Hello all and welcome to my first ever guide. I play a lot of Rammus and the fact that I don't see him played more often is a mystery to me. He's great for climbing low elo's, because most low elo champions will be something like a Master Yi, Xin Zhao, or Udyr. Rammus can easily out perform low elo junglers and rise above their corpses. Rammus helped me climb out of Bronze hell and into Silver and I'm sure he can do the same for you.

I believe the items are self-explanatory. The Thornmail synergy with Rammus' W is amazing and helps clear out camps and minion waves fast. Dead Man's Plate and Randuin's Omen are both amazing armor items. Randuin's is particularly favorable since most ADC's build Crit items. A nifty Adaptive Help is all you need for the AP champs on the enemy team and the health regeneration is also a nice bonus over something like Abyssal Mask.

The skill sequence I've chosen works amazing for me. Maxing W first helps a struggling early game Rammus tremendously. Maxing Q next is probably the best option, considering that you'll be using it often for Ganks. Last but definitely not least, E last is normally what I do. I know that some like to max E first, but I don't think it's the most valuable since you'll be weak early game.

Rammus in ranked is amazing, considering that you can counter most of the jungle picks that you're going to encounter. Yi's, Xin's, Jax's, and Udyr's are going to have a hard time.

Pros:
Good blind pick
Good counter to common junglers
Very tanky, can be the team tank and engager

Cons:
Weak early game
Lengthy early game clears and solo dragon clears
Weak early game jungle invades

Rammus has a great engage. He can Q in, W, E, and press R to chip away the enemy champions. With the help of your team, you should be able to win team fights easily like this.

In conclusion, Rammus is an amazing and under appreciated jungler. He's always underestimated and it's funny watching someone engage you, only to run away seconds later after they realize they can't beat you. Play carefully early game and don't get behind. Take good care of watching the enemy jungler and seeing where he's going to gank, you don't want one of your lanes to get behind.
