Early game Braum is not very strong so you should wait until you have your Blade of the Ruined King completed before you really engage unless you are 100% confident you can secure the kill. If you are being bullied out of your lane you will have a tough time just try not to die too much early game or dueling your lane later in the game will be more difficult for you. If your lane opponent is not pressuring you as much just farm up for Blade of the Ruined King then duel them.

Mid game Braum really starts to pop off so if your team isn't doing that well then it is best that you split push if you think that you can't do much as a team. If your team is doing well then try to find picks and try to just protect the carry. Late game Braum falls off so if you can win early then do it because you will not be as strong as you were.
