Introduction

Hello everyone, I'm Yoshiking123. I ended Season 7 at Plat 4 and currently am Diamond 5 in Pre-Season 8.

I've been a Support main for a few years now and I've used Mobafire to make a Supporting 101 Guide that is HEAVILY outdated and now archived as I felt it was too much information crammed into 1 page that NOBODY wanted to read.

With that being said, I'm only going to go into the early game with Nami. Post-early game it's pretty standard what you do: if you're behind with hyper-carries just farm, don't face-check into assassins, etc...

Anyways, let's get to it!

Early Game/Laning

Goals

Cyber bully (figuratively) the enemy Bot laners and make them AFK.
Light up the Botside of the map with wards so that it's like Christmas.

If you can't do the above I guess just wait for Late game and hope the enemy team makes a mistake or that someone else carries.

Important Note On Summoner Spells

can be swapped out for . It depends on what you're more comfortable with and if they have an assassin. I tend to stick with in case we go to the Late game but has found me many early kills.

Important Milestones

Level 2 is huge. Attempt to get it first. Even if you don't, most match-ups will favor you and you should be able to trade. Make sure to put your E, Tidecaller's Blessing, on yourself so that you can proc Font of Life for your ADC. Optimize your bounces off of Ebb and Flow to maximize it's effectiveness.
Level 3 is also huge. Use your E to maximize the chance that you land Q, Aqua Prison. Otherwise you can initiate with Q if you can land it. You should still be able to out-trade almost anyone.
Level 6 is where you can all-in.

Other Notes

You still max your W, Ebb and Flow.
Taking E 2nd will allow you and your ADC to do massive damage and it's a guaranteed Impairment to proc Font of Life. However, Q may be better in some match-ups where you need CC to keep your ADC safe (like against a Leona).
Keep in mind you're squishy. Don't get to greedy and kill yourself in the process of "securing" a kill.

Warding During Early Game/Laning

Pink areas are where you could/should put a .

Yellow areas are where you could/should put a Ward.

It honestly depends on how far you're pushing up and who the enemy Jungler is playing.
