Introduction
Flash is a must in order to get out of tough situations. Which, is most likely going to happen. It compliments well with his ult since he can drop his turrets, ult and then flash out giving him an escape and possibly a kill.
Ignite is highly recommended since it's another ability that does dmg.
Ignite is highly recommended since it's another ability that does dmg.
Early game
The main focus of early game is to build a Rod of Ages and to starve the enemy of their farm. This can be achieved by pushing the lane, harassing and farming. Pushing and harassing are easy but farming is a bit difficult because of the turrets.
Heim is a natural lane pusher. There really isn't much he can do to slow it down because of his turrets and rockets. The turrets attack on their own and the rockets shoot three at a time.
It helps that most champions don't have enough dmg output to farm well under their turret. So, heim might as well use this to his advantage and push the lane.
Be wary of the jungler since pushing the lane is asking to be ganked. Turret placement and position are key for defending a gank. Drop your turrets at a safe distance behind you so you can run to them. When the minions are on the enemy turret fall back to your turrets. Only go near the enemy turret to harass with heim's rockets.
Harassing your opponent with heim's rockets is easy. They shoot 3 at a time and focus the nearest target (The rockets do not focus the champ). So, to hit the opponent wait till they are in range. If they are in front of their minions shoot the rockets at em. If the enemy stays behind their minions, then push down the minions till there is 1 or 2 left in the wave then shoot the rockets at the enemy.
Do not harrass with the grenade. Early game it does not do much dmg, costs a lot of mana and therefore should only be used to stun.
Midgame
At this point you should have your rod of ages, boots, 2 turrets and ult. You'll be around lv 9-11. During this phase of the game push your lane or look to support teammates. Heim will deal tons of dmg at this point so if you see bottom or top being pushed go and help, otherwise continue to farm.
The next item to build is ryalis sceptor followed by chain vest and negatron cloak. So keep the farm up and always to be wary of the jungler.
Lategame
Always be with your team and always have two turrets available at any moment. When in team fights drop the turrets and ult. Look to build abysall scepter then guardian angel.
Team Fight
Heim has a significant role during team fights. His turrets play a dual role which is to protect his teammates and at the same time will deal dmg. Both Ryalis sceptor and Heims ult will slow the enemy. This is obviously huge because the adc, as well as other players, can move around more freely.
In response to heim's tremendous role, the likelihood is that heim will be the focus of attack.
The sustain on heim will help him to survive longer which means the turrets will protect your team and dmg the other team for an extended period. So when heim gets jumped, stun and run. Then trust your turrets and team to decimate the opponent.
