Runes
Runes have changed in S9
For Xin what you need is movement speed.
The runes are
Sorcery Tree
Phase Rush - to catch up and escape
Nullifying orb- vs aps for extra shield, if not you take nimbus cloak
Celerity - Run Fast
Waterwalking- Run Fast in River
Domination tree
Sudden impact - for lethality damage
Relentless hunter - for more movement speed.
The 2nd variaton is
Hail of blades - faster knockup
Sudden impact - For dmg
Eyeball collection - free dmg
Relentless hunter - movement speed
COMBO
E > Q > Auto Atk > W > Auto Atk> Auto Atk
Use R to block anything you want.
Recently the combo has varied slightly you press
E > Q > Auto > Auto > Auto > W
This is due to phase rush making you very fast and you can end your combos damag with W.
Build
Black Cleaver(updated)- It makes Xin Zhao tanky and do lots of damage due to its shred and xins w synergy
Trinity Force - Instead of black cleaver now, trinity force has been offering more damage and movement speed. Movement speed is crucial for Xin Zhao because he needs to catch up to people in order to kill them. Also the sheen prod is nice.
Ninja Tabi/Merc Treads - If they have a lot of ad you go Tabi and lots of ap you go Mercs.
Randuins Omen- Reduce the AD Carry's Crit damage and overall op item.
Adaptive Helm - Reduce any ap champions damage like crazy.
Guardian Angel- You are so strong with the items you have gotten previously so this gives you a second life to be that strong again.
Pathing (A.K.A Jungling) CHANGED!!!!!
Often times you hear "High" elo players say stuff like my pathing is bad or I have no lane priority so I can't take this fight. By "High" elo, I only mean master tier and up. Even Masters tier might be a stretch. I will be explaining the vocabulary of these two concept so you can win 90% of the time in the jungle.
Pathing is really easy as long as you are relaxed, all it means is that you are clearing jungle camps to the lane you want to gank. Example would be Red > Blue > Gromp and than go TOP lane. Or Blue > Wolves > Red than BOT LANE. See the idea is simple. So after you decide if you want to clear to top or to bot, all you do for the rest of the game is clear the same exact way you just did.
Pathing top - Krugs > Wraiths > Wolves > Gromp ---- GANK TOP and than RECALL and repeat
Pathing bot - Gromp > Wolves > Wraiths > Gromp ---- GANK BOT and than RECALL and repeat
The goal is to get to your camps as they spawn or before.
Scuttle crab is a random spawn that you get if it happens to appear, but you do not want to die for it. You are way more effective, stronger and have more gold if you are faster than the enemy jungles versus slowing down for a scuttle.
Every camp spawns every 2 minutes and 30 seconds except for the blue and the red buff so every time you back your camps will be ready for you to take.

New Changes to Xin Zhao New Playstyle
Example: You press e q w combo like the above and than u run either closer to them or further with phase rush and wait on your e to come back to fight again.
It is a way to make Xin Zhao able to choose whether to fight or disengage.
