Introduction
I often find I get that problem when 4 of your team lock insantly and they say go tank, I often would not be able to do this but with this guide I found I could easily have fun as a tank.
Honestly others may have a better idea than I do but I find this will work in most situations, as you pick up a cloth armor at the beggining the health runes even it out.
With Rammus's shield you can tank alot of damage and do a fair bit back with your armor and passive.
The magic resistance seems very neccesary as you dont get many items for magic res early.

You do get alot of armor with this build and its only near the end you get some good magic resistance. With this armor you get alot of damage which can get you some easy kills at turret.
The thornmail can counter alot of strong AD champs especially a evul trynd. If you find the enemy team doesnt have any real AD I would reccomend replacing the thornmail with the hexdrinker early and late game get a force of nature.

Powerball may be seen as a good engager but early game it can be very useful for farming or getting back quick. You can easily move from one lane to another with this and save a turret.
Your defencive curl is very helpful tool if you are hugging turret or tanking it while your team can drop them. You may want this at level 3 so you can go into a good fight and stay alive easily.
Taunt is very powerful for getting some defensive kills or offensive with some backup. I would reccomend maxing this so you can be useful in ganks very quickly.
Tremors do alot of damage overtime and has a short cooldown, can be very efficient for minion farming on a full lane, engage with your powerball in the large group then pop this and you could make alot of money.

Playing a tank is very expensive and you wont get many kills to get your money so try farming a lane as much as possible and blue buff could be very useful as popping your ultimate every minute may drain you a bit.
