Hello! Renekton is a great all around champion; he can shut down just about any other champion and can also be an initiator/off tank (health-wise).

Now you're probably asking yourself, why should I follow this guide? Well, if you're decent at this game (last hitting, knowning all champions skills, map awareness etc), you'll pretty much have stats like these by following it.

Cons:
-Bad against ranged champions

Depending on your play style you can replace Flash for Teleport / Fortify / Ghost /or Ignite if no one on your team has Ignite. I highly recommend that you get Exhaust because it is great for shutting down any carry or any champion for that matter. Exhaust is also very useful for first blood and slowing enemies down so your team can catch up and assist you with the kill!

UPDATED RUNE (Glyph) CHANGE:

Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist is probably the best glyph choices for Renekton because he tends to lack MR. Glyphs such as Greater Glyph of Attack Damage , Greater Glyph of Scaling Attack Damage or Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction may be more suitable depending on your preference.

When playing Renekton it is also viable to set your masteries to 0/21/9.

PASSIVE:

His passive is Reign of Anger : Renekton gains 5 Fury per attack. Having 50 or more Fury empowers his abilities with bonus effects but drains 50 Fury when they are used. Out of combat, he loses 5 Fury every 2 seconds. When Renekton is below 50% Health, Fury gains are increased by 50%.

READ CAREFULLY:

This passive is extremely good. With it you can stay in lane longer than your enemy, and it's good for early game harassment. It scales also with his skills! So if you use your Q or W you will get fury faster than using normal hits, since Renekton doesn't scale with Attack speed

Q SKILL:

His Q is Cull the Meek : Renekton swings his blade, dealing 40 / 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 (+0.6 per bonus attack damage) damage to nearby enemies and healing for 10% of the damage dealt, up to 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150.

When Renekton has more than 50 Fury he deals 50% additional damage and heals for 15% of the damage dealt, the healing hard cap is tripled. Consumes 50 Fury.

This is Renekton's best skill. When maxed, you can almost clear a wave of minions in 1 hit, it's good for harassing your enemy and it's perfect for teamfights.
When having FURY you can heal yourself for a lot when laning or even jungling.

REMEMBER to harass your enemy with this skill ONLY if you fight near minions, so you will get MASSIVE Lifesteal

W SKILL:

His W is Ruthless Predator : Renekton's next attack swings twice, dealing 5 / 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 (+0.75 per attack damage) damage per hit, stunning his target for 0.75 seconds and applying on-hit effects.

When Renekton has more than 50 Fury, his next attack will swing three times dealing 5 / 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 (+0.75 per attack damage) damage per hit and stunning his target for 1.5 seconds. Consumes 50 Fury.

This is a stun bot skill, you can use it to assist a teammate, to save him, or to even destroy your enemy in 1v1. Use this skill carefully, for example, if you are vs nunu or a katarina, wait for them to ulti and then use it to stop them, you will probably save your team.

When using Fury, its damage is increased and the stun lasts much longer, depends on the situation, use it with fury only when you don't have minions around. Otherwise, use your Q with fury.

E SKILL:

His E is Slice and Dice : Slice: Renekton dashes forward, dealing 45 / 75 / 105 / 135 / 165 (+0.6 per bonus attack damage) damage to targets along the way. If he hits a target he gains the ability to use Dice.

Dice: Renekton dashes, dealing 45 / 75 / 105 / 135 / 165 (+0.6 per bonus attack damage) damage along the way. When Renekton has more than 50 Fury during Dice, he deals 50% additional damage and shreds the armor of targets he hits by 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 for 4 seconds. Consumes 50 Fury.

This skill is amazing for escaping, for passing through walls and for harassment. Can't catch an enemy? use it on a minion, it will refresh, then use it to catch him and use your W to stun him. This is the best combo ever.

ULTIMATE SKILL:

His ulti is Dominus : Renekton empowers himself with dark energies, gaining increased size and 300 / 450 / 600 health for 15 seconds. While empowered, he deals 50 / 75 / 100 (+10% of ability power) magic damage to nearby enemies and generates 5 Fury per second.

For your items you could substitute for a depending on the opposite team and how well you're doing.

Your is one of your best friends when playing Renekton, do your best to remember to activate it when engaging an enemy champion! It's a well rounded item because it is great early because you will have a nice amount of damage and activating it will give you quick attacks + your damage = enemy running for their turret because a tank won't save them if executed correctly.

When facing a heavy AP team Renekton tends to have some trouble. To make Renekton more sustainable to the AP some items can be swapped in and out; this means you will need to get some MR or anti AP items. Items such as Hexdrinker, Force of Nature, Banshee's Veil are always great if you're facing a Teemo, Karthus, or Lux etc. Those items can be swapped in for your Black Cleaver, Bloodthirster, and even Frozen Mallet .

By the first or second time you go back you should be close to being able to buy your B. F. Sword
