Hello folks,
My name is Tsjebbe and I wanna learn you more about Master Yi. First of all I wanna excuse me for my bad language skills but I'm not born in an English speaking country.

So okay, the first time I played Yi i was horrible. A guy from my team said to go for the Phantom Dancer build. So my second game with Yi I build 5x Phantom Dancer and Berserker's Greaves. That was kinda fun... But my problem was, that I don't had much a great AD so I started to test some things. And here is my build. I hope you enjoy it.

Note:
This build isn't still ready and I will work on it now and than.

PROS Fantastic ganker Easy fed Bas-*** MS Enormous AS AND AD Well played = absolutely anoying Meditate

CON Lack of armor Lack of health (regen) Lack of mana (regen) Hard to get a ranger/mager down Easy victim in early game

OFFENSE

It is really usefull when your AS and AD are high in early game, so max Fury and deadlines out, they will give you that lil bit more power to survive early game. Also take Weapon Expertise , i do not need to explain this.

DEFENSE

In this tree I concentrate me on the health, armor, and magic resist. This because my items and runes have a lack on this three and you absolutely need it.

As I said this build isn't still complete. And so far I didn't look to the runes. I copied the runes from another build. But I will work on it in the future.

Ok, now can I realy start:










When to get Berserker's Greaves
99% of the time these should be your boots of choice. The AS is absolutely needed in early game. When you got these it is possible to hit the enemy two times instead of one time what is absolutely usefull and good for winning the lane.

When to get Ninja Tabi
The other 1% of the time, when the team is AD heavy or you are laning against champions who uses ranged (when you are facing champions like Darius or Ashe) you will choose Ninja Tabi.













I think this is one of the best items you can get, it isn't realy needed. The 70 AD and Passive is realy nice. But it is optional. Mostly when you got the money to get this the game is normaly going realy good and you just need it to make you killscore reaching to the sky!
But you never now, other viable options are:


DEFENSE

Fantastic HR and the 1000 health makes you tanky enough when you are facing a (fed) Darius or Volibear. When you get Warmog's Armor better take 2x Phantom Dancer and Atma's Impaler.

Normally you are strong enough to get someone down before they kill you. But sometimes health isn't enough. You should take this item when you are facing champs who have a lot of AP damage or a high AS, like Teemo or Katarina

OFFENSE

Well, I dont realy like this item. When you wanna have it, buy it in early/mid game. When you get it in late game you will be kick-***ed.

I think this is standing on one line with Bloodthirster The Passive is really usefull and in some situation better than Bloodthirster. I don't need to tell you this but you will only buy it when you are facing people with lots of Armor. Same story with Last Whisper, but I do not like it in this build.

Yi needs to farm a lot in early game. Use Wuju Style for this but try to always have more than 1/2 of your mana. Use Alpha Strike to harass the enemy. When you are level 6 use it to take a closer look at your enemy and break them with Highlander.

TIP:

When you see someone from the enemy is leaving your lane try to catch him by first using Highlander (R) and when you are close enough using Alpha Strike.
