Introduction
Since I have been playing League of Legends i shuffled between a lot of champions in the beginning until I found Fiddlesticks. I didn't play as another champion for a good while i liked being him so much. He still remains my favorite and most played champion.

Dread
: Passive
Nearby enemy champions have their Magic Resistance reduced by 10.
Explanation: Great Passive, especially early - mid game. A lot of champions will build MR when laning against you, so this extra 10 MP helps out. Watch out though, if your going in for a gank and your waiting in the brush, the enemy can see your debuff.
Terrify
: Q
Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11
Cost: 65 / 75 / 85 / 95 / 105
Range: 575
Strikes a target unit with fear, preventing it from taking any actions and causing it to run about aimlessly for 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds
Explanation: An amazing CC. So many times right before a team fight, an enemy champion will over extend, Fiddle will fear them and your team will initiate and take an enemy member out immediately. Very useful for pretty much any situation.
Drain
: W
Cooldown: 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6
Cost: 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120
Range: 475
Fiddlesticks channels and leashses to a target for 5 seconds, dealing 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 /180(+45% of ability power) magic damage each second and healing himself for 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 % of the damage done. If the target leaves the range of Fiddlesticks' leash, he will stop channeling.
Explanation: Drain will be your most important spell next to
Crowstorm. This spell should get you at least one kill if you know how to use it. Knowing when to Drain can take some practice. Your Drain can be sometimes under powered when its not leveled all the way to 5, so be mindful of this. Use it sparingly Early game, as it sucks your Mana just as effective as enemy health. After an enemy over extends, you fear them, and simply drain them to death. Consider before this if the enemy champion has a silence, for example,
Talon and
Annie are just a few mid laners who can silence, and kill Fiddle with ease. Also, when you are draining an enemy that has an ability that makes them invisible (For example, Akali's
Twilight Shroud), Keep draining! Fiddle will continue to
Bountiful Harvest them even if they are invisible. This includes Leblanc's
Mirror Image and Wukong's
Warrior Trickster. Always remember, Watch out for
Ignite early game when draining!
Dark Wind
:E
Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11
Cost: 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 / 130
Range: 750
Fiddlesticks throws a crow that strikes an enemy target, then continues to bounce from that enemy unit t another nearby enemy unit 5 times, dealing 65 / 85 / 105 / 125 / 145 (+45% of ability power) per bounce in magic damage and silencing for 1.2 seconds each strike. Dark Wind may strike the same target multiple times. Deals 50% increased damage to minions.
Explanation: Great harass as it does a lot of damage early game. as previously stated, its also great at defending against an invade, 4 or 5 enemy champions bunched close together? what better place to use your
Reap and have it bounce off of each one, dealing Tons of damage.
Reap can also be used to farm as well, but takes a little getting used to to use it effectively.
Crowstorm
:R
Cooldown: 150 / 140 / 130
Cost: 150 / 200 / 250
Range: 800
Fiddlesticks targets a nearby location and then channels for 1.5 seconds. After the channel, he flashes to the target location with a flock of crows flying wildly around him for 5 seconds, dealing 125 / 225 / 325 (+45% of ability power) magic damage to all enemy units in the area each second.
Explanation: Devastating in team fights, great ganking ability if your jungling and just an overall extremely helpful Ultimate. Using
Crowstorm in conjunction with
Zhonya's Hourglass is an amazing combo. Timing, however, is everything on
Crowstorm. Many times I've missed an opportunity because I timed
Crowstorm wrong. I will have an entire section on how to use
Crowstorm effectively.

On Fiddlesticks you want to have a balance between Mana Regeneration, MP and AP.
Heres a list of the runes I like to use:
Glyph of Ability Power x 9
Having raw AP will help immensely to your
Bountiful Harvest, which is your most important spell, next to
Crowstorm
Seal of Mana Regeneration x 9
Fiddle can sometimes have a bit of a Mana problem early game, so having
Seal of Mana Regeneration helps out a lot.
Mark of Magic Penetration x 9
Magic Penetration is, as you probably guessed, good against champions who build Magic Resist. Champions will build magic resist against you, so having that extra MP helps. If they do not, may God have mercy on their soul.
Quintessence of Ability Power x 3
Quintessence of Ability Power gives the same advantage as
Glyph of Ability Power, just at a higher bonus. You may also want to try out
Quintessence of Spell Vamp

Summoner Spells are completely up to you, although i recommend you take
Flash as it effectively doubles the range of your
Crowstorm.
I like to use
Flash and
Teleport.
Flash because of the reason stated above, and
Teleport because you can recall, get items and teleport back with losing little to no experience. It also give you a global presence on the map which is a great advantage.
Ignite is also a viable Summoner Spell, but in my experience I have not needed it.
The choice of Summoner Spells is up to you, but please, stay AWAY from
Heal for obvious reasons.

you should get

Using these items you should be able to play a great Fiddle in mid lane.
Learning how an when to use your
Crowstorm is the most important part of being Fiddle, it makes or breaks him. It takes a lot of practice and trial and error to correctly use your
Crowstorm, so practice often.
Early Game - Mid Game
Get your enemy to around half health, let them push to about the middle of the lane, feign retreat but make sure they're in range of
Crowstorm and then ult to them. If they
Flash, (Which most champions do) you also
Flash and they should be dead soon.
Mid Game - Team Fights - End Game
After the lane phase ends, I use my ult to initiate or to clean up, never in the middle of a team fight. If you use your ult in the middle of a teamfight there is a much greater chance of being silenced while channeling which will effectively end Fiddle's teamfight ability aside from his
Terrify>
Bountiful Harvest combo. However, there are always going to be scenarios where these rules don't apply. Everything depends on your judgement.
Zhonya's Hourglass
Getting
Zhonya's Hourglass is one of the best items you can get for Fiddle. It makes your
Crowstorm something that is truly feared. Once your ult stops channeling and your flashed to your target location, pop your Zhonya's as soon as you can, otherwise you will die quickly. The enemy team will panic, running anyway they can to avoid your Crows. Your team should follow into the team fight, if they don't, goodbye.....and good luck.
