Hey everyone! I'm Doubtfull, a Challenger NA Jungler since Season 6. I have been playing Fiddlesticks since his rework and have hundreds of games played with him.
I never played Fiddlesticks before his rework, but LOVE the new version. He has extremely high carry potential Post 6, and is a great addition to anyone's champion pool. He has a unique playstyle, but with the help of this guide you can master him!

Watch me play Fiddlesticks LIVE at

Dark Harvest

The two most popular rune choices that you're going to see on Fiddlesticks are Electrocute and Dark Harvest. Having played with both runes extensively, I personally prefer and recommend electrocute, especially if you're playing in higher elo. The consistency and early game damage of Electrocute is preferable to the possible late game scaling of Dark Harvest.

If you're playing in Gold or below, you might prefer to take Dark Harvest due to the more chaotic gameplay and better chance of the game going late.

Perfect Timing
This is a great rune for Fiddlesticks if you plan on building Zhonya's Hourglass in the game (you normally do.).

Cosmic Insight
At this time I still run cosmic insight because the decreased CD's on smite/flash are very useful. Fiddlesticks.

Hextech Rocketbelt
Protobelt was always a decent item on Fiddlesticks last season, but there were so many good options that you rarely would build it. In the preseason however this is a fantastic mythic choice, and my personal favorite right now. It gives you movement speed towards targets, extra damage, and the Mythic Passive gives you magic pen which is fantastic. The way I usually decide on mythics now is based on my own team composition. If I am the only AP source on my team, I will go Protobelt so that I can make better use of the magic penetration that the item gives to your legendary items.

Night Harvester
This is probably the Mythic that I build most often these days on Fiddlesticks. It gives you a large chunk of burst damage and move speed when you damage targets, which is perfect for your chasing people down in your ultimate Crowstorm. This item also gives CDR upon completing legendary items, which is great for [Fiddlesticks]]. More CDR = more ultimates and fears.

This is one of those situations where an item sounds good in theory, but ultimately I think you'd be crazy to not opt for one of the first two mythics I listed. If you DO go with the Everfrost route however, you can chain your fears with this item to lock up your unfortunate targets for over 4 seconds of continuous cc.

Sorcerer's Shoes
You will build these boots in every game on Fiddlesticks. More often than not, I will actually rush these before I build anything else. Fiddle loves the move speed to get around, and to gap close and chase targets after ulting.

Demonic Embrace
This has potential to be very strong on Fiddlesticks this patch. Gives you tankyness + Max health burn, a great pick into HP stacking enemies. I'm not sure if you'll want to rush this over something like a Zhonya's Hourglass but I could see this slotting in nicely as a third or fourth item.

Zhonya's Hourglass
The classic 2nd item on Fiddle (into full AD teams I will go as far as to build this item before my Mthic). You're going to be building this just about every game. You can't use your W Bountiful Harvest in stasis, but your ultimate will still go off. The stasis can be used to make crazy engages and get you out of sticky situations, not to mention buying time for your cool downs.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter
You don't see this item being built too often on Fiddlesticks but it can be extremely strong. it allows you to perma slow your R Crowstorm targets, and just gives you that much more utility. There are so many good items on Fiddlesticks that I find it hard to ever actually build this, but I suspect it's always a solid buy, especially after building Liandry's Anguish.

Rabadon's Deathcap
You scale incredibly well with AP (especially your ult), and so this item is always a powerful pick up as a fourth item after Zhonya's Hourglass and Liandry's Anguish or Morellonomicon. With this you delete anyone standing in your Crowstorm. The downside is the item is very expensive, and does leave you a little bit squishy.

Void Staff
If the enemy team is heavy stacking MR than Void Staff is a must. It doesn't feel too great to buy, but it is incredibly powerful for how much it costs.

Banshee's Veil
If you are against at least 2 AP targets, building this 2nd is too bad of an option. You still get some damage, but you also become pretty tanky. The CDR is nice as well, and the shield can help you get off some R casts that you otherwise wouldn't have.

Spirit Visage
This is a pretty cool tech that I've seen Fiddle players build sometimes, but haven't tried it out myself yet. This gives your CDR and makes pretty much unkillable to AP users. It's like a weird Tank Fiddlesticks thing, and I have to say I like the idea of it. Consider building this when your team doesn't NEED you to be a glass cannon and you're against 2+ AP comp.

Mejai's Soulstealer
Dark Seal was buffed this patch, which makes Mejai's an even better option than it was before. This item has the potential to give you tons of AP for free, movespeed, and now even a little bit of HP. I have a love-hate relationship with Mejai's Soulstealer on Fiddle because your Ultimate will often times put you in pretty awkward situations, but I could see this being a must-buy when ahead on Fiddle this patch.

It seems like there might be a lot of healing this season, so there is a good chance that this will be a necessary pick up. Every class seems to have access to anti-heal now, so maybe communicate with your team and get someone else to buy it. A slightly cheaper and still viable upgraded anti-heal option for Fiddlesticks is Chemtech Putrifier.

Cosmic Drive
This is one of my favorite new items to come out this season. Cosmic Drive gives you HP, AP, and a TON of Ability Haste which is very valuable on Fiddlesticks. Most importantly though, it gives you movement speed when damaging an enemy. This allows you to chase down targets with your Ultimate Crowstorm even easier. This is a solid pick up for a 3rd or 4th item.
I'm going to wait for the speed run community to crack the best new clear on Fiddlesticks, but until then here is a video that I made during Season 10 that will explain a few things, as well as how to do your first clear.
If you're going to play Fiddlesticks you're going to need to know how his Combo works. Honestly, the video that I linked above will explain this much better than I can through text, but I am going to try never the less.

Your Q Terrify fears are target for 1-2s (based on level) and deals %HP damage based on their current health. If you have recently feared that target, instead of fearing them again, it just doubles the damage you would do.

Once you have at least one point in Q, you can fear enemies by dealing damage to them when they have no vision of you. This means that if you are standing in a bush that isn't warded, and you hit them with an E Reap or you Ult them, they will be feared.

Okay, now that we have established all of that, here is the "standard" [[Fiddlesticks] combo.

Use your R Crowstorm from out of vision. Immediately use your Q Terrify, then use your E immediately, and follow up with W Bountiful Harvest.

This is the STANDARD max damage combo. Now there are situations where you will want to combo a little bit differently.

In order to CC chain for as long as possible, after you have a few points in Q Terrify, you might want to hold your E Reap for a few seconds, so as not to overlap your silence with your Fear.

Often times, it is also better NOT to cast your W Bountiful Harvest right away in your combo, and instead to keep chasing after your targets. This is usually the case if you know your W won't be enough to kill them. Chase them for as long as you can, and then cast W.
Here are a few tips and tricks that I've picked up with Fiddlesticks over hundreds of games that I hope will help!

Vision is EVERYTHING - Controlling vision is everything when it comes to successfully playing Fiddlesticks. This means buying Control Ward, asking your team mates to buy them. Using your effigies on cooldown to clear wards. It also means not revealing yourself to the enemy team unless you have to. If they don't know where you are, they SHOULD warp their playstyle to avoid getting hit by a don't big R Crowstorm. If they don't, then that's even better.

No Items Needed - Fiddle might be one of the only junglers where it isn't entirely trolling to not base until he has a 2-3k buy. Due to all of the %hp damage in your kit, Fiddlesticks isn't reliant on having items to deal damage to enemies and camps. Also during ganks, often times you will still have the damage to kill people with the help of your laners, even with no items. Don't be afraid to hold your base for awhile, especially if you have good gank opportunities or camps up near you.

You are immobile - I couldn't think of a catching tagline for this tip, but it is extremely important nonetheless. Your only escape tool is your Ultimate. Though it might not feel like it at times, remember this and play accordingly. If you get caught out, you are in trouble.

Scarecrows are combustible - Beware starting dragon in front of everyone. You are much less of a threat if you are tanking dragon and the enemy team knows exactly where you are. Sometimes its better to stand back, let your team do the dragon, and try to position yourself for a better ultimate. They will need you around to smite the objective though!

Ult early and often - This one is simple. Your ultimate has a really low CD, especially after level 11. Use it often and don't be afraid to go for a hail mary here and there. Just maybe not RIGHT before an objective like Dragon or Baron spawns.

Screw it - Okay these names are getting less creative, but sometimes it's completely okay to just ult on targets in full vision. If I awkwardly run into someone, there's a good chance you'll see me Q Terrify them and then just Press R directly on them. It isn't pretty, but it's still a lot of damage and usually burns a flash or secures a kill.
Teamfighting on Fiddlesticks is fairly straightforward!

Control vision with [[control ward]s and try to get your team to bait them into you. Then you Ult in and fear/silence combo the highest priority target on the team that you can reach.

That's pretty much it. Save your Zhonya's Hourglass active for when you are about to get hit with a CC ability, preferably while you are in the middle of your Crowstorm.

Don't be afraid to Ult just one person, a lot of times thats all you need to sway a teamfight or convince the enemy team to back off of an objective.
