Introduction

Well, Riven has been one of those champions that has been insanely over used when she was a beast in lane. But after her nerf against her passive and ultimate. After that, there is 1/50 chance i see a Riven in a game, and most of those Riven are BAD. They do not know how to munipulate her skills what so ever. This guide should help those that struggle with Riven but love the fact that she is just like a Lee Sin 2.0 jumping arround the battle field in team fights with a deadly ult when use on the whole team.

Runes

Since Riven's passive now gives a flat percent plus a bonus amount of Attack Damage. I figure that pure attack damage with no armor penetration would be the best choice for riven with some durability. The Seals are for laning against an Ad champ with high early game power. (Jayce, Fiora, Darius, etc.)
The Glyphs are mainly for the late game status, usually, you would be laning against an AD champ. But sometime you might end up laning with an AP champ that can be extremely annoying. (Elise, Jax, Teemo, Nidalee, Rumble, Singed, etc.) In that case, you just gotta bite your nails and build a TON of MR and ask for a jungler gank or even camp.

Masteries

These Masteries are mainly for Durability with a tad of damage output, this is a standard AD bruiser build. With these masteries, I can free build damage early game before building a Warmogs and Transition to team battles.

Items

The items are pretty important for Riven. These items gives me the best chance to activate my passive correctly while still having durability and mobility. Obviously, I chose BOTRK because of it's OP active that can just be a very good bait. The bloodthirster is to give me maximum damage output from my passive and the armor pen is for the loop hole from my runes and masteries.

Skill Sequence

These skills are mainly for damage output and high mobility with durability. Alot of people max out your Ki Burst (W) for lane. But personally, I don't think the spell is that neccesary for lane unless your getting ganked. Which is not going to happen because of your high mobility with your Broken Wings (Q) and your Valor (E). The Ki Burst (W) can however be VERY effective in team fights. Which dosen't come untill about lvl 14,15 ish. I take my ultimate whenever I can because it raises my damage output greatly and a power active nuke to pentakill instantly.

Spells

These spell are for finishing off enemies early and also giving me even more mobility. However, if your willing to take the risk and the money to buy some extra wards. Feel free to take Teleport instead of Flash to help other lanes.

Creeping / Jungling

Try to harass your opponent AMAP and use your passive to easily last hit. When pushed to their turret. Walk around and try to scare your opponent by spamming Broken Wings (Q) randomly at air and spam Laugh.

Unique Skills

As always, if your Riven you have one of the best lvl Engages. Especially when you have 4 health potions and an Elixir of Fortitude. Easily you can burn the enemies Flash by just simply pressing Q, Auto, Q, Auto, Q, Auto. This type of damage early game is unmatched. However if your going against someone who also has a godlike lvl 1 (Lee Sin, Darius, Jayce, Elise, Tryndamere) Then you might as well just give it up. In team fights, I've seen alot of Rivens use all their skills and only left with their ult. Then they used the ult, noticing that all the other skills are on cooldown and wastes 5 second of the ultimate time. When you think your team is going in for a fight, imediately pop your ultimate, and start hopping around the field with your AOE moves and finally finish them off with the active of your ultimate.
