Im a Nidalee top main on EUW.

I played nidalee since season 2-3 were it was a standard pick in the toplane, and has pretty much played it ever since.

I have league on and off for about 6-7 years, and just got back on the hype to react plat once more, and hpoing to get into diamond at some point in the future!!

Nidalee, I have played in around 500-600+ games over the years and is a very comfortable pick for me in top lane, but I also like to switch it up from time to another.

Nidalee is very strong early on in the top lane.
She can use the tree brushes to her advantage, as cover and to proc her passive which let her poke, and stack Grasp in lane.

Level 1: You start W, which let you be safe in the early stage of the laning phase.

Level 2: You put one point in Q which let you play more aggro and have a kill potential with the Cougar Q - execute. If you have a hard matchup go E second.

Level 3: Power spike, since you get you E which let you trade and out sustain your opponent almost every time.

Nidalee is strongest early on and at level 6. Her early game she can poke and force the enemy laner out into a reset, and this is were nidalee can get her lead.

This is also one of the reason for going Demolisher in the runes, since you can force some early plates, for the free gold.

Nidalee slowly starts to fall of in the middle game since, she lost to other champions big power spikes, which is around this time. Nidalee can still if she has a lead, extend the opponents early game, and shrink the mid game, to get to late game as fast as possible.

Nidalee Shines a lot in the late game, not in the same manner as other top laners such as Jax, but she get very annoying to enemy mid laner and adc, because of her tankiness and ability to stick to them.
