Introduction

Enough chat, lets get onto the guide. This is my first guide on here so please tell me what I might be doing wrong and give me all of the feedback you have. Thank you!
◊ Easy jungle clearing ◊ Quick jungle kills ◊ Insane burst damage ◊ Easy snowballing ◊ Can be able to one-shot ◊ Stealth ignores most wards Overall her pros outweigh her cons. She is extremely strong late game and her stealth will allow you to move around pretty much anywhere without being detected unless you get too close to enemies or towers. ![]() ![]() |
◊ Very weak early game ◊ Almost always a jungler ◊ Can't really gank before lvl6 ◊ Extremely squishy Because of her cons, she is pretty hard to play in early game but it is possible. I suggest you stick to farming for the first bit of the match and then you can begin ganking at level six. If you gank before six there's a pretty high chance of your death and a failed gank. |

For
Evelynn, I like to go with Domination and Precision as my paths of choice.
From the Domination path I go with:
Electrocute: For the extra adaptive damage when hitting an opponent three times within three seconds. It helps a bunch with ganks.
Sudden Impact: For the extra burst damage when using
Last Caress. It does a bunch more damage and pretty much ensures the kill on anyone around with around a corner of their health remaining.
Eyeball Collection: For the extra damage per champion or ward takedown. It helps a lot in the later game with destroying enemy champions or defending your nexus.
Relentless Hunter: For the extra out of combat movement speed from unique champion takedowns. It helps chase down your enemies in ganking or late-game chasing in team fights.
And from the Precision path I go with:
Coup de Grace: Helps a lot with taking down champions as the lower they get the more damage they take. It also helps with the 10s of extra AD/AP from champion takedowns.
Legend: Tenacity: Helps a whole lot when dealing with CC in team fights. It allows you to get out quicker and be able to run away in a sticky situation.

And from the Precision path I go with:

Her passive is
Demon Shade.
Evelynn gains
Demon Shade after being out of combat for 1.5 seconds. While below 250-590 (based on level) health,
Evelynn restores 15-75 (based on level) health every second. From level 6 onward
Demon Shade also grants camouflage (stealth).
Her Q is
Hate Spike.
Evelynn flourishes her lashers, launching a dart in the target direction dealing magic damage to the first enemy hit. Hitting a monster refunds 60% of the cooldown. For the next 4 seconds the enemy takes bonus magic damage from her next 3 basic attacks or abilities.
Hate Spike may be re-activated up to 3 times until the ability comes off of cooldown at no cost, but instead of the regular
Hate Spike
Evelynn projects a line of spikes in the direction of her attack target, dealing magic damage to all enemies struck.
Hate Spike will prioritize the nearest enemy if she does not have an attack target.
Her W is
Allure.
Evelynn curses the target champion or monster for 5 seconds.
Evelynn's next basic attack or ability against the accursed expunges them, slowing them by 65%, as well as refunding Allure's mana cost if she triggers this versus a monster or before 2.5 seconds. If the target is cursed for at least 2.5 seconds, she charms the target, as well as applying additional effects based on the target type. Against champions reduces their magic resistance for 4 seconds. Against monsters, the charm's duration is increased by 2 seconds and they take bonus magic damage.
Her E is
Whiplash.
Evelynn whips the target enemy with her lashers, applying on-hit effects, dealing magic damage, and gaining 30% bonus movement speed for 2 seconds. The percent health ratio deals a minimum of 25 damage. Gaining
Demon Shade resets
Whiplash's cooldown and empowers the next cast. When empowered,
Evelynn dashes toward the target enemy, dealing increased damage as well as damaging all enemies she passes through. On-hit effects are only applied to her target.
Her R is
Last Caress.
Evelynn becomes untargetable as she reveals her true form to all enemies in front of her, before blinking back 725 units. Enemies caught in her reveal are devastated, taking magic damage, which is doubled versus enemies below 30% of their maximum health.

When ganking you should flank the enemy as best you can and come up behind them if they've made the mistake of pushing too far. For spells, you should first use
Allure to curse the target. When they are cursed, you can use any attack (preferably
Hate Spike) to deal extra damage and charm your opponent into walking towards you. After you do the first combo, I suggest starting with
Whiplash as it has the shortest range and will be of most use as your first attack, then going into a
Hate Spike and fully utilizing the 3 re-casts at range to help deal more damage. All this is happening while your ally/allies is/are helping you and pretty much ensures the kill.
Early game, the best place to gank is top, as there is usually only one enemy there and it is easy to flank them. Late game, you can try mid and bot, but they will be harder so prepare for a bit more of a challenge.

In team fights with
Evelynn I generally stay back a bit and maybe try to hit a couple
Hate Spikes on lower health enemies. Being squishy,
Evelynn can't really join the fray as much as other tankier champions like
Garen or
Cho'Gath. If you see any stragglers split from the group to recall or heal then I suggest following them under the cover of
Demon Shade and grabbing the free kill. If the team fight has turned into a 4v2 or a 4v3 with your team outnumbering the enemies, they should be running and then you can join the fray and pick them off one by one with your team.

Overall, I really enjoy playing
Evelynn and I hope you will too. She has a bit of a learning curve but is really fun to play even if you're losing.
