Hey, everyone! My name is Summer, although you can call me Cersai, that is my summoner name. I've been playing League of Legends for over a year now. I started at the beginning of Season Three. I have to notable titles on the fields of justice, but I have a bit of knowledge, and continue to learn through my experience. Morgana is my favorite champion, and I'd love to see her played more. Hopefully, my guide will inspire others to play her too! For the most part, this guide will be fairly simple, I ask that you remain respectful to me and my build. Comments, Questions and Suggestions are encouraged, as long as you address them appropriately. |

Build
21 points into offense, 9 points into utility.

As the AP Carry, it is essential to put the most points into the offensive section of your masteries. This is a standard masteries setup for any AP Carry. I choose to put the other nine points into my utility section. Morgana is heavily dependant on her abilites and mana. The cooldown reduction and mana regen is very useful. |

Greater Quintessence of Ability Power: my go to quintessences for AP characters. This adds 15AP to the start of your game. I would not suggest any other quintessences.
Greater Mark of Magic Penetration: with 9 of these, you will be starting off with +7.8 magic pen. This is great for early on, and throughout the game, especially when you get your Sorcerer's Shoes.
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: there is a high chance that you will be facing another AP mid, and these provide just the right amount of magic resist for you early game, whether it be from harass, or ganks. With 9 of these, you will be starting off with +12 magic resist.
Greater Seal of Armor: until you are able to get your Zhonya's Hourglass, these are very useful for basic attacks, or any surprising AD mid champions. I like to have 5 of theses, because it gives be +7 armor.
Greater Seal of Mana Regeneration: it may be a bit odd, but I think it's really nice to have some sort of runes for mana regeneration, especially since Morgana is heavily dependent upon her abilities. Having four of these gives me +1.6 mana regeneration every five seconds. It really is better than not having any at all. Although, you can absolutely leave these out of your runes if you feel confident enough with your mana.

A must have spell for Morgana this enables her to escape, or reach an enemy champion. This is also very good for the Flash+ Soul Shackles+ Zhonya's Hourglass combination. |
There is no better way to clean up a 1v1 than with ignite. Take this spell to apply the extra damage to kill and enemy champion. This is especially good against enemies like Swain. |
I like to feel safe in my lane. This provides just the right amount to shield yourself from incoming damage. It's especially good if you're going against enemies like Karthus.

SOUL SIPHON(PASSIVE): This is a really great passive, especially paired with
Morgana's
Tormented Shadow. This grants her 10% bonus spell vamp at level 1, 15% at level 7, and then 20% at level 13. This allows her to stay in lane for long periods of time.
DARK BINDING(Q):
Morgana relies heavily on a dark binding. This snares a target enemy for 2 seconds, and eventually for 3 seconds. This can be a good engage for a gank or team fight, or even a quick escape from an enemy champion. With a bit of practice, you will eventually be able to tell where an enemy will be, and you can project where an enemy will be, and they won't even expect a dark binding!
TORMENTED SOIL(W): This is the key tool to farming with
Morgana. It pairs well with her spell vamp and allows you to successfully clear waves of minions. After you've gained AP items and level up, it can clear creep waves in mere seconds. This also allows you to deny the enemy farm, no one wants to step on that soil.
BLACK SHIELD(E): So, you wanted to play
Blitzcrank? That's a shame, because
Morgana's
Black Shield blocks the hooks. This is so wonderful on
Morgana and makes her a wonderful ally in the game. The
Black Shield blocks all forms of CC. It lasts for up to 5 seconds. You can place this shield on yourself, or an ally. This shield is also very strong against
Volibear,
Thresh,
Annie and so many more.
SOUL SHACKLES(R): Thankfully with the Season 4 patch, you can now see the extent to which your soul shackles will reach while playing
Morgana. With this ult, you're going to have to be in the mix of all the fighting. While ulting, chains latch on to all nearby champions for three seconds, dealing damage and slowing their movement speed by 20%. If the nearby enemies are still tethered after the 3 seconds they are dealt the same amount of magic damage again and also stunned for 1.5 seconds. This ultimate pairs well with
Zhonya's Hourglass. With a lot of practice, you can become a master of the shackles!
Items
Who doesn't love a free ward? This item is a must for the mid lane. It allows you to place a stealth ward for 60 seconds. I would recommend placing them in one of the bushes, in the river, and play safe to one side. But remember, the time is short on the wards, and it takes time to replenish them. I wouldn't recommend spending your money to upgrade them until later on, you can simply buy a ward or two if you need them. However, warding is very useful, especially if you're prone to ganks. |
This is such a strong AP item, and all AP mid's should have this item. It pairs well after you buy your Zhonya's Hourglass, since it increases your AP by 30%, and adds 120 to the total. You're basically going to do all of the damage with this. |
If the enemy team has a lot of Magic Resist, you're going to want this item. I usually choose this item over Abyssal Mask, simply because it adds to your Magical Penetration. The Magic Penetration becomes more effective the more magic resist the enemy target has on them. |
If you didn't buy a Void Staff, you're going to want to buy this item. It has a unique aura that reduces the magic resist of nearby enemies. It also adds AP and magic resist to you. |

Thanks for taking the time to read this guide! This is my very first guide, so expect some changes, updates, and everything for Season 4! If you have any suggestions yourself, or would like me to go more in depth, please suggest! I too am learning to better myself as a player, but I certainly hope I helped you grasp a basic idea of our Fallen Angel.
