Who is Garen?
Garen is a 450, so he can get bought early and he is easy to learn, but not so easy to master.
Why?
His weakest point is his that he can get problems to catch the important enemy target. If they get

Protected, but thanks to his Courage he is tanky enough to survive the enemy Damage.

and or
Ignite is the tool you need to combine it with your ult to save your kills.
As Movement spell you can use Flash as well as Ghost, but i think Flash is the better on

Garen, because your Decisive Strike alredy gives you a large speed buff.


is a summoner that is possible for Garen, but i preferre Ignite because it works better with hi ult

these two are just not good on offtanks

With Garen you can play with full tank masteries(0 30 0), and also you can us the complet

damage masterie (21 9 0), but i think (9 21 0) is the best option on him, with that you get the

tankynes you need and a little bit damage as well as a little bit cdr.

I prefer these runes:,because these runes make you tanky and give you some damage.

But these runes are also possibile:,this runes are the offensive choise with them you can bully pretty hard.

When you are Laning against an ad champ you should start:
5x
if you are laning against an ap like Rumble or Singed you can start:
9x 2xsight ward
then you should buy a , you should always have[icon=sight ward

size=50] and 1 or 2
after that you must look if you are tanky enough to buy a , after that

or when you ar still not tanky enough, just build straight for
after that you must decid if you are fed enough to buid ,if you dont buy it then do it after the resitence items , or for you want to build the save way,
if the enemy Ap Carrys are your biggist problem at that time than build , against ad just build
when the enemy starts stacking armor go for when they do that early build the buy it after ,
if they dont buy armor you can build nearly everything, at example , the aktive of this item is pretty good for you because with that you have some damage left after your combo.
Insted of picking that you can also take the tanky item , it works great with the passiv of Courage.
Another tnaky choise would be a second .

In the lane you should wait until you are lvl 2 befor you really trade with your laning enemy,
because your lvl 1 is not the strongest Champions like Gangplank or Darius will kill you because they have there passiv damage, but you can poke a little bit with your Decisive Strike
If you are abel to get lvl 2 befor your enemy attack him with one comb it should get nearly half of
his HP.
At the moment when you are abel to kill a whole wave whit Judgment and you have no big
problem with your lane enemy than farm with it and lat your enemy farm against the turret, dont do
this against Irelia it will only work if she is pretty bad, the problem of farming with Judgment is thats your main Damage tool and with out it you are pretty weak.
If you get ganged and have no ward to see the jungler coming, dont use Decisive Strike just
because you get panic, if the jungler or your lane have a strong slow wait until they just use it becaus slow is % and most of the time you will not get away when you are slowed and have alredy used your [Decisive Strike]].
When you becomne lvl 6 and gain your Demacian Justice than the time for killing has come,
to get a feeling for your ult you should do some free games against a bot and get it, if your enemy

has Heal, or Soraka on ther team use Ignite befor you ult, do be exectly i use Ignite nearly every time together with my ult, but you can also use it afte ur ult if the enemy survive and you dont get an attack on him in another way.

Your job in the Mid-and Lategame is to kill the Ad or Ap carry, you should get the one who is fed,
or in the late game where everybody has there items and not only the one with kills, you should
kill the Ad carry as primary target, dont forget to us Ignite if the Ad carry has strong Lifesteal, after him hunt down the Ap carry, top or jungle depends one who deals more damage, the rest xD.

Dont forget the normal stuff like stay to your team, dont fight in positions where the enemy team can figth better.

Garen gets counterd by:

TrueDamage,because Normal Damage got reduced by his Courage passiv and aktive
Range Harrase: If the enemy is abel to stop your Perseverance from healing, Garen have a
problem
Out speed: if you cant catch your enemy you cant deal damage.........
Dots : dots will let the time to get your passiv back, get so much longer

Your worst lane is:

he will destroy you if he just knows a little bit about his champion, range poke with dot and so
****ing fast


is a hard matchup too becous he will Run away and harasse you for ever, when you get close to
him he will nock you back and run.


She will harras you the whole Laning phase and when you attack he she will stun you and go
away


Poke poke poke .........very enoying lane, but you can do something, wait for her cooldowns


Garen can handel him but its hard, he can stop your Perseverance with his Undertow, he
outdamage you in long traids and but his Reckless Swing hurts so hard, buy life and give him a q e

comb whenever he gives you his truedamage.

When I talk about lanes I always mean lanes who dont get camped........,you can counter as hard as you want, the jungler can destroy your lane.


easy lane just use Courage when he jumps at you and try to silince him when he uae Warrior Trickster after his Crushing Blow and Nimbus Strike, just run after him, to his tower silence him when he appears and yous your combination, you outdamage him early, but his ult is pretty disgusting when its combinet whit a gang.
You should win this lane.


Farm farm and farm, if you wanne kill him good luck it shouldnt work, even with armor pen runen and The Brutalizer he should have so much armor from his runes and his Brutal Strikes that you will deal nearly no damage to him.
Even lane he shouldnt be able to kill you and you cant kill him too,
Just wait for the jungler and FARM.


Isnt the hardest lane, his biggest problem is that he can only trade well with his ability, just like you and you have nearly the same cd like you. If he jumps at you use Courage and Judgment normaly he will stun you after his Slice and Dice and use Cull the Meek the problem for him is that your Judgment ignors stuns you will not stop spinning, and the pain for Renekton is that if he cast his whole combi his cast animations are so lang that he take more than the half of your skill.
The only thing thats a pain on Renekton is his ulti, it can counters yours so hard when it has a perfekt timing.
You should be able to win this just dont dive him.
