Even though she is an easy matchup, always bait out her dark binding and then go in on her, because if she binds you, a full combo of her at level 6 or above can devastate you. During the lategame you can easily burst her down.
Veigar
Up until the first back, veigar has a decent amount of kill pressure on you so do not get cocky early on. Once you get a brutalizer just before mid game, you will have no trouble taking him down. In the lategame do not worry about his high AP as you can kill him before he even bursts you if you're fast enough.
Vel'Koz
Before level 6, try dodge his skillshots and farm. If he uses and misses his Q while he is in close range E->AA-Q and then use W as he retaliates damage on to you or runs away. After level 6 always bait out his E since his ultimate can devastate you and proceed to annihilate him.
Ziggs
Early on don't bother going on him since his laning against you early on is just too good. Try farm, even under turret if needed, while attempting to dodge his skillshots. After level 6, Ziggs is a dead squirrel.
Katarina
Before the removal of your silence, you countered her to death but now, the matchup is harder. At level 1, try farm and stay away from her bouncing blades and if she uses them to farm and misses you, go up to her and use w. At lvl 2, Wait untill she has used her bouncing blades and E->AA->W->AA and you will do a good trade. Even if she outtrades you, do not worry since you have an immense amount of sustain through the flask and pots. At level 6, go on her and if she ults you use your ult and the movement speed it provides to get away as fast as possible.
Zed
Try to dodge those shurikens, and when you see him go to get a creep that is close to you use your W and follow up with an AutoAttack and Q. Whenever he uses a shadow in lane to try harass you go all in on him and chunk him down. Level 6 and after, use your ultimate whenever he uses his in order to negate most of the damage. Your ultimate's cooldown is lower.
Akali
Early on, try go in on her when her Q is on cooldown and try deny her as much as possible without overextending. Your goal is to reach level 6 and immediately all in her when she has only 1 stack of her ultimate or when she is still level 5. Due to her enormous mid game power spike, you should try safely farm and punish her if she dives you at the wrong time. Lategame you should have an upgraded vision trinket for teamfights and when fighting her. Your assassination potential on the AD carry is a lot higher than hers in the late game.
LeBlanc
Now that the silence is removed, she has quite an edge over you in the early game. Farm safely and if she overextends, try get some ganks from your jungler.(Unless he is a feral Yi)You outscale leblanc hard in to the lategame, just don't die to her early on because she is quite a pain when ahead.
Cassiopeia
Cassiopeia will try poke you down during the early levels so try avoid the poisons and farm. At level 6, wait till she has used an ability and go all in on her.( Also, when you go all in on her, while you are using the ultimate walk through her and try make her miss her ultimate/ Turn your back to her in between parts of your combo, so her ultimate only slows you instead of stunning you)If she is ahead in the late game, try delete her before a teamfight or objective battle happens, or simply go on to the AD carry and delete them instead.
Karthus
From level 4 and after you are a lot stronger than him . In lane though, make sure he uses at least one ability before going in on him and always warn your teammates about him reaching level 6, so they play safer because you don't want him racking up kills by pressing his R button.
Syndra
With hard CC from her E and tons of burst from her whole combo with her ultimate, she can beat you if you do not play the matchup correctly. In the early levels, she is stronger than you by far. Try farming and avoiding her dark spheres. If you ever see her waste her E, scatter the weak go in on her since she can't stop you easily. At level 6 bait out her E and you're fine to kill that dark sovereign.
Annie
Try go aggressive from level 2 until level 5. Whenever her stun is down, from level 2 use E->AutoAttack->W->Autoattack on her. Unless 2-0 or more, do not go in on her from level 6 to around level 12, where annie truly shines against you.Just sit back and farm. Even if her lategame is strong, you outscale her hard and can easily beat her later on in the game if her stun is down.
Kayle
PLE***EEEE NOOO!! If you ever happen to go against a kayle, try farm under tower. She is hardest counter to talon because she can shield your burst on any target on her team if that Kayle player is good plus before level 6 you can't go in on her since she outtrades you then too. Ask jungler for gank/ try roam and ward behind you so if she follows you can ambush her with someone from your team.
Fiddlesticks
Before the silence removal, he was a medium difficulty matchup. Now, he can just drain all of your burst and you are useless against him. Try farm with extreme caution not to get withered down by his decent poke and astounding sustain. In teamfights however, despite his devastating presense, it is harder for him to stop you from deleting the AD carry if you have items.
Yasuo
He is quite powerful but you have the edge against him. Always make sure his passive is down since it can negate a decent chunk of damage if you go in on him while it is up.
Hi, The account I play on is called mikemike781, currently located in Gold V. I am not Gold V because of my talon skills or knowledge, I am there because of my general skill such as CS, decision making and all of that stuff.
I have been playing since season 2, but only recently started playing Talon and loved him.
What I will be going through in this guide.
What I will be going through in this guide.
For your and my comfort, I will make this guide pretty straight forward.
Most people have the knowledge of farming, warding and most other parts of playing this game are learned by watching pro streams or self evaluation during and after games.
In this guide I will simply be going through the matchups, because believe it or not, knowing how to face matchups defins the outcome of a game with a champion. I will be showing you how to face matchups I have been through and tell you matchups you should avoid.
Runes
Runes
Here are the runes I use:
.9 greater marks of attack damage
.3 greater quintessences of attack damage
.9 greater seals of armor
.9 greater glyphs of magic resist
This rune page set-up will give you good amounts of defensive stats and attack damage in order for you to get an advantage in the game.
What is Talon's burst damage skill combination?
What is Talon's burst damage skill combination?
The one I use is E -> AutoAttack -> Q -> R -> R -> W
This combo is more than enough to burst a carry down in mid and late game.
Spells
Spells
The Best spells and the only ones I recommend for mid lane Talon areFlash and Ignite :).
End of the guide.
End of the guide.
This is my first ever guide for anything so if you want me to add things tell me in the comment sections below. Also, I did not invest stuff in this guide. I just got a mixture of different talon play-styles and merged them in to the one I use and love.
