Insufferably high peel and also a freaking tank. Very hard to get your adc ahead unless you get an early kill.
He'll try to E you whenever you step into his adc and can ruin every all-in you make.
Try to roam to get an advantage somewhere else or play around his cooldowns.
Expect his ult when getting into a big fight and be ready to disengage.

The extended E range is HUGE. You can set up plays from miles afar, and your ult's have amazing synergy.
If they don't respect the lvl 2 all-in and you get prio for it, it's almost a free kill.
After 6, you can go all-in from very far away with R + E + W and even flash, and if she gets the R + E stun in the follow-up it's over, you won.
Keep in mind though, that you are both a bit weak early. Xayah doesn't have a lot of mana, so she can't be spamming abilities, and against some match-ups you'll have to play safe.
Having said that, it can be a bit hard to coordinate plays so it depends on how much experience you both have playing with each other.

This guide will suit you if you just want to check the best full build for the patch and leave, and also if you want to understand when to build each item, and what their syenrgies are with Rakan's kit.
I like guides that are deep but to the point, so I will try to convey that here.
I'll make sure to update the guide the same day every new patch drops, to have all the info at hand in once place.
W + AA + Q + AA + E away
(you can also start with an extra AA if you are inside a bush)
Ultimate combo when close to enemy:
R inside a bush + Flash into enemy + AA + W + AA + Q + AA + E away
Ultimate combo when far from enemy:
R + E the closest ally to your objective + Flash if needed + W + AA + Q + AA + E away to heal you and your teammate.
To ensure the longest CC chain, you'll want to engage with R or W, and wait until one CC is almost finished before using the other one. (Will attach video)
