Introduction
You will have to get used to juggling axes with a slower attack speed, but these runes will give you immense pressure level 1. Making sure you "2 axe" into lane is vital to your success and is something I will cover later into this guide. Running 2 armor pen maximizes your damage at level 1 and helps last hit.
These are the typical masteries you will use for Draven. You can swap out double edged sword for feast if you want more sustain in lane. The armor pen is really strong on draven. Unfortunately since the nerf to fervor made it really hard to utilize. Trade three autos at a time to proc thunderlords.

On spawn, buy a Doran's Blade and potion. Your buildpath will be Youmuu's Ghostblade, Bloodthirster, Blade of the Ruined King, Lord Dominik's Regards, and Mercurial Scimitar. It is up to you when you want to buy boots, I highly recommend Berserker's Greaves. You want 1250g on your first back to pick up your Serrated Dirk and a potion. Serrated Dirk gives you armor pen and damage, allowing you to trade easily and cs. After every minion kill, use the Serrated Dirk passive and look for an auto trade with their adc. First item is Youmuu's Ghostblade. Youmuu's Ghostblade gives draven everything, Damage, Arm pen, Movespeed, Attack speed. It is an all around great item to build and it will help you outduel any adc you are against. After Youmuu's Ghostblade you will want to pick up Bloodthirster. The lifesteal along with your bonus Spinning Axe damage will allow you to heal around 120-140 hp per hit. This is very useful when dealing with high poke/sustain lanes and dueling. After Bloodthirster I pick up a Blade of the Ruined King. While it sounds strange, Blade of the Ruined King actually helps draven deal with a lot of high hp/high threat tanks that would otherwise crowd control him. Champions like or . The armor pen from Youmuu's Ghostblade also makes the passive damage from Blade of the Ruined King hit a lot harder. After this, you want to either pick up Lord Dominik's Regards or a Quicksilver Sash if you need one. If you notice, this build does not include crit chance. As you don't need it. Draven can rely on Spinning Axe damage and the Blood Rush steroid to dps. This build ends with 42% lifesteal and 420-430 AD with red pot. You will be hitting tanks for around 700 and carries for 800-9. This means, you will still dps as much as any other or ADC but you will be unkillable by items such as Thornmail. This build is not recommended for new Draven players and requires high apm to juggle axes and all 3 active items. I will include an axe juggling video and it is highly recommended that you master that before giving this build a try. This build provides dps, sustain, safety, teamfighting and everything else you would need
Spinning Axe is the most important ability and will make or break
. Pick up a point in it at level 1 and max it by level 9. Your priority should be R>Q>W>E. Your Stand Aside will be the last thing to max but you should have a point in it by level 3.
Written Guide: When you are ready to bounce your axe. Auto the intended target, and then run in the direction you want your axe to go. Rinse and repeat. Auto and move. Wherever you want the axes to go, that is the direction you want to walk after throwing your auto.
Written Guide: When you have two axes, auto your intended target and run backwards. That will bounce your axe backwards. If you run straight, you will catch it and refresh Blood Rush and allow you to auto again. Rinse and repeat.
Pros: High DPS, Great lane pressure, easy cs, high burst, high sustain
Cons: Easy to focus, Hard to master, CC makes axes hard to catch
The cons are really impactful to dravens gameplay, however if you learn to work around the cons and play draven aggressive while being mindful of cc, you should thrive and climb the soloq ranks.

Stand Aside is a very useful tool and is often underutilized. You can use it to cancel various abilities like Zenith Blade and Elastic Slingshot if timed properly.

The most important thing about playing ranked. DO. NOT. FLAME. TEAMMATES. Your teammates are your teammates and they are bound to play horribly in your mind. You can only encourage them to play better. Flaming leads to worse play. If you want to win, play well and encourage your team. In addition to keeping your teammates positive, you should focus more on objectives such as towers and dragons instead of kills. Draven is very campable and you will often find yourself dying multiple times in lane to return ganks. To stop this, always keep your river warded and ward your lane as much as you can. Knowing your powerspikes, which come at Youmuu's Ghostblade, Bloodthirster and Blade of the Ruined King will help you decide when to seige and group for objectives. Also don't forget your active items!!
I hope that this guide helps you grow as a draven player and climb elo. Leave any comments (negative or positive) below. Thank you for taking the time to read this gudie and I apologize for it being not entirely gramatically correct.
