Introduction

Hello everyone! My name is TDIDiamond and I play on EUNE, I ended silver in S6, finished Gold 2 S7 and am currently in high plat. I'm making this guide to show people what Warwick can do and his strengths/weaknesses

Pros / Cons

+ Healthy clears - No reliable escape
+ Long range engage - Grevious wounds hurt you
+ Semi Tanky - Infinite Duress can be dodged
+ Great objective control - Ganks not as good pre-6
+ Amazing map pressure - Falls off late game
Your long range engage with Infinite Duress is really good for locking down a certain champion from far away.
Blood Hunt gives you global map pressure and amazing objective control thanks to the bonus attack speed you get from it.
With Jaws of the Beast and Eternal Hunger you have very healthy clears, so you can gank more often
After using Infinite Duress there is no way you can get out of fights. You either kill the target or you die, simple as that.
Since all of your sustain is based off healing Ignite, Mortal Reminder and Executioner's Calling will hurt you, badly.
Your Infinite Duress can easily secure a kill if you land it, problem is if you don't. If you miss your target in a big team its a death sentence because you have no escapes.

Runes

From my personal preference I take the precision tree because it provides more for warwick then domination.


Press the Attack vs Lethal Tempo vs Fleet Footwork

Press the Attack wins in most situations due to the fact it can proc off your Infinite Duress alone, its great for 1v1's and the exposure damage helps taking out the targets you ulted on. Lethal Tempo can also be viable but Press the Attack is better in most cases. Fleet Footwork is completely useless.


Overheal vs Triumph vs Presence of Mind

I take Triumph here because the other options aren't as good. You could try taking Overheal like I used to but I found triumph to work better for me. Presence of Mind is totally useless and should never be taken.


Legend: Alacrity vs Legend: Tenacity vs Legend: Bloodline

I take Legend: Alacrity here due to Warwicks snowball playstyle allowing him to boost his attack speed along side his Blood Hunt bonus further increasing the early game lethality.
Legend: Tenacity is also very viable and should be taken if the enemy has a lot of cc, Legend: Bloodline isn't as good as the other 2 options from my testing.


Coup de Grace vs Cut Down vs Last Stand
I take Coup de Grace here because of the bonus damage on low health champions making it easier to finish off fleeing targets. It has about 3x the strength of merciless and its very good overall. Cut Down I wouldn't recommend because warwick is a tanky champion himself so the bonus wont be that impactful. Last Stand is good for that low health cheese with Eternal Hunger but besides that Coup de Grace is a better option overall.


For the secondary tree I took sorcery due to the impact it has for junglers.

In the sorcery tree I took Celerity and Waterwalking. Celerity allows you to get a significant damage boost just from your Blood Hunt alone (over 20AD while chasing low health targets) and it also boosts your already high movement speed. Waterwalking is really good for map rotations, synergizes with Celerity and since most fights break out in the river anyway, the adaptive bonus never hurts.

Items

We rush this asap, if you have the 1050 gold required to get it back instantly and aquire the item. It helps with clears A LOT, you can clear chickens, krugs and wolves a lot safer and healthier, it gives you added damage in ganks and overall is an amazing item to get. Get this before Skirmisher's Sabre
We take this over Stalker's Blade Because it is almost always better, it helps during 1v1's, serves as a mini ignite in ganks and it provides a lot more to warwick then blue smite does.
We take Skirmisher's Sabre - Cinderhulk over Skirmisher's Sabre - Bloodrazor because it provides you with the health required to keep you alive in teamfights, tower dives etc. and it synergizes well with Titanic Hydra. Skirmisher's Sabre - Bloodrazor provides you with more damage, sure, but it makes you a lot squishier in the process.
For the next item we will take Titanic Hydra because it increases your burst damage, gives you more health, attack damage and health regen. All of these stats benefit warwick greatly. Also because we built Tiamat earlier the crafting cost is reduced so we can get it quicker then other items.
Spirit Visage increases healing from all sources by 30%, but it gives you magic resist. I would recommend taking this item when you need the added mr, if there are more AD then AP champions on the enemy team or the AP champions are behind, you are better off taking armor.
The alternative to Spirit Visage. It gives you out of combat movement speed that benefits Infinite Duress and further increases the effectiveness of Blood Hunt. It also gives you 200 bonus damage and a minor slow when all momentum is discharged. Take this when you need the armor more then you need mr.
An aggressive item that gives you bonus AD, CDR and MR. The passive provides you with a hefty magic shield that can take a big hit. Take this if you are fed and are scared of enemy AP mages/assassins.
This item is amazing if you got a solid early lead and want to snowball further. Its the most expensive item you could get, but its damn worth it. If you are not that fed I would recommend taking some tank items over this simply for the increased survivability.
Pretty straight forward, you get caught out in a teamfight, miss your ult, get focused on by assassins/carries, this gives you a get out of jail free card if your team is nearby.

Jungle Clear

RED SIDE CLEAR



BLUE SIDE CLEAR



You should always start the buff that is located on the bottom, depending on where you start (blue side is red buff, red side is blue buff). It helps your clear speed and makes it more healthy.

Doing a full clear is ill advised for Warwick, without Tiamat, chickens and krugs will hurt, a lot.

LEVEL 3 CLEAR GUIDE


Take Jaws of the Beast lvl 1. Start attacking the buff, after you take 2 hits use your Jaws of the Beast so you get the most out of the healing part of it. After that proceed to aa the buff and use Jaws of the Beast whenever you can until its dead.

Take Blood Hunt lvl 2. With wolves, start attacking one of the smaller ones, use Jaws of the Beast on it instantly then keep focusing that one. Once your Jaws of the Beast is off cooldown use it on the big wolf while you finish off one of the smaller ones with the autoattack. Proceed to focus the other smaller wolf until its dead then finish off the big one with the same technique.

Finish off the other buff then proceed to the river, be sure to smite it earlier for Blood Hunt passive bonus to activate sooner.

After that take the rift scuttler, put a level into Primal Howl and start looking for a level 3 gank.

You max Blood Hunt over Jaws of the Beast because maxing Q doesn't provide a lot of a damage except it provides a greater heal, W max makes your map pressure even more insane then it already is, and it helps with securing objectives/low health enemy kills.
After that you max Jaws of the Beast due to the bonus % heal it provides and the slight damage boost it gives.
We max Primal Howl last since it provides the least to warwick compared to the other 2 options to max.
Get Infinite Duress every time you get the opportunity to do so (6,11,16)

Summoner Spells


This is a choice of preference. I personally take Flash to close the gap on someone that is running away and/or flash away to save my life. Ghost is good as well since it benefits chase potential and gives you more range for Infinite Duress and has a shorter cooldown, but I prefer Flash.

Smite is a must have because you are a jungler (duh)
