Hi, I'm a Yasuo main bring you this guide. Yasuo is by far the most fun champion to play. Requiring a lot of skill, pulling off great plays just feels great.

This guide will show you item builds and tips + tricks.

Pros +High mobility with Sweeping Blade +Can easily dodge skill shots with Sweeping Blade +High damage with his critical strike being doubled. Also meaning less items for 100% crit. +Good trade due to his damaging blocking shield (just beware of minion aggro) + Wind Wall is extremely efficient against those who has skill shots

Cons -Vulnerable to crowd control -Squishy -High skill cap -Vulnerable without minions -A fully stack Steel Tempest (tornado) alone is hard to land on an enemy

Marks and Quintessence: I take all Mark of Attack Speed and Quintessence of Attack Speed. This gives me 29% attack speed. More attack speed means a lower Steel Tempest cooldown, which makes stacking a tornado shorter. Also because of this much attack speed, you could buy a defensive upgrade to boots instead of Berserker's Greaves.

Seals: For seals I take Seal of Scaling Health because Yasuo is quite squishy, so this will help. Against an AD matchup, taking Seal of Armor might be better.

Glyphs: For glyphs I take Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist. This is pretty standard. What else could you take? Attack speed? Nah, that will make you extremely vulnerable. It is also optional to take the non scaling Glyph of Magic Resist if against an AP matchup.

For masteries I take 18/0/12.

This is obvious. You can Flash to reposition yourself in teamfights, or anything in general. Use it to kill secure, get a kill, etc. Also you can make amazing plays with it (some are in the Tricks section).


This is better than Ignite due to the fact that Yasuo is squishy early game. Also this is a better mid-late game spell than Ignite. Plus this spell technically lets you 1v1 anyone as long as you aren't that far behind.


Ignite isn't completely useless. Take it if your lane opponent has any sort of healing (like Vladimir, Fiora, and Dr. Mundo). If it's really small, I don't recommend it.

Great spell for top lane. Map pressure, help you team if you are far away. There are many uses to this spell.

These two tricks are the best known.

Beyblade:

( Sweeping Blade + Steel Tempest + Flash)

Info: This trick is generally used to catch your opponent off guard. The easiest way to land a knockup is to Sweeping Blade + Steel Tempest. But it is easily avoidable, like using Flash. The trick, Beyblade is a lot like Sweeping Blade + Steel Tempest. You will have to Sweeping Blade + Steel Tempest, but you flash right after you click Steel Tempest. This is totally unexpected and usually hard.

Airblade:

(Fully stacked Steel Tempest + Sweeping Blade + Steel Tempest + Last Breath)

Info: In order to do this trick, you'll need about the lowest cooldown on your Steel Tempest (1.33 seconds). First, use your empowered (fully stacked) Steel Tempest to knock someone up (use Sweeping Blade for a higher chance of knockup). Next, Sweeping Blade + Steel Tempest to a target, and immediately Last Breath afterwards. When you do this correctly, the Steel Tempest will hit the person you knocked up. This gives you an extra stack on you Steel Tempest, so you will just need to Steel Tempest once after your ult to get a tornado ready. This stack isn't removed because your ult removes the stack(s) at the beginning of the ult, this happens a little bit after. Airblade is also possible with any sort of knockup from your teammates.
