He will blast your poor little facey (and not with what you want). Dodge every Q basically. Polymorph doesn't stop his E (the electric speed field) while it's going.
Champion Build Guide
*I would recommend this build in casual play, not ranked.
I've been around since January 2015 (the beginning of Season 5) yet I'm still usually hot garbage at this game unfortunately. To give myself credit, I have improved a lot and do actually know some does and don'ts about league, I just don't think most of the time I'm playing :P. The amount of times I have tilted myself doing something stupid, or declining to do something intelligent, and realizing it was a mistake right after (or during really) is quite astounding. Clearly I suck at split/multiple second decisions, but don't write me off, I still know some things!
This is my first and potentially last guide (unless... soraka top anyone?), I was bored and love wrecking nerds with this build so here I am. Sorry it's not the best but I hope it can still help someone out, even just for something small like helping choose runes or the like.
My cred is over 6 years of playing, many games top, and 182,000 points into mastery 7 on Lulu.
PROS
+ good poke + good escapes + tank killer + easy CSing + can be a split pusher Your Q and autos are very good for early poke, enemy melee laners are sure to suffer. You can use your Glitterlance slow, Whimsy movement speed, and your R Wild Growth to escape. Getting Kraken Slayer means she can kill tanks which can be very handy in the top lane. Lulu is never a bad CSer in my opinion, and turning her into an adc makes it even easier. The addition of Runaan's Hurricane makes wave clear a breeze. |
CONS
- squishy - useless shield/heal - forces ally onto tank - no AD scaling Lulu is squishy like other enchanters, and you definitely won't be picking up any tank items with this build. She also usually has good defenses but without AP or heal/shield power her Help, Pix! shield is garbage and Wild Growth heal isn't what it could be either. Another issue with converting an enchanter/AP-based champion into an adc is she doesn't have any AD scaling so there is damage lost in the switch (the AP you are not getting from items and the AD that is only applying to autos). |
Hail of Blades: This Keystone is useful for trading/poke in lane, although if that's all you're taking it for I'd go for Press the Attack instead cause that rune is still great for poke and better past laning phase. However it might be better to take Hail of Blades if you'll need to burst your enemies down quicker instead of having a more drawn out fight.
Bonus Runes: Switch the armor to magic resist depending on the enemy laner/team comp.
Passive Pix, Faerie Companion: Pix is more central to Lulu's kit than most people think. Those annoying never ending autos you hate? It's actually Pix firing out a second wave of bolts immediately after Lulu's, although unlike hers they can be blocked by other units. Her Q Glitterlance also has a second bolt fired from Pix, which means they're actually two separate bolts that can hit from different places and/or directions and can therefore reach different lengths away. Which is where in this build your E comes in. Lulu's E Help, Pix!, as the name implies, sends Pix out to the target as a shield on ally champions or damage to enemies. You can also use E on ally minions, it just doesn't shield (that would be weird). This means you can hit Q from quite far away if you have a target, OR place Pix on the champion you want to hit and it will shoot out from beside them (still aim with this, you can still miss even when Pix is right there next to them. Believe me, I'd know 😔). |
Q Glitterlance: I max Q first because, even though later on with this build it doesn't do much damage, it still does a decent amount of early game poke when you wouldn't have many (ap) items anyway. And the slow is always useful, definitely use it for that if anything. |
W Whimsy: Your W is great for this build as it's designed to buff adc's with attack speed, and you are now THE ULTIMATE adc. And of course the movement speed is very good for chasing someone down or running away. Don't forget it can also polymorph too, when someone all-ins you just turn them into a lil snowman or cupcake or what have you, or do it to the enemy carry in team fights. I am unsure if maxing it first would be worth it but I'd still get it second unless you want some extra poke damage with your E. |
E Help, Pix!: Your shield will be terrible, but as previously mentioned you can place Pix on both allies and enemies, including minions, and this extends your Q Glitterlance range. The damage it does to enemies won't be much but you can still use it as poke during early game. Side note, Help, Pix! also grants true sight for four seconds. |
R Wild Growth: And last but not least we have Lulu's ult, where you or your allies thwart death. If someone is on top of you and you don't like it, self-ult. Or save a teammate if that would be more appropriate. You can use it as a heal or knock up or preferably both. |
