Champion Build Guide

🐾Nidalee SUP

By Lulu Mushroom Teas
Introduction
¡Hello, folks!

For those who love playing Nidalee, and particularly Nidalee SUP, I've decided to share my know-how on this original, strategic Build I've been playing and experimenting for a while with quite interesting results --especially when we synergyze with our BOT Laner, and also our team is able to graps our role as Nidalee SUP in this fashion.

The Mine Field Concept

The plot-twist here consists in making a Champion that gets no natural CC into a CC-specialist (at least in terms of Slow). However, this ain't no simple Slow granted by Rylai's Crystal (a relatively cheap item by the way); it is a Slow that should carry Imperial Mandate's Passive: the mark that affects enemy Champions immediately after any landed Nidalee's Ability (including her W Sthealth Traps which can be anywhere on ground in the map), provide the triggered mark has got enough time to cooldown (which, in principle, I think could be accelerated through Item Haste --but I do not feel like it is necessary).

The main strategy consists in rushing those 2 items (Upgraded Boots are usually nice to have first though as a pit stop; sometimes some sort of Anti-Heal itemization should be achieved first though). To reach this incredible "Mine Field" Power Spike of Nidalee, we should consider this is not exactly an expensive Build, but it takes a little while --until mid game usually-- so, one great risk is taking so much disadvantage on early game that we do not reach the Core Build in a proper time, and then when we've got this Power Spike, maybe it is not enough to counter all the disavdantages we've got on our team. On the other hand, it is a Power Spike so powerful that it can completely turn around the events of Team Fights. The logical approach is that we must often 'prepare the terrain' of a fight, before we fight; this means a lot of Roaming, running and jumping walls, Warding and taking of Wards, and of course, knowning and conceiving the most interesting spots to set the Slowing-Marking Stheahtly Traps --on the lanes, in bushes, on narrow passages, etc. You'll be surprised to notice how effective this strategy is. In Team Fights, you keep Healing & Buffing your Allies as you throw your Qs from maximum distance and try to protect the flanks with your powerful Vision Control, your Mine Field and Slow from all Abilities; on the frontline, don't be too hasty at jumping at targets for suicidal plays: Nidalee SUP is way more useful alive than dead, and you can still outplay mostly anyone on the enemy team if you keep alive; remember that the Imperial Mandate's Marks can only be triggered by your allies anyways, so you better work as a 'distributor' for your team of those Marks than as the main Damage Burster or Bruiser; you cannot distribute more Marks if you're dead... well, actually you can because of the Sthealth Traps, but it's usually better to be alive on most cases.

About Nidalee SUP

What we've got here is an incredible Supportive Champion that: i) can Heal and Buff allies; ii) has high Mobility and can leap over smaller walls --sometimes even bigger walls-- being able to take bigger risks than most other Supports would; iii) can lay multiple Sthealth Traps that can reveal even Invisiblity and that can be counted as a great deal of bonus for Map Controlling purposes; iv) is a natural AP Burst Damage dealer and, if properly Built and played, has good Scaling for both Damage and Sustain.
