As a somewhat continuous Nocturne player I have tried many things when I have laned him and this glass-cannon stuff just does not work. He is not Tryndamere or an ranged AD Carry. He is melee who gets in the heart of fights and often gets focused once people can see him.


- Skill selection is fine Q first E second and W last in the standard and should be kept as such.

- The build is a huge no-no. In today's games this does not work for Nocturne First off you go straight glass-cannon with no health bonus to your MELEE champion. Then you put no ARMOR PEN to top it off. I would take Black Cleaver in a heartbeat over a second Phantom Dancer for the Armor Pen if I went glass-cannon but I do not.

- You need Frozen Mallet and Atma's Imapler or Warmog's Armor and Atma's Impaler. That how the game works nowadays and it is need on Nocturne for him not be taken down in 2 seconds. I went against a Nocturne who had Infinity Edge and Phantom Dancer as items after boots. I had Warmog's Armor and [{Atma's Impaler]] and The Brutalizer and you know who won? I did. I always do when those two instances happen.

- Nocturne also is not a Trinity Force champion with your build. Why the hell would you want to have 3 Zeals??

- Your runes are atrocious with the exception of your Quintessences and your Greater Mark of Desolation. You DO NOT need attack speed marks and glyphs. No. no. no. Get additional magic resist per level glyphs and have all Armor Pen marks. Your seals are a viable choice since Nocturne is mana hungry when not in the jungle.

- In Pros and Cons section, Nocturne should not be in a solo lane if laning as so many solo top or mid champions can wreck his face.

- Shroud of Darkness should be used for more than what you describe. It will protect against Karthus's ult Requiem as well as Caitlyn's ult Ace in the Hole. Do not just put it aside because you forget to use it. Skilled Nocturne players will use it and use it effectively.

- Frozen Mallet is an amazing item for Nocturne is gives you health and the slow is great. Just because you get a speed boost in Duskbringer does not make [{Frozen Mallet]] useless, come on now.

These are my thoughts. If you change your guide around maybe you will get a positive vote from me. It is a good start but there are too many things that I see that I have tried in the past on Nocturne that just do not work well anymore. Efficient usage of coding by the way

btw you need make a alternative build because msot of the time nocturne start the fight and everyone focus him, need a tanky build too,
