About this Guide

If you're here I think that you want to play Morgana support or that you're simply lost but it doesn't matter. I decided to write this guide because I wanted to share my experience with Morgana. I didn't see that much guide about her as a support but she is here for you today.

Pros / Cons

Pros

+ Shield anti-Crowd Control
+ 3sec Root
+ Good sustain
+ Ultimate powerful

Morgana have a good pool of Crowd Control, that's why we can play her as a support. Her Black Shield is really strong against gank or whatever.

Cons

- High cooldown
- Spell that use a lot of mana
- No heal without items
- Can't really protect her ad carry

If you miss your spells, you become very vunerable so be careful.
You don't have any heal so your ad carry must know how to play but it's obvious.
Black Shield is a good spell but that's all, you can't protect your ad carry only with it.

Masteries

First with the offense part you'll have some ap, Expose Weakness will help your ad carry deal more damages.

Then we have the defense part which will give you more tankiness.

Finaly we have the utility part that buff your gold income and sustain with potions.

Runes

Greater Quintessence of Health: You gain 114 health at level 1(add masteries), very useful.
Greater Mark of Magic Penetration: You're a semi-ap support so you need Magic Penetration.
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist: If you don't want to be one shot by the ap carry in late. Also help when the enemy got support who deal some damage in lane.
Greater Seal of Armor: You will take less damage from the ad carry when they focus you in lane.

Summoner Spells

: I don't think that i need to give an explanation here;
Flash -> Soul Shackles | Flash -> Dark Binding ...

: Reduce the heal of the opponent, use it when you engage in lane or just to kill someone if you can.

: Powerful against champions like Jax, it help you protect your ad carry but in lane is less effective

Ability Explanation

Soul Siphon: Spellvamp that boost your sustain.
Dark Binding (Q): Root that last 3 sec, really op and nice damage.
Tormented Soil (W): Use it with Soul Siphon to regenerate your life but it have a high cost of mana.
Black Shield (E): A shield that protect against all crowd control and some magic damage.
Soul Shackles (R): Powerful ultimate, it can stun 5 person, else in general they use their gap closer or flash to escape.

Ability Sequence Order

Dark Binding because the root last 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3 sec and deal nice damage.
Black Shield second because it reduce the cooldown and up the shield's life.
/!\Your spell order is Root->Shield->Root->Shield... when you are against hard magic damage like Zyra or Annie/!\

Items

Item Sequence

Ward, support must ward. You don't need to upgrade it soon but you must buy Sightstone fast.

Useful when you chase, you run away (coward !). It permit you to ward faster so you will lose less experience.

Use your ultimate and become a golden Morgana.It give you armor, ability power and you can use your ultimate without dying.

It's a cleanse & heal for someone in your team. Most of the time you Black Shield your ad carry, then heal someone who is stun or low

Talisman of Ascension

40% move speed for your team, it can help when you engage, run away...

It give you some damage and used with Tormented Soil the Liandry's passive will apply at the moment when someone enter in the zone.
