Rammus is very weak in early game so play it safe till level 6. Let your lane partner know it too since some people actually think that rammus can do it all already in level 1. So after playing save till level 6 you can start killing. Of course never try to solo since rammus is a tank and wont do much damage until you get all the items. So when level 6 take your partner with you roll on to someone if you wanna start fighting, after that taunt the person to attack you and use your ultimate. NOTE: Rammus has a very strong ultimate, dont waste it on minions and always use it on champions. You wont stand a chance without it.
There are many rammus builds and every build has to match the player. For example with this build the idea is to never solo, always help teammates and only backdown if you know that you would otherwise die. Since your a tank you can never leave your teammates alone. Of course if your like 200hp you can teleport back to base. Your teammate would be stupid not to notice this and attack head on solo without you. Not many people think of this but when I play with rammus there just has to be the element of surprise. Think about it, your teammate is for example ryze who does alot damage but cant take much damage. 2 people are going for him, then you show up from the bush while rolling. The enemy might panic a little which gives you and your friend ryze good chance to kill them. Attack the dps first, dont let them run and always remember your ulti. Dont get mad if you die while rammus since it is your job. :D
