Hello everyone my name is CAzobie and I started playing League of Legends just around the time of Diana and Rengar I quickly became addicted and mained in the roll of AP Mid. I thought i was the best because of how super OP Diana was when she first came out so i carried on in the middle lane. This is my first Guide so feel free to help me in any way that you can, this is merely a first draft of this Lissandra guide.

Playing in the mid lane i found that there werent really any good lissandras and i still havent seen a solid build guide, so i took the challenge to get her and show everyone how strong she really is, I am by no means pro with her yet but i feel like i do a good job of showing her power. In this guide i hope to open up different builds so people can have as much fun with this champion as i do. Lissandra is pretty hard to play with her high cool downs, big mana costs and difficult laning phase. I will go over each of these problems and show you how to compensate them in this guide as best I can.

These are pretty standard runes for an AP champion. I really like the bonus armor and magic resist for that little bit of sustain in lane, once you survive the laning phase you should be set for the rest of the game. And of course magic penetration marks with Ability Power quintessences

Best Items on Lissandra

take 2 of these at first for the great mana regen and for a quick build into Chalice of Harmony
Get these as soon as possible for bonus movement speed and CDR
Take this if your lane opponent is an AP champion
Grab this if you are against an AD heavy team or an AD champ in lane seeing as they will probably have lifesteal
This is absolutely necessary on Lissandra because she is all about a safe engage.
Ridiculous on any AP champion HUGE AP
Pick this up for the AP and the Magic pen because you dont have any penetration besides the Magic pen marks
This is an amazing item on lissandra, you have to be really close to get your abilities off so the aura will always be helping you, no to mention the huge magic resist and good amount of AP

As lissandra you are a high burst mage with high mobility but very long cool downs. I take Ice Shard at level one and max it first because it is your harass skill in lane, the cast range on this is very small but if you get it to hit something it shatters and goes twice as far, position yourself so that you can hit a minion and the shatter will hit your lane opponent. If you master this skill you will be able to harass with ease until they are low enough for your full combo for the kill. Second i max Glacial Path as i find its more useful than Ring of Frost the only problem with this is that it is a skill that is rather hard to hit and missing it takes away so much damage from your burst. take your ult whenever you can because it deals massive damage giving you either hard cc or a free Zhonya's Hourglass. I can't tell you how close to useless lissandra is when her E is on cool down you cant even get close enough for an Ice Shard or to root them in place with your Ring of Frost If any of you have played enough of lissandra I'm sure you can relate.

This is the hardest part of playing lissandra for me because I like to be very aggressive in lane but i just couldn't do it always being OOM. It took me a while but i finally figured out how to have a successful laning phase as Lissandra. First off you want to have all 3 skills by level 3 so that your jungler can give you a good gank and get you ahead in the lane. Second you NEED to learn how to harass with your Ice Shard once you figure that out you can widdle down your opponent until you can get the kill with your full combo or force them out of lane, if you cant learn this skill then you wont have much kill potential until you have your ult at level 6. Third, never EVER harass your opponent with Glacial Path because of the massive cool down on it at early levels, you always want it up so you can synergize with your jungler by using it into your Ring of Frost for an easy kill or vice versa getting out of sticky situations when you fall behind or you get ganked. Follow these 3 simple rules and you should have a pretty easy landing phase.

At first I hated lissandra because I just couldn't get anything out of her, then I figured out how to work her magic (no pun intended) in team fights. Team fights are where Lissandra shines brightest, her engage is INSANE!!!! What you want to do is use your Glacial Path into the middle of the entire team and then root them all in place with your Ring of Frost, once they are free they are gonna go straight at you, which is when you either Frozen Tomb yourself or use your Zhonya's Hourglass depending on the situation. By that time your team shouldve been able to follow up on your perfect engage and you can use your remaining spells to focus down the squishes. So your goal in a teamfight is to engage and CC as many people as possible Play Video Watch in this video as I engage on the enemy team, the fiddlesticks ult is nearly wasted and the lux misses her ult but we are able to turn the fight around thanks to lissandra's team fight power and a good followup from the team. I was only able to pull this off with max CDR and Zhonyas hourglass, i was invulnerable for about 4 whole seconds and barely escaped
