Threats & Synergies
Bane of your existance in lane. Like all mage supports your ult doesn't do much to her. Strong poke which turns crazy if she mantras her Q. Her shield gives move speed for escpaing and if you dive her she can W you and you have to get away or else get rooted.
Blitz can't escape you. Your movespeed from W will beat his W and he just sucks in extended fights. Also if you're a god you can pillar an ally getting pulled by him to stop them from getting pulled all the way in
Thresh is always a threat when you play support. His range makes him annoying but you can take his tank stats. If you're really good(not me) you can interupt thresh dashes to his hooked targets with your E. Good luck
Lulu is a pain in the ass. Mage support with poke so that sucks, plus her shield and ult keep her adc super safe. Plus fuck polymorph.
Yeah uh channeled ult where you have to sit still. Pillar to the face can cancel that. No mobility but she is fast so you cant get past the pillar easy
Channeled ult again. Cancel it. Adc with no mobility besides when he crits
You see sion support or sion overall you lock trundle in and have fun. Let's name why you're so good against him. Your pillar can not only stop his q channel but also his ult since he stops on terrain. He gets more health from his w passive so your ult takes even more from him. He's a tank support without much good initiation save his ult but you got that covered. This is all you could want in a lane opponent, great tank stats for your ult, no hard engage that you have to peel off, and you counter him.
So supports hate fighting Sivir because of her spellshield. Trundle goes "Time To Troll!" because you can't spellshield a pillar. You slow and displace her, but it doesn't consume her spellshield and give her mana. Let her poke you and get no mana back from her spellshield and call your jungler for a nice gank when she is drained.
-Trundle provides a crazy amount of tank from his Kings Tribute passive Subjugate Ult and Frozen Domain W
-Restriction of enemy escape options with Pillar of Ice E and the ability to cancel channels with displacement
-Dueling potential while still being a tank support with Chomp Q and W
-Incredibly safe lanning phase with huge sustain from passive
-Can shred towers with W and Q
-Turning enemy tanks into squishies and you into a mega tank with your ult
-Melee support issues like getting poked
-No hard CC save the displacment from landing the E on someone
-The aftershock can be hard to get if you don't have practice with your E
-While sure W lets you chase, you dont really have a great engage
When to Pick Trundle
-When the enemy team has 1 tank
-when the enemy team has a Malphite,Rammus,Sejuani
-When the enemy team has a Sion
Mid game you can make good roams when your adc is backed if you have a mid laner with some cc. don't w too early or they will see the ice before you show yourself and you blew the gank. At this point you also have some points into your W and with demolish you can be a split push threat (also with iceborn).
Late game when teamfights start you pick out their tank and go "hey you let me take your stats" and ult him. Thats the go sign for you team to dive the tank since they lost most of their tank stats. You engage with the w, pillar off the squishies and chase them down. You also now have a maxed W and can really put the hurt in on towers. If you're not doing anything always try and split push since most supports don't have that capability. You're Trundle you're not like other supports.
