Intoduction

I used to never play a melee champ as every time I played as one I fed the opposing team. This was until I played gangplank. OP GP (as I like to call him) is a great solo top champ who dominates early and late game. If this build is used you will also have great farming ability as you can one hit minions.

Masteries

Take the usual masteries with 21 on the Offensive end (Full ad, Armour pen, Crit damage and attack speed), and 9 on the Defensive (Armour and Health).

Skill Sequence

Start with your Q and the onto W and then E. Max Q First, Then E, Then W. As usual take your Ult at 6, 11, 16.

Runes

Take Crit Damage Quints and Crit Chance Marks for the damage needed. Then Health Glyph and Armour Seals to make you less Squishy.

Items

Start of with boots and health pots. When you first recall take a Doran's Blade and Avarice Blade. Next B.F Sword onto Infinity edge, and then Zeal onto Phantom Dancer. Next Atma's Impaler then Youmuu's Ghostblade. To finish off get Trinity Force.

Pro's of Gangplank

His Q is amazing for laying out a heap of damage whilst staying out of range of enemy champs.
His W is good To dtay in lane for as long as possible.
His E gives you that extra attack speed you need to take down enemy turrents.
And his Ult is amazing as it is global, meaning youcan take down enemies on the other side of the map.
