Rell
If the enemy support picks Rell, just play someone else. If there was a threat level 6, it would go to Rell. She completely destroys you (Approx. 35% Winrate Vs. Rell as Sett Supp)
Draven
Snowballs hard, high damage, capitalizes well on your CC and can kite enemies if they target him.

Champion Build Guide
Facebreaker is your biggest tool as Sett. It grants a stun if hitting 2 enemies (1 on either side) or a slow if only grabbing one. This CC enables your carry to capitalize and deal massive amounts of damage to one or multiple enemies. Most new Sett players don't realize that this stun happens when ANY enemy is on both sides. This absolutely includes minions. By flashing in between an enemy Champion and an enemy minion, then using your facebreaker, you are able to stun the enemy instead of slow them by just grabbing a minion on the other side as well. This little bit of additional cc makes Sett very dangerous when the enemy team comes up and approaches the minion wave, because you could be sitting in the brush, lurking, waiting for the smallest mistake to capitalize on. Waiting for the smallest overcommittment and then all you have to do is flash-facebreaker and all of a sudden the enemy dies.
Additionally, your Ultimate can almost entirely guarantee a kill on the enemy when positioned correctly. Not only is your ultimate just a massive grab and pull, it is a slow as well. You can grab either of the enemy bot laners with your ultimate straight into your carry and, as long as your carry isn't completely braindead, they can absolutely delete the enemy. You can guarantee a Show Stopper off of a Facebreaker by using Knuckle Down for a speed boost after landing the stun. You can run around behind the enemy and then use your ultimate to pull them into your carry.
Once your Grit meter fills up, try and use your Haymaker as soon as possible in order to soak up as much damage as possible. Haymaker grants you a large shield based on the amount of damage you have taken, and deals a large amount of true damage in a line in front of you based on grit. This allows you to finish off enemies who are low, as well as soak up a ton of extra damage.
POSITIONING
As a melee support, along with most other Melee Supports, brushes are your best friend. By playing around the brushes and using flash and hexflash to surprise the enemies, and using sweeper to clear wards from the brushes, you can keep the enemies on their toes even when you are not around. Additionally, Steel Shoulderguards are a ward support item, which means by running sweeper you are not losing any vision utility you would normally have to trade away. If you see a ward placed and the enemies back off, you can actually one-shot the ward with AA-Q-AA-AA before it disappears. Just remember if sweeper is not up, play in the brush as if the brush does not exist because the enemy can see right through it, and will absolutely take a free kill if they can get it.
WARD PLACEMENT
There are a few places that are standard to ward as a support: River, Enemy Jungle Entrance, Dragon. However, as Sett, you will want to ward the brush closest to the enemy tower when you are not there. This will enable you to see any wards that are placed or any enemies that may lurk in it trying to catch you off-guard, so you are prepared for when you get back. If you have an extra ward, feel free to ward deep river towards mid or the lower mid brush.
ROAMING
Typically, Sett is HUGE on being able to roam and secure midlane as well as botlane. Against some botlane comps, he simply dominates, giving him extra time to help out the midlaner. When your carry is holding lane, or you win a fight and you still have relatively high health, camp out near mid in order to either get a kill against the enemy midlaner or to stomp out the enemy jungler if they try to gank. You will most likely not be able to win a 1v1, however you will be able to easily secure a pick midlane against long-ranged or non-tank laners. Additionally, with good use of your ultimate and E, you can easily secure 2v2s against the enemy midlaner and jungler if they push up to tower. On the rare occasion that you DOMINATE your botlane, you may have the opportunity to even roam toplane and secure a kill for your toplaner (although don't plan on doing this every match as you may leave your carry to die which I guarantee they will not appreciate)
LATE GAME
Your late game plan is extremely similar to your early game plan: Engage with Show Stopper, CC with Face Breaker, tank damage, land your Haymaker for a shield and a lot of free damage, wait for your cooldowns, repeat. In longer team fights, you can get off 2-3 Facebreakers and 2-3 Haymakers. These CCs and slows are extremely helpful for your team in teamfights as there is no limit to the amount of enemies that can be grabbed and stunned other than however many can fit into your area, meaning that if you can grab 3-4, any AOE abilities will end up hitting EVERY. SINGLE. ONE of them, making mages typically extremely good with him late game.
You should, as a support, always try to play with your team. You should rarely, if ever, be split pushing and should leave that to another teammate like ADCs or midlaners such as Veigar, or top laners like Nasus or Yorick who are great at split pushing. Your utility from your Ultimate is far too high for you to not help your team. It's okay to die as long as you soak up abilities, stuns, and damage as much as possible through Haymaker, as your death will most likely trade for 2-4 enemy lives. Make sure you and your team are as coordinated as possible through pings, chatbox, or voice chat if you are in a party so that your team is able to follow your engages and remind you to not dive every single enemy you see.
If you have any synergies, counters, or builds you would like me to try or investigate leave them in a comment and I will do my best to check them out! I'll respond as much as I can, and if I deem it important I would be happy to add it to the guide! Counters and Synergies are more likely to be added than anything else, so please let me know if you think there's something missing!
As a representative from the Off-Meta family, the community is amazing in being able to optimize the most ******** builds and I've loved every little bit of it. Thank you all for giving me ridiculous off-meta material for DAYS. Much Love and One Love <3
