Introduction
For the Pros and Cons here, I will split them between Shadow Assassin and Rhaast
Shadow Assassin
Pros
- High burst damage
- High mobility
- Great camp clear
- Lockdown Mages, ADCs, and other squishy targets
- Able to move during W
Cons
- Squishy
- Sustainability issues
- Tank combat issues
- Can't switch forms after choosing
My personal favorite form because im partial to assassin junglers, You can glide through terrain longer and it makes it easier to shut down adcs in the back line of team fights but when it comes to actually teamfighting he will be destroyed. They will target you instantly do to your burst capability.
Rhaast
Pros
- Insane damage with max health percents
- W Knock up
- Q W R abilities heal
- Can actually stay in team fights
Cons
- Oddly enough takes a lot longer to kill ADCs and Mages
- Low mobility
- Can't transform out of this form
- E doesn't give tenacity or extra movement speed
Rhaast is the most used form in my opinion and probably the one you will be in most of the time. He heals for all his abilities, can sustain in teamfights, and does max health percent damage. He destroys tanks and is generally a menace. Hes alot slower than his counterpoint and against ADCs he doesnt do near the amount he would as shadow assassin.
That being said:
Shadow Assassin
Ghostblade is the next immediate item . Its broken and rounds off your cooldown reduction and combined with your E or bush prowling it detonates targets or Edge of Night. Same damage and survivability as well to help with fast ganking and escapes.
Deaths Dance works exceptionally well on your abilities.
Seryldas Grudge is a great ending item due to the armor pen bugg and the slow or finish with a standard Guardian Angel
Dont forget the boots you need to suit the situation.
Rhaast
Given that Rhaast's main goal is tank hunting, I would start with the blue smite still but first item into Gore Drinker.
Black Clever and Ravenous Hydra are good staples on Rhaast, shred armor and get more health back.
Sterack's Gage is a decent item to end Rhaast on. The health buff and base AD boost will help in late game heavy team fights. Just remember Maw's and Sterack's passives dont stack but rather work almost in tandem, just no stacking shields.
Dont forget the boots that suit the situation
