Possible to handle only if you shut him down early. Really important to spellshield his silence or knockup. He has great sustain way better than yours. Try to kill him early or play passive and lvl6 go straight for a gank on mid or bot.
Darius
His q is retarded. Only way to win this if darius is worse than you. Prefer to take a melee range Q from him and always fight if you have landed your Q and have available your passive and fear. After 6 you are propably dead, so straight on your way to gank other lanes and feed on them.
Dr. Mundo
Cant kill you and you cant (propably) kill him. He will go full tank so dont bother solo killing him. Farm till lvl6 and then ult mid or bot for some kills or flashes.
Fiora
Pretty high damage and a parry. But still if you fight in your Q you also have flat AD boost and can turn the fight in your favor with your fear (Fiora has no CC). Try to absord one of her Q to get the double AS boost and prevent some serious damage (especially if she maxes out Q). IMO skill matchup.
Fizz
Can kill him early if you land Q, have passive and land the fear.
Garen
Something like Mundo with the difference Garen can be annoyning. Still you have your W for his silence. Try to farm till lvl6 and gank mid or bot.
Gnar
Don't fight him in big form. He can easilly break your E range with his leap. Also he can kite you with his Q. Be carefull in this matchup and ask for some ganks. If he build tanky early search for some ganks on other lanes.
Gragas
He should be banned. Gosh!!!
Hecarim
Ok early but after some items Hece becomes a monster. Let him push and ask for ganks. If you play it perfectly you can also win a 1v1 vs him early game.
Irelia
Only way to spellshield her stun. If not then you are propably f****d. Like Hecarim after some items she becomes monster. So ask for ganks or if you feel confident try to kill her early.
Jarvan IV
High damages. If you avoid his knock up you are ok. Try not to take many of his Q cause they hurt. If he goes full AD then is the survire of the finest, If he goes tanky dont bother killing him and go roam with your ult and TP back.
Jax
He has his E but you have your W. He can dodge your AA but you can dodge his stun. He is pretty weak early so dont be afraid to fight him (just be sure you fight in your Q).
Lee Sin
Avoid his Q early and you are ok. If he maxes E first try to avoid E. He has damage but so do you.
Lulu
Really annoying and with decent damage (as soon you dont have MR). Survire farm and try to gank...a lot.
Malphite
No way to kill him. no (as far as I know) way he kills you. Same as all tanks, farm till 6 and gank for kills.
Maokai
Same as above. Be carefull for ganks cause there is escape from his W.
Mordekaiser
Great poke but no mobility. Ask help from jungle.
Nasus
He will build Frozen Heart ASAP and also he will play like a chicken. Try to deny him minions and harrass him as he tries to farm. As soon as you have all your spells up and land a Q you win the trade early. Try not to stay and fight in his E. If you dont kill him early go fed on other lanes.

Renekton
Bully of top lane. Stun, good heal and good damage. Try to survive and farm. Lvl6 gank. Wait for late game. Rene is a kite, when you are an assassin who can one-shot their carries.
Rengar
They took him from you, so they must pay. I assume you know what a Rengar is capable of and how to play against him (away from bushes and 5-ferocity fights).
Riven
Exhaust is really good. W her stun or knockup and you can out-trade her izi. Try to not wait for her lvl3. Your early damage is way higher than hers. (Yes i have played this matchup a lot and still no Riven so good to solo kill me early. Yeah there were Rivens that knew what to do and survived early game and dominated mid-late game). At lvl6 you can gank other lanes way better thatn her.
Rumble
If he farms he becomes enormous. Your early damage is way higher than his. Try to trade him. Care for him yellow bar. In most of the cases if Rumble doesnt play passive you can kill him early lvls.
Ryze
Broken atm. Nothing more.
Shen
One more tank. He cant kill you solo. He will go for ganks. You can always W his taunt and escape. Don't bother killing him either. Go for ganks and be ready for his ult as you do this.
Shyvana
After the W buff I havent played this matchup yet. She was hard to handle before especially with TP/smite summoners, so I believe that now she is even more pain in the @$$. She builds tanky? Ult mid.
Singed
Who plays Singed nowadays? If you encounter him don't bother killing him.
Sion
One of the tanks that can actually kill you. Try to avoid fighting him. Lategame he will be frontline while you kill the carries.
Swain
Kill him early or leave to kill someone else after 6. Without ignite is impossible unless you managed to kill him pre-6. Good poke with his E.

Strong lane, and he will build tanky. Also his Q gives him AD so don't fight unless youy are sure you can handle him. Survive till 6, wait for ganks and gank mid with your ult.
Tryndamere
Exhaust op in this matchup. Also IMO a lucky-based matchup. If he goes all in and crits 2-3 hits you are done. Otherwise you kill him even lvl1.
Vladimir
Try to pressure him early levels. His Q has pretty big CD. He has low damage and he is item-orriented. Try to kill him before lvl4 if possible.
Volibear
No ignite=no kill on him. His W hurts a lot as his HP drops so beware. Another tank, so focus on survive and kill mid or bot with your ult.
Yasuo
Low base stats and need items to scale. Pop his shield with your Q and try for an early kill.
Yorick
Haven't played this matchup. I can imagine that he is annoying and has the potential to kill you.
Hi world. I am Trapezomàntilos, a Platinum elo player in EUW, who mains Rengar. I also like Nocturne and recently, after many games and tries, I found out that he can one-shot people, same as good as Rengo. I like playing him top (yeah anti-meta, not tank, "take tank top plz", "Nocturne top?????" and stuff) and proceed with the one-shot build.
SO: 1) This is a full damage build. If you want to play Nocturne more tanky and $h1t, you are on the wrong guide.
2) This build is for normal and ranked solo queue games (I assure you, people even till high Platinum don't know how to play vs this Nocturne + Solo queue = Try to CARRY alone)
3) I won't mention defensive items, cause i don't want to.
4) I know the standar Nocturne builds, as I know he is not a top-tier top laner.
5) This is MY build and how I like to play Nocturne. Nobody force you to do the same.

Get your Flask and pots, go to lane and farm. You need your tiamat and lvl6 to start your assassination efforts. Be aggressive only if you are sure you got this. If you fall behind, the game will be a nightmare.
Mid Game

After lvl6 everytime you have ult and the circumstances allow it, gank mid or even bot. It's better to walk all the way bot, ult, possibly grab a dragon and then TP back top, where you can farm till your ult comes out of CD and you are available to ult/gank again.

Squishes.Kill them. If you can pick someone squishy enough alone he is dead meat. ADC will burst both summoners and yet can die to you. Deep vision is the key to pick them alone. For example a deep ward outside their base around their red buff, will give you the chance to pick and kill enemy ADC.

Your target is the carries. APC will have zhonyans lategame so prioritize the ADCs. If you are not behind and you excecute the combo perfectlly they will die in an instance. Avoid initiating cause you are not tank and if you jump alone, they will turn on you at once and you will die instantly. Wait for the team to engage and assassinate the carries.

Get vision on your target > Pop Youmuu's > Ult > Q while you land on them > E immidiately > AA with passive > Hydra > AA again > If they didnt die they are too tanky > hunt them down to finish them off.
Do you main Rengar and they banned/picked him? No problem!
