Threats & Synergies
If your team has a tanky frontline, I would recommend going SPELLBOOK ZILEAN and building AP. If not, it is much safer to go GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN against an enemy team with Aatrox. He has plenty of mobility to dodge your Q+W+Q combo, so you have to be careful and wait for him to use his cooldowns, before you use yours. Once his dash is down, you can safely E him to slow him down, then followup with Q+W+Q. He'll be spamming his somersault to try and reach you, but thanks to your E, he won't be able to get into range. He will be building quite bulky so you won't be able to burst him down with one combo. Coordinate with your team to take him down. Don't try to 1v1 him as he has potential to dive onto you. If he manages to hit you with his slow, just E yourself vertically to escape the dragback into the middle of the zone.
Even if your team has a strong frontline, I would still recommend going GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN against Ahri. Three dashes makes it very difficult to hold her down. During the laning phase, she will shove you into tower making it hard for you to cs. Try to freeze the wave near your tower when she does this and let your jungler gank, since she has poor mobility pre-6. Not the worst matchup, but can turn one-sided real quick if you get hit by her E. Lategame you need to E her to force her ult, but then you have to dodge her E in return. This is why it is important to be tankier when going up against assassins like Ahri. If she can't burst you down, she won't bother focusing you. That's exactly what you want, as you can simply revive the ally she chooses to focus, wasting her time and combo. Even if you have a strong frontline, Ahri will always be able to flank your team and reach your carries, as she has three dashes. Be aware of where she is and warn your team with pings.
I would recommend going GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN against her, as it is too risky going AP. It’s unlikely that you will be able to land your Q+W+Q on her, since she can hide in her W or dash away. Just farm it out with her in the laning phase and freeze the wave near your tower. The upside to the matchup is that she is a very predictable assassin like Fizz, so you can time your ultimate properly. However, it's not good if she is able to focus you down, so don't build squishy. Let her focus your ADC and revive them; once Akali's cooldowns are gone, she's going to run away and hide in her W. You can GLP the shroud and E+Q+W+Q her as soon as she reveals herself, then let your team kill her. Respect her lane dominance and damage, as she is supposed to win 1v1s.
If your team has some hard cc, you can feel free to go AP with SPELLBOOK ZILEAN. If you're the only one that can engage, then you have no choice but to go GLACIAL/TENACITY. Alistar doesn't have enough movement speed to gap close reliably, so you can easily predict what he's trying to do, making it easy to time Q+W+Q. He may build righteous glory and try running towards you, but one CC spell will mitigate his engage complete. Just stay out of his W range, so that he can't gapclose onto you. Your E can slow him down completely, making him very easy to kite. Feel free to E+Q+W+Q him without fear once his headbutt-knockup combo is down. Building AP is recommended as he does tend to build MR, so you will need to help take him down.
If you have a frontline that can block his engage, then go SPELLBOOK ZILEAN with AP. Otherwise, it's much wiser to go GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN to peel for your allies. Tank Amumu isn't much of a threat, as you have enough tenacity to escape his cc. Full AP Grenade Amumu is a bit more of a problem if you're not careful, as he can burst you down fast. Luckily, tenacity will let you ult yourself before you die, if you're going GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN. Punish him once his cooldowns are down, as that's when he's most vulnerable. You can E+Q+W+Q him with ease, then let your ADC shred him down. Respect his engage and don't get hit by his bandage toss. Tell your team not to clump together and spread out, so he can't cc all of you at once.
Early game it will be a relaxing, farm lane. She will occasionally throw out her snowball to stun you and followup with a shard for some burst, but as long as you stay at range, you will never get hit. Her low health pool and lack of mobility makes setting up ganks for your jungler a breeze. However, once she reaches level six and acquires the blue buff, her waveclear will easily match yours. Both of you will scale strong into the lategame, so it all depends on how the teamfights turn out.
You will get harassed by her long range autos and once she hits 6, she can burst you down and force your ultimate. Survive the laning phase and ss when she roams. Shove in the wave once you get Lost Chapter so that you can keep her in lane. Annie is a snowballing champion, so if she doesn't get ahead she won't be strong. In the lategame, you can predict her burst quite easily, but just make sure you aren't caught up in her Tibbers+Stun combo as well.
Very versatile kit and surprisingly long range abilities. Makes it quite annoying to deal with, but his lack of mobility makes him an easy target to lock down. Just make sure you track which weapon he has up and let your teammates jump ontop of him after your stun.
If you get hit by the arrow, you will die. Other than that, she isn't too much of a threat. But couple her with a good support and there will be problems, as Ashe snowballs very hard and is tankier than the usual ADCs.
He will shove you in super fast and make it hard for you to cs. Luckily, his short range makes him an easy target to Q+W+Q.
One of the fastest pushes in the game, hence why Zilean will struggle against him. You will be put under tower struggling to cs very quickly and you can’t stop him. The consistency of Azir’s DPS makes it difficult for you to know who to ult. He will be shredding your allies simultaneously whilst staying afar. Your best bet is to GLP-800 him and force him to shuffle away, whilst trying to followup with a Q+W+Q.
The ultimate from this guy makes it very annoying, as you can't cast any abilities. His mobility somewhat makes him hard to catch and his roams are quite deadly. He can snowball his team quite hard if allowed to roam and his well-timed stuns can change fights. Your job is to lock him down as quickly as possible, as he is very squishy.
Thanks to tenacity, getting grabbed isn't the end of the world anymore. You should still be able to ult yourself and escape, but just try not to get grabbed in the first place. It's better for him to grab someone on your team which you can ult, completely mitigating his pick-and-kill playstyle.
The damage does make this scary, but his lack of mobility means you can stun him very easily.
He likes clumping with his allies, so he will take bombs back to them as well. He makes landing Q+W+Q combos quite easy actually. Never pick Braum into Zilean!
The range and poke will give you a very hard time. You won't be able to stun her easily, as you can't really get close enough to her.
Dependent on the skill of the Cass player. She has potential to push you into your tower fast, but will run out of mana very quickly. You will be risking a lot if you try to E+Q+W+Q her, but if you kite back fast enough she will get stunned without you taking too much damage. A smart Cass will always take cleanse, so that she won’t be stopped by one Q+W+Q. Try to freeze the wave by your tower, so that your jungler can gank her. Your role is to lock her down as soon as possible, as Cass wins any extended trade and thrives in prolonged teamfights.
Hextech Ultimatum forces you to use your ult, making it very annoying to deal with. Similar J4 effect, where you get trapped. You must Q+W+Q her so that she is stunned and unable to get her damage off. Once her ultimate ends, you're free to leave and reposition.
Just watch out for the burst damage if he's going full AP. One wrong step into his knockup spells immediate death. His silence makes his combo extremely deadly. Stay out of range and only attack when he wastes his Q.
Let him push. Strong laner and good mix of damage. You must rely on your teammates to engage on him, as his Valkyrie makes him very difficult to catch.
Your E makes him even easier to kite. Even if you get reeled in, you can still escape in time. Your ult also ruins his reset.
Let her push in lane. She’s a bit like Ekko, but with a much deadlier engage. If she gets ontop of you you’re going to have to burn your ultimate. Laning phase is tough, because she can jump onto you for free damage if she lands her Q. You must stay at range and survive the laning phase without dying. Ontop of all this, she has strong pushing potential and makes it a nightmare for you to cs under tower. Later on, make sure you ult your carries as Diana can burst them down super quick. Be sure to stay away from her as well, so that she isn’t able to jump onto you. It’s your job to Q+W+Q her, as keeping her stunned is what will actually help your teammates kill her. She has amazing 1v1 potential as well, so she can take out each member of your team with ease if she isn’t focused. Think of her like Master Yi, but dealing AP damage.
With no gap closers, you can kite him easily. The only issue is that you’ll need a good ADC to win, as Mundo stacks MR.
His aggression makes him a strong lane bully. He usually takes cleanse if he knows he’s against chain cc, making him annoying to deal with. E+Q+W+Q is risky, as his auto attacks pack a huge punch. Rely on your teammates to make him fall behind early; if he snowballs he will be unstoppable.
Let him push but try to freeze the wave before the minions fall under your turret. The biggest problem is that you don’t have the damage early to bully Ekko. He will simply Q the wave, shoving you into tower. Zilean sucks at csing under turret due to the lack of damaging abilities, so you will always be under cs against Ekko. Furthermore, ensure that you keep your distance and don’t let him engage onto you. Ekko is an Assassin that can kill you very easily. Post-6, Ekko will look to roam bot as he can tower dive and getaway with his ultimate. Make sure you ss and shove the wave in to make him lose cs. Later on in the game, once drake fights break out, you can deny his all-ins on your ADC with your ultimate. This is when you can actually start evening out the game with him, mid-late game.
The spider form W lets her escape temporarily, forcing you to delay your bombs. The stun and quick burst damage makes are a pain to deal with. You must quickly react with your ult when she focuses down your ally. Make sure you land your Q+W+Q combo, otherwise she will burst you down.
How can you hit something you can’t see? You must have fast reflexes to respond to her burst. You will be forced to trade ults with her, which makes it very annoying. As soon as she pops out, E her to slow her down, then try to Q+W+Q so that she is forced to ult out early. If you take too long to respond, you’re dead.
Push him in wherever possible, so that he’s forced to waste his skillshots on minions rather than you. His poke lategame is a huge threat and his mobility makes him impossible to hit. Close the gap on him as soon as possible and E him to slow him down. He will be forced to flux away early, making him back off and play passive. The biggest problem is that you will need to do this quickly, as Ezreal wins sustained fights due to poke.
The fact that she can negate your stun makes it annoying. Fiora wins any sustained fight so you must burst her down quickly. If she builds Death’s Dance, it will delay your burst damage meaning she gets enough time to react. You can defend her split pushes by clearing the wave, but she can tower dive you when your cooldowns are on, so make sure you keep your distance. E her to slow her down, then quickly W+E yourself away. I recommend taking Ghost against her, as it will let you escape if she chases you.
Let him push and survive the laning phase without dying. Anything that has low mobility will get hit by Fizz's ultimate, resulting in a guaranteed kill. This means that you will have to be very careful post-6. Rush Lost Chapter, push him in and roam before he does. If Fizz roams, follow him and make sure you save your allies. The moment you see him finish using Playful/Trickster to escape, follow him and Q+W+Q. If he Zhonya's, be sure to use your E to slow him down and allow your teammates to catch up. Never fight him 1v1; he's designed to beat you. Remember: Summoner's Rift is a 5V5, not a 1v1. You don't have to stay in lane and suffer a losing matchup!
You can kite him, but just be careful as his Q has a long range. You should let him push and survive the laning phase. He has huge burst potential if you get too close, so respect his damage and place safe. During the lategame, he will fall-off and just peel him off your allies.
Hard to cc and has long range with his ult+barrels. You can push him in during the laning phase, as his early game is weak. His barrels are super slow in the lower levels, so you can auto attack them and destroy them, inhibiting his waveclear potential.
He is kiteable, but only when he burns his Q beforehand. He is hard to lock down but you can keep up the slows with your high CDR. You must consistently hit him with your bombs, otherwise he’ll silence you and kill you.
Just don’t get stunned and you’ll be fine. He’s hard to lockdown in mini form, but make sure you stun him when he’s in mega form. Once his cooldowns are burned, you can lock him down easily. Avoid his initial engage and you’ll be fine.
AP gragas is the biggest threat. Let him push the wave and farm. His roams are deadly but he’s not that mobile, so as soon as his E body slam is used, lock him down and let your team finish him off. Don’t get caught out and you’ll be fine.
His upfront damage makes him a threat. But if you don’t feed him, he’s not strong at all. He’s a sitting duck once he burns his E, so be sure to Q+W+Q him.
You can slow him down with E, but not his ult. That makes him hard to disengage from, but with tenacity you will survive. Once his ult is over, just E+Q+W+Q him and you’ll be able to lock him down. Just make sure you don’t feed him, as full AD hecarim can burst you down too quickly.
The lane dominance and bullying that Heimerdinger is capable of will put you under turret all throughout laning phase. Try your best to CS under turret and use your Q+W+Q combo if necessary to last hit minions. Don’t waste your mana trying to destroy his turrets with your bombs, as you will get pushed in anyways due to your high cooldowns early on. You will get harassed by his missiles as well, so just try your best to farm and stay alive. Purchase Lost Chapter as soon as possible and try to push the wave back in. If you can roam and influence other lanes rather than stay farming under turret with Heimerdinger, you will be much more useful.
Easily kiteable, just don’t get hit by her E and she’s not a problem.
Very annoying to deal with in lane. Treat her just like Yasuo; don’t push the wave and just freeze it near your tower. In teamfights, keep her slowed and try to lock her down with Q+W+Q. If you miss, you will have to burn your ultimate; risky business.
Do not underestimate his cc. His shields also make his allies more durable than usual, so they won’t be bursted down. Ivern normally builds redemption, making extended fights. Therefore, you must be prepared to consistently land your bombs to lock down enemies and don’t let them out-sustain your team.
Your E is Janna’s worst nightmare. Simply slow her and Q+W+Q; she’ll be forced to ult or flash away.
Let him push. Identical to Camille’s engage style, he will lock you down with his ult and force you to waste your ult. His guaranteed engage is very annoying to deal with. Lethality J4 is a huge threat, as he will oneshot your allies so you must react quickly. Luckily, they tankier version of J4 is more popular, which means he deals less damage, giving you time to react. Once his engage is complete, he will be trapped with you, as you can E+Q+W+Q him easily when his E+Q combo is on cooldown.
Just don’t get jumped on and you’ll be fine. Your job is to defend his split pushes by clearing the wave. A Jax that teamfights will always be less effective than a split push Jax. Zilean’s waveclear will force Jax to back off and group. Unlike Tryndamere, he can’t dive you as comfortably as his gap closers relies on clicking onto you. As long as you stay at range, he can’t do anything.
The ultimate lane bully. This guy is designed to make weak laners quit the game. Luckily, his popularity is not all that high, but I would ban him everytime if I could. It’s just too much pressure to handle. So, what survival tactics are there? Well, let the wave push towards you as usual, since giving him the wave will end up in a nice freeze setup near his tower, where he can just poke you down and engage on you. Try to farm under tower, but it is extremely difficult on Zilean because you only have one damaging ability. Jayce is very good at controlling the wave, because he is AD. He has enough damage in his autoattacks and attack speed to shove in a wave fast. After laning phase, Jayce will poke down your teammates or even go split-pushing. It’s so hard to deal with, but if your teammates engage on him correctly and early, he is very easy to kill. But relying on your teammates is the downside to everything in solo Q, since you never know what you might get. If he chooses to split-push, you will have to either go and clear the waves he’s pushing in, or force a 5v4 fight. It’s rather difficult to know which to do, as you have to judge the likelihood of winning the 5v4. If your team isn’t ahead enough, just go and stop him split-pushing.
His rooting and ultimate makes it a threat, as he can shine if his team peels for him well. You must E+Q+W+Q him as soon as possible, similarly to how you’ll play against Ezreal. But limiting his movement speed, you’ll limit his power.
Hypercarries coupled with a good support makes Zilean’s job super hard. Jinx’s rockets have a long range and she will be very hard to lockdown. Her sustained DPS outshines Zilean in extended fights, so you must burst her down quickly with Q+W+Q. Unfortunately, she will always build QSS and break free, making her a constant threat. Rely on your teammates to engage on her by speeding them up.
Just like jinx, but the shorter range makes her a much smaller threat. When she is close, E+Q+W+Q her immediately. Without the movement speed, Kai’sa is a sitting duck. You can survive her burst just enough to lock her down.
You should be able to GLP and Q+W+Q her from long range. Her sidestepping only begins once she gets into range to auto. Since you outrange her with your bombs, she can’t really dodge them and will always get stunned.
Decent damage and waveclear, so just let her push. She is quite similar to Zilean in terms of speedup, but she also gives her allies a shield. If she has a lot of bruisers on her team it will be quite problematic, as she can speed them up and help them to close down on your carries. Just keep up the stuns in teamfights and don’t let her tether you.
Push him in so he’s forced to focus on his own wave rather than poking you. Abyssal Mask is a must against this matchup, as you don’t want to be chunked down before the teamfights even start. He’s not really a threat if you’re not squishy and he’s very easy to lock down.
If your teammates have already banned Zed, ban Kassadin next. Kassadin is arguably the King of Solo Q. Most assassins have a very strong mid game and become weaker in the lategame. But Kassadin just keeps getting stronger as the game goes on. With enough mana and CDR, this guy can even getaway with building tank items but still being able to deal the damage he needs to burst your carries. Now, going back to the matchup, you literally can’t hit your Q+W+Q combo unless he makes a mistake. You don’t have enough damage or poke early game to bully him out of lane, as your mana costs and cooldowns are too high. The only way to beat Kassadin is to bully his weak early game, but if you can’t do that, he will outscale you and destroy your team (similarly to Tryndamere). To conclude, beating Kassadin relies heavily on teamwork and chain cc. Kassadin exploits players who don’t work together and this is often the case in solo Q. Winning against him is not impossible, but you can never do it alone. A good Kassadin will buy merc treads to make it even more annoying, so a lot of cc is needed.
Exhaust is mandatory against Katarina. If she ults, just exhaust her and nullify her damage. Now, it does take skill to land your bombs on her since she can shunpo around. You need to predict her next move and Q+W+Q her daggers, so she gets stunned as soon as she shunpo’s to them. Use your E on her to slow her down as well and let your team do the rest. If you manage to stun her, she will be useless. But if you miss, you will be forced to burn your ultimate. The trick is to wait for her to shunpo first, then Q+W+Q her. You must be quick, as she can shunpo again and dodge your bombs. What you can do is land one bomb on her pre-fight, then put your second bomb on the dagger she is shunpoing to. This is very difficult to predict however, so that’s why she’s such a hard matchup. If your team is filled with tanks and hard cc, your life will be much easier since your teammates can lock her down for you. If that is the case, simply followup your team with a Q+W+Q right ontop of her and she will die. When she roams, shove the wave in and force her to lose cs. Make sure to ss like crazy because you don’t want her to get fed.
It’s not easy locking her down, as she’s a strong hypercarry that Zilean isn’t great against. Early game will just be farming, but that’s exactly what Kayle wants. If you don’t bully her early and set her behind, she just becomes unstoppable, similar to Kassadin. You must Q+W+Q her immediately in teamfights, so that she wastes her ult early.
It’s not easy to lock this guy down at all, which is why it makes it very annoying. He’s very mobile and is a big threat to any squishy. You can normally save your allies but if he focuses you, you must Q+W+Q him before he goes inside you.
A standard laner but with a deadly teamfight ult. He’s able to deal tons of damage whilst stunning your team, so you have to ult the right teammate and stay at range yourself.
Stealth is Zilean’s greatest weakness, as being unable to reliably land your Q+W+Q makes him useless. You will be forced to ult your allies fast, but any slower and you’ll miss your chance. Treat him like Evelynn and keep your eyes peeled.
You’ll be in range to E+Q+W+Q her if she tries to attack you, so as long as she isn’t fed she won’t be a problem.
The deadly engage is unstoppable, similarly to Hecarim. However, it’s the gap closers after that that make him an issue. You must Q+W+Q him and run away, so that you can reposition yourself and setup your next stun.
Just like Jinx, Zilean will struggle to land his Q+W+Q on Kog’Maw because of the long range. Coupled with a Lulu, you’ll need high burst and chain cc to shut him down reliably, which is rare in any solo Q game.
Leblanc is notorious for her pre-6 burst and oppressiveness in the mid lane. You must respect her damage so play safe until you can purchase Lost Chapter. This item gives you enough mana to shove in the minion wave and allow you to roam. The earlier you get out of lane, the better. A 1v1 situation against Leblanc is never beneficial, as you can never kill her whilst she can kill you! No point burning your Zilean ultimate for an inevitable death! Ping drake as soon as it spawns, so that your jungler and bot lane are aware. Leblanc's teamfight presence is poor, as the only job she can do is oneshot one of your carries. As Zilean, you can save that carry with your ultimate, rendering Leblanc useless! Once she distorts back to her original position, you can chase after her and try to land a Q+W+Q combo. Hopefully, your team will followup and just take the kill! Remember: Summoner's Rift is a 5V5, not a 1v1. You don't have to stay in lane and suffer a losing matchup!
Locking him down is a difficult one and his early game threat is what makes him very deadly. You can’t afford to miss your Q+W+Q, otherwise he’ll snowball his team out of control.
The tenacity works wonders against Leona, as she will always try to cc you down as a priority. If she cc’s your ally, just ult them and her engage is completely wasted. However, that doesn’t mean you can afford to just get caught out. You have to consistently land your Q+W+Q combo in teamfights to maintain relevant and if Leona manages to gap close onto you, you won’t be able to perform. Stay at range and don’t get stunned!
You can get locked down by her, but luckily you will be building Tenacity. A full damage Lissandra will be a huge threat to your carries, so be sure to ult them. Her engages are more predictable than the regular assassins, which is why she’s not that big of a threat. You should try to push her in so that she doesn’t get the lane pressure she needs to roam and get ahead. If you go even with her you’ve won.
The short range makes him an easy target to Q+W+Q. You can easily force his dash with your E, then followup after. He will try to burst you down, but he will be in a very dangerous position. Simply E yourself away if he tries to ult you.
She won’t be able to polymorph you before you ult her, making her an easy target. Treat her like Janna, where you can E+Q+W+Q her and force her to use her ult on herself.
I would recommend Abyssal Mask as she can still poke you down if you’re not careful. Luckily, she will focus down one of your squishy’s and your ult will completely waste her combo. She outranges you, but her mana costs are high too, so push her in so she has to waste her spells on waveclear rather than poking you. Respect her Q snare when she has it up and engage as soon as she wastes it. Your can use your GLP to slow her and Q+W+Q for a guaranteed stun.
He is easily kiteable and even if he ults, you’ll have enough time to react with your ult. The AP version is more of a threat since he can burst you down, but you should always respect malphite when he has his ult up, since his entire kit relies on that ability. His playstyle is to knockup your carries, so don’t bunch together with them and you’ll be fine. He is going to sacrifice himself if he’s not building tanky.
The waveclear and spellshield just makes locking him down so annoying. If you get suppressed, you will need to spam R and try to survive as soon as the effect ends. If he ults your ally however, you can nullify his combo with E+Q+W+Q and then ult your ally to save them from lingering damage.
You can Q+W+Q him and save the ally he’s locked down with your ult. Without his W, he’s easy to lock down and kite.
He’s immune to slows when he ults, so you must land your Q+W+Q combo. That’s never easy unless you have another member on your team locking him down with hard cc for you.
It’s not that easy when she has good positioning; if her team comp has enough frontline you’ll never be able too touch her. You have to Q+W+Q her as soon as she ults to prevent any further damage your team is taking, otherwise she’ll out-DPS your entire team. The good thing is that if she falls behind, you can GLP+Q+W+Q her without fear of getting burst down.
Easily kiteable and even if he flash ults you, you can survive with your own ultimate. If he chooses to ult someone but fail to kill them, he’s just wasted his time and crucial DPS.
Respect her Q. Even with tenacity, her snare is still enough to keep you held down till her team arrives. Her spellshield will be used to save whoever you’re trying to stun, so it makes it a lot trickier to play effectively against her team as Zilean. If she’s laning against you, it will be difficult to farm under turret, as her waveclear in the early levels will be stronger than yours.
She has good cc so you have to try and stun her before she can stun you. As soon as her bubble is down, go and E+Q+W+Q her.
Easily kiteable and even if he tries to split push, just clear the wave. He can’t dive you due to having no gap closers.
Similarly to Leona, he’ll waste everything to try and get you locked down. If he doesn’t and chooses to focus your ally instead, just ult them.
It’s like Kennen but with even stronger waveclear. You won’t be able to land your Q+W+Q combo if she clones herself whilst she engages, so you must stay at range and react as quickly as possible afterwards. Don’t get routed and E+Q+W+Q her after her ult ends to lock her down before she escapes.
Your E is her worst nightmare, as it forces her into cougar form immediately. You can mitigate her engage with your ult and as long as you’re able to dodge her spears, she can never poke you down. Respect the early game ganks and if she doesn’t get fed, she’s useless.
Getting engaged on by this guy is very scary and you will need tenacity to break free from his fear. His spellshield makes sure that he’ll survive his engage. But once that’s over, E+Q+W+Q him to lock him down and let your team kill him. You have to be near your carries so that you can ult them if Nocturne tries to kill them.
Nunu & Willump
He’s easy to kite and you can Q+W+Q him consistently.
He can’t be cc’ed, so take Ghost and E yourself till his ult is over. Then, re-engage with E+Q+W+Q and lock him down whilst your team deals the damage.
A solid lane bully with a devastating ult. Your job is to GLP+Q+W+Q her so that she gets killed before she can do anything. Try your best to survive the harass in the laning phase and don’t let her shove you into tower. If you can, freeze the wave near your turret, just before the wave crashes so that your jungler can gank and shut her down early.
Easily kiteable and just don’t get hit by his ult.
Predictable engage and no escapes, meaning that his only choice is to suicide himself and try to kill you. Simply ult yourself and completely waste his time. If he focuses on your ally, ult them then E+Q+W+Q pantheon.
Easily kiteable and predictable engage. Full AD Poppy is more of a threat, so stay away from terrain so that she can’t stun you.
Tough to Q+W+Q due to high mobility. Your ult prevents his ult from resetting, which means it can stop him from popping off with executions. As soon as he emerges from stealth, E him to force his dash.
She has a lot of mobility, making her very difficult to hit. You must be wary of her engage and don’t stand near terrain, otherwise you will get stunned.
Quinn has a direct way of engaging and has to put herself at range to burst you down. She’s a marksman assassin, with no escapes, meaning that as soon as she tries to burst you down, you can retaliate with E+Q+W+Q and instantly stun her. However, a Quinn that is too fed will burst you down too quickly, so you must burn your ult.
A great engage and mobility, Rakan is almost impossible to stun. You have to E him as soon as he’s in range so that he’s forced to dash back to his allies and retreat. Never let him charm you and stay at range to avoid getting knocked up.
Use your E to slow him down and since he can only lock down one champion at a time, you can easily Q+W+Q him and E your ally away as soon as the taunt ends. Any followup from his team can be negated using your ultimate. Rammus is built for picking off one squishy target, but Zilean excels at beating pick-comps with predictable engages.
Rek’Sai is only good if she is able to mark you and burst you down. If she goes for your carries, you can use your ult to mitigate her burst. As she is a hard engager, you can E+Q+W+Q her and keep her stunned until your team focuses her down. Just don’t get in range of her flash knockup.
He’s quite hard to kite especially when his flash is up. Renekton is very strong early with his trades and will not let you get to lategame. You need to win the skirmishes and don’t let him get fed. Later on in the game, Renekton becomes too predictable and he must burn his dashes to engage on your carries. This means you will have time to react and Q+W+Q him to let your team focus him down. If he tries to split push, simply Q+W+Q the wave and clear it. If he wants to tower dive you, E yourself away and he will be forced to flash+stun you. Trade ults with him and he’ll back off with no abilities left, meaning that you can punish him. Push back the wave and regroup with your team. You should be able to push harder as a team, as Renekton with no ult is very weak.
You must have quick reflexes and ult your carries if he focuses them. However, a rengar that is too fed will burst them down with one auto. Let him jump to you first before Q+W+Qing him, then E yourself away as he will try to free himself from your stun with his W.
Too many dashes makes her impossible to lock down. If she builds merc treads you will need to stay far away, as she can engage on you with ease. If she tries to split push, clear the wave and back off immediately. Don’t be tempted to E her, as she can dash towards you and chase you for days. She will try to flank in teamfights so your job is to ensure she isn’t able to. Keep her stunned and save your carries with your ult. Time your double bombs after each dash she does to gap close; don’t spam them as she can dash away to dodge.
So much damage and range with his ult. You will have MR to survive his burst, so stun him if you can. If you miss, he will obliterate your team.
You will get bullied in lane and his waveclear potential is even greater than yours. Your team must work together to take him down; he’s an easy target to stun but your team must followup, otherwise he’ll spam his abilities and obliterate you. He scales super hard as the game goes on as well, so you have to win around the mid-game. Try to get your ADC fed so that you can secure baron faster and close off the game before he becomes a monster.
Easily kiteable. Just don’t get hit by her ult and you’ll be fine.
Too much range and a deadly root. AD casters are Zilean’s biggest weakness. You need to have a bruiser or tank on your team to engage and lock her down for you, as it’s too risky to get in range and E her yourself. GLP into Q+W+Q to stun her, but if she stealths herself and her allies you will most likely miss.
Without any proper gap closers, Sett is kiteable and can be locked down using Q+W+Q. Similar to Darius, he’s useless if he falls behind. Peel your carries away from him during teamfights and keep him locked down with E+Q+W+Q.
He can burst your ally down before you even know it, then clone himself to dodge your Q+W+Q combo. He will make early game hell for you and your teammates, whilst being able to split push in the lategame as well. A fully overloaded kit is strong in every aspect, therefore you will need to rely on your teammates to win this. Help your jungler deep ward his jungle. If shaco falls behind, he won’t be able to assassinate your carries.
Easily kiteable and loves clunking together, making stunning his allies and himself a piece of cake.
The AP build is a much bigger threat than the AD bruiser. She will deal a lot more burst when she’s going full AP, meaning that you’ll have to react a lot faster. Her ganks aren’t that great as she has no real gap closers apart from changing into Dragon form. You can easily peel yourself and your allies away. Just don’t get jumped on and you’ll be fine.
Your E makes his life hell. Being unable to run away completely nullifies his playstyle. Followup with Q+W+Q to keep him locked down and let your team deal the damage.
He can be kited easily as long as he doesn’t manage to hit you with his abilities first. Stand clear of him when he ults and use your E to slow him down. Q+W+Q him to stop him from charging up his Q knockup.
The spellshield makes her quite hard to lock down. You need to bait it out by using your E on her, so that she’s forced to use the spellshield early. You’ll never be able to stun her, unless you have another member on your team with hard cc to followup. It’s dangerous to get in range as she can deal a lot of quick burst damage. The best way is to use GLP to slow her down, then followup with Q+W+Q. As soon as she spellshields one of your bombs, you can use E to slow her down and let your team followup. You will need to waste a ton of abilities to lock her down. Sivir can fall behind quite easily if she is unable to farm well, so look to roam bot and try to set her behind.
If he ults someone followup with your ult. He is very easy to E+Q+W+Q and gets kited due to the lack of any gap closers. Don’t let him flash+ult you and you’ll be fine.
Don’t let her land her ult on you and you will be fine. Her lack of cc makes her an easy target to E+Q+W+Q.
The lack of cc makes her an easy target to E+Q+W+Q. She will try to silence you and stop you from ulting your allies, but you can walk out of it pretty quickly.
You don’t build Morellonomicon nor deal enough burst damage to take him down. His root has a long range and he can be such a threat in the laning phase. You must survive lane and try not to get killed. Use GLP instead of walking up and using E, as getting too close will get you killed. Coordinate with your allies and peel your ADC from him. When his root is being shot out, retaliate with Q+W+Q so that he can’t reel in whilst he’s stunned.
The fact that he can steal your ultimate is already scary enough. He can towerdive other lanes after stealing your ult, so make sure you ss when he roams. He has a straightforward engage, so once he’s close, E+Q+W+Q him.
This is a very difficult matchup, thanks to the consistent Q spam early game. She can push in the wave quickly and also use her stun combo to deal damage to you in lane. Overall, you can’t even play safe enough to survive this lane. Everytime you come for cs she will Q you, bringing you low on health. So how do you beat her? Well, you can’t. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t win the game. You see, your ultimate is on a lower cooldown than hers, so post-6 she can never kill you again unless you get stunned constantly. You can also negate her burst with exhaust and ult the ally she’s focusing down. Her range is not that great so you can E her quite easily, setting up ganks for your jungler. To conclude, never 1v1 a Syndra. You must rely on your allies and try your best to just survive the laning phase.
Easily kiteable and you can always ult your ally before they get gobbled up. If he tongue lashes you, Q+W+Q him and E yourself away.
The fast roams and good waveclear makes her a strong laner. She can knock you away or burst you down quickly. Use GLP to engage instead of your E, as getting too close will mean taking too much damage. She has tools herself to help her kite, so being able to catch her is a difficult task. Try to come in from the side so that you can land Twin Shadows on her as well to secure a GLP+Q+W+Q combo.
Make sure you stay well alway from him during the level-2 powerspike. You can’t afford to give him first blood. With a kit designed to roam and snowball, Talon is insanely strong in solo Q. You have to save your allies with your ult when he tries to all-in them, otherwise he will just keep getting stronger. When he roams, ss like crazy and shove in the wave as quickly as you can to make him lose cs. Overall, just keep your distance, clear the waves and ss.
Easy to kite and struggles against AP damage. Don’t get stunned and you will be fine.
His shrooms are a big problem, so Abyssal Mask is definitely needed. He’s easy to lock down as long as he doesn’t get too fed, since E+Q+W+Qing him will result in a quick trade where he can deal a lot of burst damage and chunk your health. Use GLP to engage further away and secure a Q+W+Q to avoid his auto attack range. If he split pushes, clear the minion wave so that he has to stop. He isn’t tanky enough to tower dive you so don’t worry.
His hook range is long than your E, so you have to be very careful when trying to E+Q+W+Q him. Be ready to ult your ally when they get hooked. Do not get hooked yourself, otherwise you will have to waste ult on yourself.
She's very hard to lock down thanks to her W. Use your E to instantly slow her and force her to use it, then followup with Q+W+Q. However, she can easily trade with you and deal tons of damage in the process. A fed Tristana will burst you down in around 4-5 autos. The safest way is to use Twin Shadows+GLP, to make her waste her W first.
Without his pillar, he's very easy to kite. With enough tenacity, his pillar slow won't be able to keep you held down for long, so just E yourself away.
Not always found in mid, but he will be in the top lane. Personally, he will be a threat no matter what because he is the ultimate split-pushing champion. You have to decide on how to counter split-pushing if you wish to climb, but being a mid lane mage does not make this easy. When he does, you have two options: 1. If your team is behind or even, just go to to Tryndamere and use your bombs to clear the wave he’s shoving in. Do not use your E on him until he spins into you, as one auto attack from that guy will chunk you down to a half of your health. Just stay at range and Q+W+Q. Once he has no minions, he must stop split-pushing. 2. If your team is ahead, hard engage on the opponent and force the 5v4. Once you win the fight, let your team just go and push, whilst you or your top laner goes to Tryndamere to stop him from taking anymore objectives. Tryndamere is not the biggest threat in lane, but never let him engage onto you, as his damage is very high. His pressure and game-winning potential is all about how he split-pushes. It’s all about timing with this guy and that’s what makes solo Q his breakfast.
In the early game, just farm it out with him. Keep the wave frozen near your tower so that your jungler can gank for you. Post-6 is where you need to ss as soon as he goes out of vision, since he can roam top or bot instantly. Shove in the wave to make him lose cs. In the lategame, just ult whoever he tries to gold-card. He has no escapes himself so use E+Q+W+Q whenever his W is down, so that he can't retaliate with a red or gold card.
Outranges everyone and makes early game hell if he’s jungling. You need to reliably stun him with Q+W+Q in order to stop him from dealing damage. You need an ally to assist you on this, as Twitch can position extremely well in teamfights and stay away safely. If he has an enchanter support such as Lulu or Janna, it will make it very difficult to get a good engage on him. As soon as he emerges from stealth, Q+W+Q him.
Keep him slowed and you’ll be able to consistently hit Q+W+Q. He can become a problem if you let him flash onto you, so stay at range. If he split pushes, clear the minion wave and back off. Don’t let him get in range to duel you.
Your ult nullifies his ult. His lack of range and mobility makes him easy to kite as well; you can Q+W+Q him then E your allies away so that they can continue kiting whilst dealing damage. He does have a delayed dash so make sure you dodge that, as getting too close is dangerous.
Long range and has a deadly ultimate. Dodge his skillshots and engage whenever his ult is down. Use GLP then Q+W+Q to safely stun him at range.
High mobility and is hard to cc, especially when she goes invisible with her ult. Work with your allies to lock her down quickly and utilise GLP to find her when she goes invisible.
He’s got weak laning phase so he isn’t much of a threat to you. Later on, ult the ally he’s trying to burst down then GLP+Q+W+Q him for a free stun. Avoid his E and he is useless. Once he has no E, feel free to engage with E+Q+W+Q and stun him.
Not as potent as Xerath, but still deadly if you keep getting poked down. His waveclear is also very strong, so you will be put under tower early game.
Your ult counters her ult. Zilean deals very well with divers, as he can instantly E+Q+W+Q them if they get too close. Vi is meant for hard diving your backline and risking everything to burst down one target; Zilean’s playstyle completely counters this. She will try to focus you, but with GLP and enough tenacity, you can simply E yourself away.
Powerful lane bully with good scaling. Survive the lane phase and freeze the wave near your turret. Let your jungler gank, as Viktor has no escapes. Later on use GLP+Q+W+Q to stun him from afar. He’s one of the very few mages out there that can effectively kite, making him a real pain to hit.
The pool can be used to dodge your Q+W+Q combo, making him extremely annoying to deal with. He has enough burst damage to take down your carries in one spell rotation, so you have to be mindful of your positioning. If he split pushes, wait till he uses his abilities first before you clear the wave. He has insanely good diving potential and with a stacked Spellbinder, he can move surprisingly fast. It’s your job in teamfights to force him to use his pool early; engage onto Vlad first so that your team has enough time to react when he is busy pooling. Use GLP+Q+W+Q to secure a stun onto him, then E him as soon as he breaks free so that your carries can kite him. Don’t get too close to Vlad as you don’t want to get burst down. Be wary of ulting too early, as Vlad’s ult triggers a few seconds after to deal damage.
He’s a diver that is very one-dimensional, meaning that you can easily predict where he will go. If he ults someone and attempts to kill them, simply react with your own ult. He will try to jump onto you but your tenacity will enable you to E yourself away. After he uses his gap closer, Q+W+Q him and E yourself. If he focuses anyone else, use your E on him so that your carries can continue to kite. He is easily kiteable without his ultimate, as his gap closer has a very short range.
The stealth makes him very hard to predict, so you will always get knocked up if you don’t deep ward and see him coming. You will always be forced to ult yourself, if he chooses to engage onto you. After he engages and uses his ult, it is your responsibility to immediately Q+W+Q him to stop him spinning. He’s a bit like Katarina in a way, so the longer he spins the more damage he deals. Use GLP to stop him escaping and followup with E+Q+W+Q, for a second stun. The hardest part is surviving his initial engage, but if you do, you can easily punish him for it. Don’t let him get fed by deep warding and ssing to keep your team safe.
Long range and has an annoying ultimate. She will always be able to dodge your Q+W+Q, thanks to her ult. Speed up your allies so they can hard engage onto her, then followup with Q+W+Q.
You will get poked down so make sure you try your best to dodge Xerath’s skillshots. Once you purchase Lost Chapter, shove in the minion wave and roam.
He is designed to all-in and destroy comps that can’t cc him. He only has one dash so once he uses it you can Q+W+Q him. His ult makes ranged attacks useless, but don’t be afraid to keep Q+W+Qing him to keep him stunned. Once his ult finishes he’ll be easy to focus down.
Yasuo is designed to pressurise skillshot mages. Zilean's bombs can easily be negated by his windwall. Play safe and don't push the minion wave until you have purchased Lost Chapter. Shove him in and roam; it is better to help other lanes rather than to stay with free-farming Yasuo. There's nothing you can really do to stop him.
No reliable gap closers means he can be kited easily. Ensure you stay at range and you’ll be fine. Use E+Q-+W+Q to lock him down and help your carries kite.
She will carry her bombs back to her allies. Zilean excels against enemies that clump together since he has a powerful AoE stun. Dodge her ultimate by using E on yourself and stepping sideways.
React quickly to his engage by using E on yourself or your allies. As long as you don’t get engaged on you will be fine. Use E+Q+W+Q to keep him locked down.
Myth: Zilean counters Zed. I always ban Zed every ranked game, as I don’t want to build Zhonya’s Hourglass. Zilean is actually weak against Assassins, because of his weak early game. Zilean is just like any other mage; just because he has a free revive ult does not mean he is immune to getting burst down. Just farm and stay alive until you have purchased Lost Chapter. Then, you can shove the wave and pressure bot or top. If Zed roams, ward and follow. You can prevent him from killing your allies and turn a bad situation into your favour (e.g. Zed roams bot -> 3V2 situation -> Zed All-ins your ADC -> You save your ADC with Ult -> Zed has burned his W -> You E yourself up to him and land Q+W+Q combo -> Your ADC respawns and your support also follows up -> Enemy ADC and support join the fight -> 3v3 situation, but Zed is now low on health -> Zed dies -> 3V2 -> Enemy backs off). Ping Drake whenever it is up, so that your jungler is aware. Zilean outshines Zed in skirmishes and teamfights, but will always lose in a 1v1. Remember: Summoner's Rift is a 5V5, not a 1v1. You don't have to stay in lane and suffer a losing matchup!
Ziggs has a nasty ultimate that will bring you and your team low during skirmishes. It makes it hard to know who to ult, as he can deal a lot of damage to multiple teammates. The laning phase will be quite difficult, but just keep your range and dodge his Q. Xerath is a lot scarier to be honest. You will probably get pushed in lane early, but Ziggs runs out of mana quite quickly so don’t be too worried. Just try to cs the best you can and rely on your teammates to engage on him.
Zoe's bubble on its own can force you to burn Zilean's ultimate ability, making it very hard to deal with. Treat her similarly to Leblanc, where you rush Lost Chapter so that you can shove in the wave and roam to other lanes. Don't waste time trying to kill something you can't! Remember: Summoner's Rift is a 5V5, not a 1v1. You don't have to stay in lane and suffer a losing matchup!
High damage and good poke. Stay at range and E your allies to engage on her. Once her root is down, GLP+Q+W+Q her to land some double bombs. Use Twin Shadows to hunt her down in the lategame. Stay at range and don’t let her deal damage to you.
Aatrox's biggest weakness is that his gap closers are delayed and predictable. He can get kited easily and without a speed boost, he can never get in range. Zilean's E lets him get within range to start his combo. Zilean can also combo with Q+W+Q once the enemy is cc'ed by Aatrox. Overall, this combination is very strong and Zilean's ultimate just makes Aatrox even harder to kill.
If you're going GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN, the GLP and Twin Shadows helps to slow enemies down for Ahri to land her charm. Zilean's E can also help Ahri, but she normally has enough mobility already. It just makes it impossible to escape from her.
Giving any assassin a free GA is already super strong. Combined with the Akali's mobility, she will be able to engage and disengage much easier.
Alistar's biggest weakness is that he can get kited very easily. Zilean's E resolves this issue but getting him into range for headbutt-knockup combo. You can then followup with a nice Q+W+Q and chain cc multiple enemies at once!
Amumu is easily kiteable when he doesn’t have his Q, so Zilean’s E really does solve this problem. You can speed him up and make him stick to his enemies whilst he deals damage with W. Furthermore, you can chain cc very easily with Amumu, by using your Q+W+Q stun. It's even better when he goes AP grenade Amumu, as you can ult him after he suicides into the enemy team and let him do his combo again.
Your only real compatibility is following up her stuns with yours. You should never E her as she doesn’t want to get too close to enemies. Only E her to help her escape, since she has low movement speed. Your best bet is going GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN to help her trap enemies in her ult.
Annie’s biggest weakness is her lack of gap closers. Her burst combo normally involves her flashing or casting protobelt. Zilean’s E can let her get into range and chase enemies that are running away. Annie also synergises well with Zilean’s stuns, for a Tibbers + Double Bomb combo! Annie normally has to Zhonya’s after using her full burst combo, but Zilean can simply ult her when she’s vulnerable.
Giving Aphelios a guardian angel for free is very strong. Zilean can also E him to escape or chase enemies. Aphelios' versatile kit can synergise well with pretty much any champion to be honest. Zilean's Q+W+Q can help Aphelios setup his burst combo or give him more time to deal DPS.
Chain cc with her ult and slows, to ensure that nobody can escape. Zilean and Ashe can hunt down anyone, literally. Your E let's her dodge skillshots as well, as Ashe's biggest weakness is that she doesn't have any dashes. She is a duelist ADC that likes to build lifesteal, so it makes it easier for you to time your ult since she isn't as squishy as the other ADCs out there.
Aurelion Sol gets kited very easily and struggles to get in range to deal damage. Zilean’s E compensates for this entirely and his double bombs can easily combo with Aurelion’s stun. It's even better if you go GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN, since you can focus on utility and setup engages for A'sol. He will be dealing large amounts of AP damage once he gets within range with his enemies, so that's what you should focus on.
Not much synergy and he can sometimes mess up your timing of Q+W+Q if he shuffles enemies away. You can use E to help him escape, but he stays far enough away anyway, so not really all that useful. If you're going GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN, you can use GLP to slow down enemies and let him deal DPS more reliably.
Bard synergises well with movement speed, which Zilean is perfect at providing his allies. Bard ult can setup a guaranteed Q+W+Q combo and win fights entirely! Using the GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN build, you help can chase down enemies and let Bard followup more reliably.
You can get Blitzcrank into range without him having to waste his own W, by speeding him up with your E. Nobody can escape and you can easily Q+W+Q anyone that he grabs for a guaranteed takedown!
Not reliable with cc and is useless with movement speed. You can setup a Double bomb stun for Brand followup with his full combo, but that’s pretty much it. Use E to help Brand run away. GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN would be the recommended build, as you won't need damage with Brand around. Setup engages and let Brand followup; peel for him when necessary.
Getting Braum into range with E makes him very hard to kite. You can use Q+W+Q to setup insane lengths of chain cc. His ult can now be used to engage, if you set it up for him with E+Q+W+Q.
Your Q+W+Q stun sets up Caitlyn traps. Cait also does well with extra movement speed, as she can kite even better with her long auto attack range.
Her R is a perfect place for you to double bomb. Your E can make her even stickier and nobody can escape. You make her engages unstoppable and couple it with a burst of AP damage!
Extra movement speed makes her a kiting machine, whilst helping her to dodge skillshots. Her ult synergises perfectly with your Q+W+Q. Both of you can work together to chain cc enemies and keep them stuck in Cass poison.
Easily kited, but Zilean’s E solves this problem. If he’s going full AP, he will most likely flash in to burst their carry then pop Zhonya’s. You can ult him and let his cooldowns come back up for a second combo. Easily chain cc with his knockup for insane burst!
Corki is like a diver-adc and your E helps him do that perfectly. He deals insane damage once an enemy is locked down with your Q+W+Q and can also be revived with your ult. You can go GLACIAL/TENACITY ZILEAN to help him engage on enemies as well.
His biggest weakness is that he's slow and easily kited. That's why Zilean's E is perfect on him; he's able to get in range to reel enemies in and start taking full blows of his combo. You can even ult him once they actually start to focus him down. Followup with Q+W+Q on targets he slows so that he can keep stacking up bleeds on his enemies.
You have a crazy combo-combo with her: E her so that she gets in range to dash in then followup with Q+W+Q. She will reel in all the enemies around her for multiple stuns, then combo that down with her ult to deal serious damage. It's like a Malphite engage, but with a lot more damage. You can then ult her if she doesn't have Zhonya's yet.
Nunu & Willump
Champion Build Guide
- He specialises in utility in the form of speed boosts and slows, coupled with powerful waveclear.
- The Mid lane is all about shoving in the wave and roaming, in order to create pressure all around the map. Zilean is definitely capable of doing this, making him a strong mid lane champion.
- Despite all the bad matchups you’ve got thanks to your weak early game, Zilean always comes out strong during teamfights and truly shines when you make perfectly timed saves with your ultimate.
Zilean is a weak laner and can't possibly compete with the meta mid laners. However, you're simply using the minions in the mid lane as an excuse to farm gold to buy waveclear.
After Level 5, it takes one Q+W+Q combo to clear the backline caster minions. This is the fastest way to push before Level 7. You will need to rely on your minions to lower the health of the melee minions, or lure them into your turret.
After Level 7, it takes one Q+W+Q combo to clear the frontline minions and bring caster minions down to single autos.
After Level 9, it takes one Q+W+Q combo to clear an entire wave of minions, except large Cannon minions:
1. Walk up to the wave, approaching the first three melee minions
2. Melee minions start bunching together horizontally
3. Q+W+Q the melee minion in the middle
4. Run away from the wave horizontally
5. As the caster minions catch up to the melee minions whilst they're stunned, the bomb explodes, clearing the entire wave
You can also wait till your opponent pushes the wave first:
1. As they last hit your final minion, throw out a Q+W+Q on the ground.
2. Let the enemy minions walk up to the bombs.
3. The melee minions get stunned and the caster minions catch up, getting cleared.
EXHAUST + FLASH when you're up against Assassins like Katarina, Fizz, Talon etc.
BARRIER + FLASH when you're up against poke mages like Vel'Koz, Xerath, Ziggs etc.
GLACIAL AUGMENT - Makes your GLP slow stronger!
MAGICAL FOOTWEAR - Free Boots at 12 minutes so you can rush important items instead.
MINION DEMATERIALIZER - You don't need to waste bombs anymore last hitting the cannon minion in the early laning phase
