's a completely different story entirely. These are, yet again, pretty much essential for a solo top champ.
Quints: Greater Quintessence of Strength
Yet again, look at Marks: Greater Mark of Strength x9 For more information.

Now, we come onto the main part of this guide; the build.
Doran's Blade: I personally like to take this to start off with, well, because it gives me that extra bit of everything need for a solo top; The AD, the health and the lifesteal to boot, this coupled with the extra 3% from Vampirism in your masteries, gives you a nice 6% which gives you that extra bit of sustain you need to farm effectively.
After you come back, you should have a kill or two, and be around level 6. At this you should buy your Boots of speed. These will help you get to lane and chase down your enemies faster. If you are doing bad, still buy them, but don't be afraid of stacking those Doran's.
3x Tiamat: I know, I hear you scream "WTF? WHAT IS THIS?!", but trust me. First of all, it gives you an extra 150 AD, this coupled with the health regen and the mana regen, will make you an extremely effective farmer, as you will regen without needing to go back to base. These are just some of the perks, now comes the main reason of buying them. That splash damage is insane. I have gotten triples just with a simple Decimate once they are on the blade area. The Decimate will be your main source of damage, making the "Spin to win" look like a child on a merry-go-round. I am not joking, it is actually amazing how much damage he does.
The Crippling Stike also does a ton of damage, making you an absolute monster when it comes to the team fights. You can then use the Noxian Guillotine to finish them off.
Infinity Edge: Those splash crits are just amazing, that coupled with the 80 extra AD will make you a force to be reckoned with. The 25% crit chance is enough to cause many champs a LOT of problems.
The Bloodthirster: Well, why not? You can get up to 100 AD and 20% Lifeteal, and that, well, it speaks for itself, doesn't it? You can kind of guess why I chose this.
Boots of Swiftness: Why? Well, you don't want anyone to get away, that's why! They also help you to get back to lane, but you have Teleport just in case you stray to far.

Your Decimate will be your main source of damage, as its AOE is lethal when coupled with the 3x Tiamats, will bring opponents down below half health with no problem, and making them extremely vulnerable to a Crippling Strike into a Noxian Guillontine combo, more or less getting you a very clean kill, with you escaping with basically no damage taken.
You must remember that you will be more squishy than your average Darius, as you have hardly any sustain, so try to land your abilities in quick succession and your Decimate on the blade side, giving you an extra 50% damage to annihalate your opponent.
