well many players choose to estart with doran's itens but I dislike these itens, the can't be used for anyting, so I start with the cloth armor, and 5 health potions, then when I get enough money I go back for boots, then i try to stay in lane to get at least 700 gold for the chain vest, then I keep on the lane so I can get the full sunfire, with the sunfire ready, then with the sunfire we will get more money since we can kill more minions, then u get the thornmail, starting with the chain vest, and with the thiornmail done, we finish our core build being the core:

The rets of the itens may depend on the oposing team, if they have lots of CC and/or lots of AP, i would get banshe's veil as my 4th iten, then i get guardian angel, and later a force of nature.

Well, since u're the tank, u're not going for kills, but u're going for assists, once u get the thornmail ready, u can get really annoying for the opposing team, since u taunt them with defensive ball curl and the ult they will take lots of damage and when they try to escape u just powerball and kill. at level 11 if u already have at least the glacial shroud, u'll be able to take turrets pretty easy since u use powerball to get to the turret witout taking damage and then turn off powerball, use defensive ball curl and tremors and keep hitting it, if noone notices u they will lose lots of turrets with this, at early game u need to play really safe because u don't want to feed, with taunt lv 2 u can get some assists if u have a great damage with u in the lane, and when someone is jungle u really should go to a 2v1 lane because u can just taunt them in your turret so u'll have no problems

some player like to get powerball at level 1 to get faster to the lanes and to get first blood, but I really prefer taunt, with fortify, if u use in the right time u can get pretty easy kills, so the skill priority order is:

TREMORS -- TAUNT -- DEFENSIVE BALL CURL -- POWERBALL

summoner spell i always chose flash and something, as rammus i like fortify because of the taunt, but u can get exaust, ghost or cleanse, the other i really dislike in a well made rammus but it's up to you.
