Masteries
Just an ability power tree with a bit of survivability.
Runes
Seals: hp/lvl or armor seals
Glyphs: magic resist
Quints: flat ap
Skills
combo order before lvl 6:
Mage Chains -> Arcanopulse -> Arcanopulse -> Locus of Power (when running away) -> Mage Chains or Arcanopulse (if you are certain you will hit him)
Combo order at/after lvl6:
Mage chains -> Arcane Barrage(x3) (much easier to hit enemies then arcanopulse) -> Arcanopulse -> Locus of Power (when running away) -> Mage Chains or Arcanopulse
Teamfights
When teamfights occur don't stand in the middle of it.. use this combo:
Locus of power -> Mage Chains -> Arcane Barrage x3 -> Arcanopulse
or
Mage chains -> Arcane Barrage x3 -> Arcanopulse
Tip
If you manage to stun him spam your arcanopulse.
Item build
At the start of the game
7 hp pots, 1 mp pot, 2 sight wards then go for sorcerer shoes and morellonomicon for the cdr
Mid game/endgame
Mid game go for your deathcap, voidstaff, abyssal scepter and zhonya's
