Hey Guys-
This is Hasdrubal with my first LoL guide, and I decided to do a champ that I have had much success with in the solo top role: Garen

Teleport in my opinion is one of the must-haves for a solo top. It allows you to make a quick back for some items and then return almost immediately to farm or jump into a teamfight or even countergank.

Flash is an amazing skill on Garen, because it allows him to initiate with an opponent and also gives an extra escape option if your W+Q combo doesn't get you out.

Basically, I build Garen VERY health-heavy, because as of late, champions that deal true damage (Darius, Olaf, Cho'Gath) have been very popular in the top lane, and the only way to beat true damage is by stacking massive amounts of health. The combination of health and armor allows Garen to fulfill the role of a very tanky offtank, letting him initiate fights even when the team's "true" tank isn't there.

I know this guide is really, REALLY barebones, but I am in the middle of finals right now and just wanted to try and get a guide out there while I had a little down time. I will be coming back to this once my winter break starts, and it will be much better with all of the constructive criticisms I'm sure you all will have. Thanks!
