Champion Build Guide

Draven Build | Challenger

By Kurtdenstore21
One of the most important things in the game is farming. It's an easy and safe way to get items and carry the game. You can see more about wave management in the bottom of the guide.^^

Other things that might help you climb:
Focus on your own mistakes not your teams mistakes
Don't use the chat, it will only distract you
If you die a lot then buy more pink wards to prevent ganks and look at the minimap more often to see if you can find the enemy jungler. If you see the enemy jungler topside, you can play aggressive without the risk of getting ganked.
Introdoction Back to Top

Hello guys this is my Draven guide. I have been playing since season 2 and have been Challenger the last 4 seasons. I got 2 accounts in Challenger at the moment and I'm trying to get my 3. smurf to Challenger. Right now I focus only on toplane where I play Tryndamere most of the time. You can join my stream if you want, would love that^^ . Draven is played a lot in high elo so you should come watch my stream and maybe you are lucky to catch me against a Challenger Draven - Draven is pretty strong atm so you should try him^^

There are other builds/runes to Draven that works so you need to figure out what works best for you. You could use my build every game but I would recommend you to form your own builds that works with ur playstyle.

This is my Challenger accounts

This is my greatest winstreak of all time in ranked

This is 2 of my smurfs
Summoner Spells Back to Top

FLASH: Draven should have flash every game, because I believe that is his best summoner spell, it helps secure kills and survive ganks.
HEAL: Heal gives you the ability to bait people or to survive ganks. You could also pick Barrier if your support got Heal.
BARRIER: Barrier is a great spell that can help you survive or bait the enemies. But you should only pick it if you support got Heal.
Starting Items Back to Top
Doran's Blade: This is the aggressive start for Draven and also the most common item to start with. It depends on your playstyle though if you want to play aggressive go Doran's Blade and if you want to play defensive go Doran's Shield (most Draven players pick Doran's Blade). I would recommend you to go Doran's Blade. But figure out what works best for you and go win some games^^
Doran's Shield: Doran's Shield is the defensive start, I would recommend you to build Doran's Blade though. Some people like to build Doran's Shield to have more sustain.
Core Items Back to Top

Core Items
The Bloodthirster: It gives you 80 Attack Damage which is perfect for Draven. The item also have two UNIQUE Passives that works great on Draven.

UNIQUE Passive: Your life steal overheals you, granting a bloody shield that absorbs up to 50 - 350 damage (based on champion level). This shield decays when out of combat for 25 seconds.

UNIQUE Passive: +20% Lifesteal.
Berserker's Greaves: Berserker's Greaves are great on Draven because it gives him 35% Attack Speed. The item also comes with a UNIQUE Passive: Enhanced Movement: +45 Movement Speed. Because of the Magical Footwear he gets 10 bonus movement speed.
Infinity Edge: Infinity Edge is a great item on Draven because it gives him some awesome stats. It gives him 80 Attack Damage and 25% Critical Strike Chance. This is a huge powerspike for Draven. The item also comes with an UNIQUE Passive: that increases the damage of critical strikes by 25%. Good luck enemies that's all I got to say^^
Rapid Firecannon: Rapid Firecannon is the next item for draven, it gives him 30% Attack Speed, 25% Critical Strike Chance and 5% Movement Speed. It also come with a Passive and an UNIQUE Passive.

Passive: Energize: Moving and attacking build stacks, up to 100. When fully stacked, your next basic attack expends the charges and becomes energized.

UNIQUE Passive: Firecannon: Gain Energized attacks 25% faster. Your energized attacks gain 35% bonus range and deal 60-140 magic damage (at levels 1-18) on-hit. Energized attacks work on structures. This helps Draven attack from far away.
Guardian Angel: Guardian Angel is your next item it gives you 40 Armor and 40 Attack damage, great stats for Draven to keep him safe and deal some extra damage. It also comes with an awesome UNIQUE passive that let you restore to 50% of base health after taking lethal damage. The item only cost 2800 totally worth. It's really good in teamfights where you are might be focused, so even if you die you are able to get back up and help the team.
Lord Dominik's Regards: The last item you should get is Dominik's Regards this item gives you 45 Attack Damage. That's pretty good alone. However we get this item for it's UNIQUE Passive. Because in lategame there might be some enemies that got armor and the UNIQUE Passive helps you deal with these targets.

UNIQUE Passive: Last Whisper: +35% total armor penetration.
Abilities Back to Top
League of Draven (Passive):
When Draven catches a Spinning Axe, or kills a minion or monster, he gains one stack of Adoration. If he kills 6 minions in a row without dropping a Spinning Axe, Draven gains 2 additional stacks of Adoration. When Draven kills an enemy champion, he consumes all of his Adoration stacks and gains 25 gold, plus 2 gold per stack consumed. Draven loses 75% of his Adoration stacks upon death.

Spinning Axe (Q):Draven's next attack will deal an extra 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 (+ 65 / 75 / 85 / 95 / 105% bonus attack damage) as bonus damage. This axe will ricochet off the target high up into the air. If Draven catches it, he automatically readies another Spinning Axe. Draven can have two Spinning Axes at once.

Blood Rush (W):Draven gains 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60% increased Movement Speed for 1.5 seconds and 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% Attack Speed for 3 seconds. The Movement Speed bonus decreases rapidly over its duration. Catching a Spinning Axe will refresh the cooldown of Blood Rush.

Stand Aside (E):
Draven throws his axes and deals 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 / 215 (+0.5 per bonus attack damage) physical damage by throwing his axes. Enemies hit are knocked aside and slowed by 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% for 2 seconds.

Whirling Death (R):
Draven hurls two massive axes dealing 175 / 275 / 375 (+1.1 per bonus attack damage) physical damage to each unit struck. Deals 8% less damage per unit hit, down to a minimum of 40%. This resets when Whirling Death changes direction. Whirling Death slowly reverses direction and returns to Draven after striking an enemy champion, or upon reactivation, or upon reaching the boundaries of the map.

Runes Back to Top
  • Precision
  • Precision: I take Precision to increase Damage and Healing.
  • Press the Attack
  • Press the Attack: PASSIVE: Basic attacks against enemy champions apply stacks for 4 seconds. Attacking a new target removes all stacks from the previous target. The third stack consumes them all to deal 40 − 180 (based on level) bonus Adaptive damage and makes them Exposed for 6 seconds, causing them to take 8% − 12% (based on level) increased damage from all subsequent sources (except from true damage).
ADAPTIVE DAMAGE: Deals either physical or magic damage depending on your bonus statistics, defaulting to physical damage.
    Cooldown 6 seconds
  • Triumph
  • Triumph: PASSIVE: Champion takedowns, after a 1-second delay, restore 12% of your missing health and grant an additional Gold 20. This is the difference between living or dying in many cases so great rune!
  • Legend: Alacrity
  • Legend: Alacrity: PASSIVE: Gain 3% (+ 1.5% per Legend stack) bonus attack speed, up to 18% with 10 stacks. This helps Draven deal more damage.
  • Coup de Grace
  • Coup de Grace: PASSIVE: Deal 8% increased damage to champions below 40% maximum health.
  • Inspiration
  • Inspiration: You pick Inspiration to get tier 1 boots for free and they are better than the regular boots. You also get it because of the sustain you get early from Biscuits, this makes you stay in lane longer.

  • Magical Footwear
  • Magical Footwear: PASSIVE: At 12 minutes (-45 seconds per Takedown), you gain Slightly Magical Boots for free. Slightly Magical Boots are identical and can be upgraded as if they were Boots of Speed. If the inventory is full while receiving the boots, they will appear as soon as a place in the inventory is freed.
Additionally, your boots gain PASSIVE: 10 bonus movement speed. You can't buy any other boots before getting Slightly Magical Boots though.
  • Biscuit Delivery
  • Biscuit Delivery: This rune is really good for sustain early game. You get Total Biscuit of Everlasting Will at 2:00, 4:00 and 6:00. Biscuits restore 10% of your missing health and mana over 5 seconds. Consuming any Biscuit increases your mana cap by 50 mana permanently.
Minion Control Back to Top
I would recommend you to study this video because wave management/Minion Control is one of the most important skills in the game. If you master this you will climb!

Draven Lore Back to Top
'' 'The best' is wherever I decide to set the bar each day.''

~ Draven
In Noxus, warriors known as reckoners face one another in arenas where blood is spilled and strength tested—but none has ever been as celebrated as Draven. A former soldier, he found that the crowds uniquely appreciated his flair for the dramatic, not to mention the spray of blood from each of his spinning axes. Addicted to the spectacle of his own brash perfection, Draven has sworn to defeat whomever he must to ensure that his name is chanted throughout the empire forever more.
