Champion Build Guide

Hard Carry Nasus

By Champ Nasus
Introduction
Hi. I've been maining Nasus for a few years now, I thought I would share the build I commonly use and how I play him. GLHF!
Playing Nasus
The first thing you need to play Nasus: patience. You will not be able to fight your enemy laner until you have around 100 stacks and a sheen, at LEAST. You also need to be patient with your team. Very often your laner will push you into your turret all game, and your jungler will not help you at all. THIS IS COMPLETELY OK. If you camp turret and just farm, and don't give the enemy any kills, you have only slightly lost lane. This is extremely easy to come back from on Nasus with just a small amount of farm. If your jungler isn't ganking you, he (should be) is ganking the other two lanes, making the game easier on your team as a whole. PATIENCE IS KEY.

Another thing to remember about Nasus is he's good at playing mind games. Once you have 500 stacks and your core build, you're a pretty sizable threat. When you walk into the enemy team with your team behind you, the enemy has 2 options: Throw all their CC at you to prevent you from getting to the backline and decimating them, giving your team a prime opportunity to engage, or use their CC on your team and just let you walk into their backline and decimate them. Similar logic can be used for split pushing. If you're ahead, and dragon is being contested, go top. One of a few things is gonna happen: They send one guy for you, giving the rest of your team a fair fight while you decimate that guy and probably take a turret or two; They send 2 or more guys, which gives your team an advantage and most likley a free dragon, and possibly some kills/turrets if you play good; or they send their entire team at you and you just get a completely free dragon. Many new Nasus players don't realize this: You have a lot of power when you play Nasus, but the difference between a good and a bad Nasus player is how you apply that power to the game.
Building
This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. When you are building your core items, do not go straight for one or the other. Instead, buy sheen, glacial shroud, and kindlegem. With these three items, combined with your runes, you should have 40% cdr, for only 2750 gold. CDR is your BEST STAT. With 45% CDR, your q has a 1 second cooldown in ult, and your w only has a 2 second downtime at max rank. From there, finish those three items off. Usually you go triforce righteous spear, but you might need to change that order up depending on the matchup. After that, just build situational.
