Why lich bane??????
Lich Bane is actually a strong, viable item on Nidalee. You'll get the passive activated every time you Pounce or use any other ability, which you do frequently. The extra mana pool is of course self-explanatory. You'll also get some movement speed and AP, so you're a mobile hunter.
Your guides are solid, can't do anything but upvote!
Thanks a lot Kalaaver! You've made my day :)
Good build but I prefer change lich bane for warmog.
That's probably viable, but I prefer Lich Bane as its passive works so fluently with her Pounce.
Explained in PMs.
Hahaha, good one. We were hoping no one would notice :/
Explained in PMs.
EDIT: Edited because Janitsu.
Have you ever played ranked?
Apparently, you haven't since you're level 24...
Anyways... I agree with most of the stuff GrandmasterD is saying.
The fact that MR Glyphs aren't mentioned at all is a huge problem. AP Scaling Glyphs are great against the easy farm lanes, but if you go up against something like Fizz you will get absolutely obliterated.
Bushwhack / Pounce is a good idea to take level 1 when you are confident that the enemy may try to pull out an invade. Otherwise, you lose all of your trading potential in lane at level 1 with Bushwhack / Pounce. Nidalee isn't one to trade very well at all pre-6, but you set yourself behind even more when you take Bushwhack / Pounce first.
Athene's Unholy Grail is better than Seraph's Embrace on Nidalee in most scenarios for a couple of reasons. Firstly, Chalice of Harmony is a great first back item that gives you great mana regeneration, and magic resist to help you survive. Tear of the Goddess only provides you with mana and mana regeneration, no defensive stats there. Additionally, Athene's Unholy Grail provides CDR which allows you to max out your CDR with a blue buff, and Elixir of Brilliance.
Lich Bane and Rylai's Crystal Scepter are simply outclassed by the other AP items that Nidalee can purchase.
Barrier needs a lot more description because it is probably the best summoner spell to take on Nidalee in general.
I don't see the significance of putting, "Used when Mid-laning." for every single item.
Please fix your change log: "November 23th", "December 1th"
Honestly, most of the problems associated with your guide is your lack of experience of playing the game. At lower levels of play (especially prior to level 30), Nidalee is a monster because people don't know exactly how to dodge skill shots or basic laning in general. So, you probably haven't eperienced what it's like to be shoved to tower from the start of the game, or be zoned for taking Bushwhack / Pounce at level one.
I really recommend before you move much further with this guide that you firstly establish your credibility as a Nidalee player a guide-reader can trust. Showing your own match history is great and all, but that's one series of games. The best way to prove to people that you are knowledgeable is by climbing in ranked which means being level 30. It also may help you establish your credibility if most of your games in ranked are on Nidalee and you at least have a positive W/L ratio.
You have your Primal Surge. You can eventually spam this, if you get blue. She shouldn't be aggressive, so minimal Magic Damage should hit her.
Have you ever played ranked? To protect your junglers blue, put them in high traffic bushes. It will probably scare the enemies away. Really, you don't need to go with Javelin Toss as your first ability. It's about tactical decisions, not the ones who deals a lot of damage.
You won't get Seraph's Embrace-shield if you go with Athene's. You'll get 250 Mana with Archangel's, and 10 regeneration. Also a bunch more Ability Power. Athene's will only give you CDR (which you already have enough of), some MR and Mana regeneration. As you use your abilities in Cougar form the most, you don't need as much mana in late game.
I love cookies :( But you're kinda right. I'll put that up as a note, thank you.
Well if you disagree, I cant to anything with that... It's what I've experienced In-Game. I think Rylai's is a good enough pick to be considered (therefore in "choose one"). Nidalee doesn't survive anything, she's pretty squishy. If you get CC'ed and 3 champions chases you, you're most likely dead. GA will give the team a second to arrive where you "died", and you might survived a unnecessary death.
Surge doesn't do anything in the early-game and already giving up on playing aggressive because you don't play with mres in your runes is weird. Or maybe it's the other way around, I dunno but not running magic resist is pretty much removing the little presence you have which, imo, is unwise.
No never played ranked, never, I don't know anything about this game... I know what AA provides but you don't get CDR anywhere in your build and Nidalee definitely needs it. Also, Tear provides absolutely 0 laning power and since Nidalee is already a weak laner, I'm pretty sure that's a poor choice. Additionally you mention that you don't need as much mana late-game, yet you get an item that provides 1000 mana.. #logic
It falls off quickly and who doesn't like to have their blue as long as possible?
Nidalee is very good in getting away from dangerous situations. Zhonya's is fine as a survivability item but Rylai's really doesn't do anything. In cougar form you don't need the slow and in human form it only procs on two unreliable abilities. The health also falls off late-game. Why do you not mention Spirit Visage?
