Chapter 1

Introduction

Hey guys,

This will be a living build, so I will be updating it periodically. The masteries are new so I am not 100% confident that what I have shown is the perfect build; I am open to suggestions. This is not a complete guide in that it assumes you have experience in playing the game and the different types of characters. If you want more information on getting started playing the game there is plenty of information at the League of Legends website.

Rammus is IMBA for Dominion, there is a reason he is always banned in the draft games. This build will get you wins; if you do not like it, there are plenty of other builds on mobafire and I'm confident you can find one to suit your fancy. That being said feel free to leave feedback, I will be testing anything (non ridiculous) that is suggested.

Masteries

The masteris are subject to change, as I stated in the introduction. I choose 1 point in offense for improved ghost, 8 points in utility for reduced time spent dead, and more move speed, and 21 points in defense. I disregard anything concerning minions as your w will kill them for you. Siege Commander is worthless in dominion as you will not be attacking turrets, CDR is decent but I prefer more movement speed from Initiator. With Initiator, Swiftness, Imp Ghost, and 5 speed boots, your powerball will make you the first one to the top tower.

Runes

Runes are straightforward: armor quints, marks, and seals for your passive, magic resist per level glyphs. This will allow you to take enough damage throughout the game to be agressive, and defend towers extremely well with garrison.

Skill Sequence

Max Defensive Ball Curl first, making you very tanky, followed by Puncturing Taunt to help defend towers and save team mates, and lastly Powerball. (being only mildly beneficial aside from the movemend speed) As with every champion, rank up your ultimate every chance you get.

Gameplay

Beginning

Start with boots of mobility and cloth armor. Never go bottom. Once the game starts use your ghost but not your powerball, wait until you are free of the base and crossing the lane to use powerball. The reason for this is no only to avoid being slowed by unit collision at the start, but also to allow your ghost AND powerball to be multiplied through the map speed bonus you should be running through. Go straight for the top tower and begin capturing it, however, do not engage the enemy team by yourself if they come to stop you. (prevent them from capturing the tower by clicking on it when they are trying to capture it to cancel their channel if you can) You won't gain anything by fighting 1v2 or 1v3 this early in the game, and can easily cost your team the tower. Once your team catches up with you, be aggressive. Focus the enemy carries and squishies. Keep in mind that you don't need to save powerball to chase, it has a short CD and can be used for damage output. (it does AoE damage so it is decent for the early team fight) Upon reaching level 4 immediately put one point into taunt and try to snag a low squishy with the standard W-E combo.

Mid game

Tank damage for your team, use defensive ball curl and taunt on, focusing the enemy carries and low HP characters first. When combined with your ultimate and thornmail this will completely annihilate melee champions like Master Yi. Don't talk ****, don't pick fights, just play smart. It is generally better to defend 3 towers than to be agressive and attack towers they are defending, but if you are facing baddies by all means destroy them.

Late game

By this time you should have some good gear. Be merciless. Try to find a high dps team member of yours to go around with you killing people. Track down low HP enemies, defensive ball curl, taunt, tremors. You should be able to take on most physical damage carries by yourself, turrets to little damage to you with such high armor that you can usually even kill them directly under it.

Summary

Hope you enjoy this quick dominion guide. I will be adding to it as often as I can, I know it's not very comprehensive yet. Most people I play with look for mostly item builds and mastery/rune guides and don't read too terribly much into gameplay guides so this is aimed at that style of player. GL HF!
