Introduction to Raping face with Jax

OK here is some key things you need to know about jax
1. He goes rawr
2. using Empower and then Leap strike makes squishies CRY
3. Thornmail will make you cry
4. Except for the damage proc your ulti is for the most part useless
5. Picking up AP at any given point will help, but as much as AD though

My build will not make you invincible, it will not give you pentakills without trying. However it will enable you get the most out of Jax, and laugh as you picture people crying from your almost nukelike damage output.

Pros / Cons of the build

Pros
-Your damage output will be ridiculous
-You will look suspiciously tanky
-You can initiate ANYTHING
-Once you have Frozen Mallet , Using W and Q nothing will ever get away
-You aren't relying on your damage as much as your procs, rendering items that give armor pen for the most part useless

Cons
-Once you get your first or second multikill they will ALWAYS FOCUS YOU.
-THORNMAIL WILL KILL YOU
-You don't have any real cc unless you are focused

Masteries

I put the masteries in defense in order to buff up your dodge. As jax you NEED dodge and with nimbleness suddenly you can chase a hell of a lot better. I feel that you never level fast enough unless you put those points in to Awareness because if you die at any point you will start falling behind in xp. The rest go into Offense to buff up your damage output, any thing helps.

Runes

I find the rune build is pretty obvious, on a build that's relying on procs your going to need attack speed and a lot of it. Your also playing jax, the only character in the game who is almost completely reliant on dodge chance. As for the ability power all of jax's abilities scale with ap and ad, meaning having a good mix of both will get you very far.

Items

BOOTS OF SPEED
You need those boots to start off with if you want to get early kills. Once someone sees a jax in their lane they will stop being quite so happy go lucky if you keep harassing with Leap Strike (Q)and Empower (W) followed by RUNNING AWAY.
NINJA TABI
This seems like the most obvious starting choice for Jax ever. The more dodge chance you have the less damage you take and the more often you can stun, which will either make you survivable or more gank capable. Either way it's a plus.
SWORD OF THE DIVINE
This item is what will make Jax Jax. The damage proc on this is fantastic and by the time you have it you will have your ULTI meaning you will hit for stupid amounts of damage on a fairly regular basis. Start counting your hits at this point so you can time Empower and Leap Strike with a double proc on this and your ULTI resulting in squishies imploding (aka like 70% of a squishies health :D)
GUINSOOS RAGEBLADE
Quinsoos in unison with Divine and your ULTI will make everything cry. Your attack speed and AP will be sky-rocketing off of minions, which you can shortly turn on any enemy champion that gets too close to you (aka Leap Strike distance :D)
FROZEN MALLET
K now here is where you start being incredibly annoying to run from. You will quickly start chasing everything, possibly even Yi or Warwick. Your attack speed will be quite high at this point and you will be constantly slowing anyone who picks a fight with you. Be very careful not to over chase because you are not quite tanky enough at this point to handle a 3 on 1
TIAMAT
Tiamat is the most under appreciated piece of dps sex in this game. You pick a fight with Annie alone and all you get is good damage, suddenly garen starts spinning to win and your in a bit of a pickle. OH WAIT A MINUTE I HAVE TIAMAT. You continue to focus Annie untill she dies (which at this point will be VERY FAST) Then you W Q Garen and he dies. BECAUSE HE DIDNT REALISE HALF OF YOUR ANNIE DAMAGE WAS EATING HIS FACE.

At this point you can do whatever you want. I put up black cleaver because it makes tankier characters cry in their sleep however madreds bloodrazor or starks fervor would also be just as viable. Starks will give you some viable lifesteal and still buff your attack speed while madreds will make you a tad less reliant on your procs. If your tank is a ****** or the enemy team is cc and magic heavy feel free to build mercury's treads instead to lower the likelihood of dying. More options include Sword of the Occult/Mejai's Soulstealer if your REALLY fed and want to put a little bit more fear of jax into enemy hearts. It's really all up to you and feel free to tweak it at any point for your game.

Skill Sequence

Jax's abilities are what make him unique and powerful, but to someone who has never played Jax before they will also be your downfall.

Leap Strike
This your chaser, your early game harasser and your gtfo oh **** button. Early game this is where you have fun, pick this up and scare the **** out of people by leaping out of the bushes when they first get in lane. You will laugh as squishies get squished.

Empower
This is your nuke, you will use this to buff auto attacks, to last his minions, and to suddenly turn your Leap Strike into an ability that screws everyone over. If you play smart at level 2 or 3 you can start getting fed. Early game if where you shine, with proper timing you will turn a 2v2 into a 2v1 and subsequently a double kill.

Counter Strike
I personally hate this ability. It's jax's ONLY cc and unless you are getting focused you cant use it, and by the time your getting focused it's probably too late. In addition if your laning against a caster you can't even get this ability to go off.

Relentless Assault
Quite a fun little ulti in my opinion. When you auto attack a target the more consecutive shots you get off the more dps this thing will give you. When you add a little bit of attack speed you suddenly start proc'ing ALL THE TIME. Throw sword of the divine into the mix and you have consistent and major damage. On another note with your dodge chance if you see a ap carry come to gank you on his own, activating this ability and turning on him can be to your advantage.

Team Work

This is where Jax gets comedic. Your doing a 3v3 with Warwick on your team
He hits his ulti to initiate
You jump in with empower up
Oh
you stole his kill
:D

As Jax you have to lane with someone who has a suppres stun fear what have you. You have absolutely no CC until someone starts wailing on you meaning unless they gank you cant stun. On a team with someone like Warwick or Fiddlesticks or even Sion (:D) you can just let them stun then leap in for a kill or 2.

In a team fight your greatest asset is your ability to bypass the tank and go straight for their carries. When your tank initiates you must be just behind them in order to hit that bastard caster in the back lifestealing your tank. He'll stop q'ing and start qq'ing when they realise they're dead.

Jungling

The only time you should ever really jungle with this build is for buffs which you will rarely need support to get. If you have one reasonably tanky person with you the 2 of you can easily drop the Baron or the Dragon. On 3v3 you will always want to hold those 2 buffs at the top of the map, the speed boost and attack speed boost will make hunting enemy champs incredibly easy.

Summary

In short this build will turn you into one of the nukiest jax's on the fields of justice. Feel free to leave any thoughts or improvements in the comment section below.
